One more thing: I don’t know why these are labeled narrow — they fit my wide feet just fine!

Love these! I had to really hunt to find summer shoes that are office-appropriate — closed toe and heel. I don’t know why they are so scarce, but these are attractive, comfortable and check all the boxes: —Look great with skirts and dresses —Work with wide feet —Disguise my hideous cankles —Have a motion-control footbed for my plantar fasciitis Woohoo! The only surprise was that my always-39 feet needed a 40. Slightly odd but no big deal — I just exchanged for a size up.

I’m a teacher and on my feet all day. Comfortable shoes are a must. Usually I find deals on Danskos or whatever brand I want to buy. I never pay full price. This time I did. This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and they didn’t disappoint. They are comfortable all day, even with the heel. They are cute enough to wear to school or out with my husband or friends. I have no regrets about the price and am saving up for the brown pair! I’m Dansko, I always wear 41. For these, I had to get a 42.

These were amazing on the first day. I walked all over the place and helped customers in concrete floors with no issues. The only problem was that I had a single blister in the top of one of my toes. Not a problem at all with the heel rubbing or sore feet or anything like that. I highly highly highly recommend. They are not cheap, but they are worth it! I love the style and the fit! Excellent shoes!!

Let me start by saying I have horrible feet. Bunions, wide forefoot and narrow heel, history of plantar fasciitis. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5, normal or wide width depending on the toe box. I got these in 39. They are super cute and can be business casual for work or just casual. The look great with trousers, crops, jeans or skirts. The ginger brown color is lovely. They are far more comfortable that I anticipated. Great support from the much loved Birkenstock insole. They are very stable and do not feel clunky at all. The forefoot is roomy enough for my funky feet. I've worn them to work a few times and have no problems with blisters or rubbing. I have yet to test them out for extended periods of walking and will wait for them to be a little more broken in. If you are on the fence, give them a try. I'm so thrilled! I am mid-50s with knee and foot problems and gave up on heels some time ago. I had never tried Papillio (Birkenstock with a wedge heel) and wondered if, like other heels, they would put pressure on the ball of my foot or feel wobbly. They do not -- they are so comfortable and beautifully balanced with your foot nestled into the cork sole so you feel very steady. They designed the back of the wedge to angle inward which minimizes the appearance of your foot. I wear a 41 and my feet are downright dainty in these. So stinkin cute --- I will buy this brand again and again.

I also bought the ebba Birkenstock’s ankle boot that has the same heel as the Mary. I am a senior citizen that has worn Birkenstock’s off and on since the 60s. Since I’m old now there is no brand better for comfort. The Mary style seemed a little young for me. It was the same fit as the wedge in the ebba boot, but I decided to give them a try anyway. They are comfortable and I love them! Don’t hesitate, your never too old!

I love Birks and the great arch support they have to offer. I have flat with with high arches so when I stand, my feet caves in right away and I get intense pain just standing for an hour. I was looking to buy a pair of covered birks that would help in California winters and these fit the bill. I have been wearing them for a week and this is what I have found: Pros: 1. While not the best looking shoes they are still cute and go with several pairs of outfits easily 2. The arch support is absolutely great. I’m in no pain at the end of the day 3. They have a wedges feeling to it and funny enough I can wear and them with socks and they still look good 4. Sole support is great. I feel my feet does not cave in and my center of gravity is maintained so I don’t wobble Cons: 1. It’s a bit of a chore to get in and out of the shoe. I’ve to undo and redo the strap every time. I hope this will change after a lot of use 2. While my feet are no longer in pain that is not the case with my toes; though the toebox is wide, I guess it needs breaking in more because the toe box rubs against the toe nails and top of the toes so many of the digits feel very very painful. Apart from the last point everything else about this shoe is great! I wear 8.5 in birks and most of the shoes and 8.5 fit perfectly with a bit of room to wear medium socks. Overall great shoes but for breaking in the toebox!

I love the style. Exactly what I was looking for...sandal with closed toe and birk footbed. However, the front was way to narrow. Pinched my foot to even get into it. There was no way I could wear it. Sadly sending back.

Best shoe EVER. Ultra comfy while giving me some height, wide (yes), plantar fasciitis, cute as could be, closed toe and heel makes them office appropriate. Never take mine off three seasons a year. I wear them everywhere. Shopping, dinner, dancing, beach, work. Seriously, they are that great. More COLORS please! Would buy blue in a heartbeat. :)

Love these! They are comfortable-especially for a heeled shoe. The foot pressure is at the heel rather than the ball. Which was huge since I wore them to a wedding and was on my feet without really going anywhere for several hours, including dancing! My feet were tired by the end of the night but not like they would have been in a traditional heel. It rained all day too so the closed toe was really nice. Plenty of room in the toe box and the way the feet stay put on the heel rather than sliding to the front prevented my toes from smashing.

Bury me in these! Most comfortable, dress em up, dress them down- but know you can be on your feet for hours in them, no pain!

I have these in a dark brown and I had to HAVE them in black. They are soooo comfortable!! I get compliments on these shoes all the time. They do offer long wear comfort. If you have a wide foot these shoes are ideal. I do not and they are still perfect. Perfect if your feet are prone to swelling.

I was DETERMINED to find a shoe under $125, but after 5 tries I gave up and ordered these... worth every penny. No toe pinching, nice comfortable footbed, and a nice neutral color. It's so hard to find cute shoes with 1 1/2" heels. With the wedge, the heel height is perfect! Birkenstock, you should design more shoes!

Fit is perfect and they are very cute, even for an older lady like me! I have gotten several compliments on these shoes.

Adorable. So glad I got these! A little tight across the top of the foot for me and there is a seam or edge on the inside of the toe box that rubs on my one third toe but I think it will break in nicely and a bigger size would be too big especially after the leather softens up. Got my standard Birk size and although I have a wide foot, this fit fine, especially with the little notch on top. I imagine it might even be a bit wide for a truly narrow foot.

TTS. Love the look and style. I can wear these all day teaching with no issues! They’re great.

I first tried on these shoes at a local store but they didn’t have my size in black and told me they couldn’t order them so I went to the Birkenstock site and tried to order there but they didn’t have my size either and had no estimate of when they might have them. I searched the internet for weeks and finally my physical therapist told me to try Zappos. So glad I did! Love these shoes! It’s so hard to find cute shoes for work that I can wear comfortably for more than a couple hours. I have a badly arthritic big toe and have trouble finding shoes with a big enough toe box that still look cute. I finally found the perfect ones!!

I LOVE these shoes. I got them in black a few months back and loved them so much, I’ve since bought these and a pair in brown. They are so comfortable (and I’m on my feet a good bit during the work day). I get compliments every time I wear them, which is pretty much every day. ??
