Cant get better than this. Makes me want to hit up Alaska to put it to the extreme test.

I highly recommend this coat. The zipper snags from time to time but it's great overall. It's very convenient not having to layer up to go out side just at shirt and this coat.

This jacket will help my husband survive winter. He comes from TX and has always been complaining about cold New England winters.

I really like this coat the fit is great and it is really warm cant wait to wear it .

Bought this for my husband who hasn't had a good coat since we were teenagers. Winters can get pretty cold in Jersey! Excellent fit, stylish, lightweight, and REALLY warm. No pneumonia for him this year!

I was a little worried that it would be too short, being 6"5, but i got the extra large and it has a decent amount of length - it fits just right.

Bought this to be ready for cold winter ahead. Its a great parka. It looks nice and fits very well. You can see from the workmanship that it is very well made.I'm ready for the el nno winter ahead!

I love the McMurdo Parka. It is no heavier than any other winter coat I've had but it is extremely toasty inside. We haven't gotten into the heart of winter yet so I can't give my review on that, but, I am fairly sure I am going to be really impressed with this coat. If it lasts as long as my last coat (12 years) I'll be a really happy customer.

I just moved to North Dakota from a tropical island, needless to say I needed something to stay warm. This jacket protects against the wind and rain. It will definitely keep me warm up here in the North country. The size is perfect. I used the North Face website to size it. I have long arms and it is still great. The only complaint is the hood sits a little awkward, but I'm sure the more I wear it, it will be better. Overall, great warm coat that I feel I can layer with anything under it, and great motion flexibility to go ice fishing or snowboarding this winter.

I was looking for new winter jacket online and fell in love with this parka right away when I saw it. Price is a little bit high but it's worth it since the North Face is a famous and trusted brand name. It was delivered within estimated date range. I ordered size M but it was too big for me although all of my jackets from other brand names are size M. Then I brought it to the North Face store to exchange to size S and it fit perfectly. I feel really warm and comfortable when I wear this jacket. Winter is coming and it's not time for parka yet but I'm sure it works fine during cold winter.

I went and bought this great winter parka and was going to get the black but instead I tried on the green one. Guess what I got the green instead. Love the color, the coat and the new design. Very nice, very warm and good quality.

I got this jacket for my boyfriend's bday (yes, I bought a North Face for a September present!). He loved it. I bought his usual size, as people said it run large. I decided to buy his size and it worked perfectly. I got the black color. Online it looks like it is more grey, which I didn't like, but in person it is true black, which works perfectly for his working attire. Perfect length. The pockets are just perfect, even the ones on the chest, which people say are too small were perfect for him and they are at the right height. 100% recommended

I haven't gotten to use this coat yet because I just bought it, but I can tell it's going to be a great coat for the cold Chicago winters! A few things to note......this coat DOES have a 2-way zipper now....and the pockets ARE lined with fleece. I saw those were a couple of the cons people posted....but I guess they listened and fixed those issues!

Picked up this coat from the Outlet Store in Niagara on the Lake for $270 ... what a deal. I have been finding that the older I get, the cold of winter has become increasingly harder. So, this coat fits the bill. Extremely warm and comfortable. It is however a pretty heavy coat.

I purchased this parka because I needed a coat that was well manufactured and warm . It sure did not disappoint . If you need a warm coat you would be wise to look into this one.

After battling through Chiberia and polar vortex last winter, I decided that I needed a warmer coat this year.... I headed to the NF store in Evanston for a new one. I bought the 3-1 thermoball jacket, but didn't think it was warm enough - I already have coats in the same performance range. So I took it back and traded it in for The McMurdo Parka. I'm so glad I did, I love this parka! It provides protection from the cold, has a nice hood (with detachable fur), and the down content is nice and enveloping without being too puffy. This coat is perfect for my half-mile walk to the el train - I love it! This parka marks the 5th NorthFace coat in my wardrobe - I'm protected in every type of weather!
