Fit was good, sizing good, obviously for serious,all-weather hiking, alittle too much for my needs. I expect these will last & serve the wearer well

I haven’t had a chance to wear these out on a trail yet but in casual out-and-about wear they’re very comfortable and solid feeling. I wouldn’t go so far as to say heavy, but rather “substantial”. I ordered 13D and these are just a bit large, but that was handled by the replacement insoles I use (I planned on using them already for these shoes). So if you use the stock insoles you may want to try a half-size smaller if it’s available.

Size was right and felt good. Nice shoe when you're out and about but a little heavy hanging out around home.

This is marketed as a hiking shoe, but there's not enough ankle support in this shoe to make it a good hiking shoe. I can tie it tight, and then slip it off and on again. That's not great.

These take a bit of breaking in. I've had them for a week and made a 2-mi walk today, but they fit well and are going to be great for Wyoming this summer. I'm thankful that Keen makes my size (16 medium) so I'm not stuck wearing tennis shoes or runners and have some support and distance from rocks.

Fit true to size, plenty of room in the toe.

Was very excited to get these shoes. Already have a pair of full Keen hiking boots build on the same chassis as these so was expecting a similar fit. Out of the box they were tight for Keen. The left shoe felt completely different than the right and I never have odd issues with fitment. Walking around the house my toes felt far up which is also very not Keen. In the end they went right back in the box and got returned. For a premium shoe at a premium price I was disappointed with the fit and could not justify trying to make them work. Maybe for half of what they go for it might be worth it but not full price. Quality and style wise they seemed good. I was impressed with the material and build but as mentioned the fit was just too poor to give them a full go.

Coming from a 3 year old pair of KEEN Targhee II, the only downside I noticed right away is that these Targhee III have significantly less cushion to them. That may or may not be a bad thing. Less cushion does let you feel what's under your foot better. However walking on pavement for long might cause some extra fatigue.

I have been a long time user and fan of Merrill Moab’s. Having heard good things about Keen I thought I would give them a try. On first impression I really like their look better then the Merrill. Also I think they are better built and expect them to be more durable. That’s the good. As I believe others have mentioned they definitely run narrow. Even with the wides they were snug. Kept them, hoping they would stretch some. There was some stretch but still after several short hikes my feet were getting a little sore. Also, the insoles are not as soft as the Merrill’s. So for comfort and fit I still favor the Merrill. Like the look and build of the Keen but beware the narrow fit and be prepared for a firmer insole.

Sadly, I had to request a return for these. I have had many pairs of Keen shoes, and my feet have typically been happy in them. This pair was different, though. There was a weird lump under the ball of my right foot that made them uncomfortable to wear.

I really like the shoe. Fits well, looks good but the laces are terrible. I've never had laces like this that won't stay tied and I've been wearing shoes with laces for a while ;-) Even double knotting them (first time I've ever had to even think about doing this did not help much - they still came loose). I previously owned LL Bean hikers, both low and high top, and never had issues with the laces coming undone. Replaced the laces with some from Rockwear that are supposed to be non-slip and stay tied. So far, so good.

I bought these Keen's after a thorough search for a waterproof walking shoe....primarily light hiking and walking the dog. Typical good Keen fit right out of the box, wide and comfortable toe box for an extra light sock. Vibram soles always a little stiff until they break in. Have walked in light rain and heavy wet grass. Leather and rubber outer sole have kept my feet dry. Think the thinsulate around the tongue helps. I use rubber Bean boots on a soaking day so these are a good alternative for the lighter rain days. So far, so good...we'll see how they hold up over time!

I like the shoes so my review is more directed at Zappos and Keen. When I received the shoes the laces were too short for tying. After contacting Zappos and Keen, I received the same answer “We don’t’ sell laces.”, so,they referred me to a few different vendors. It was a little frustrating.

I'm consistently a size 9.5 in shoes. With Keen, I have to get a 9 for it to fit.

These fit better than the Merrill shoes I had previously, but...the rubber around the edges of the toe box and some of the sole tread around the edges has separated. This started happening about 6-8 months after purchase.

they felt good when I first got them. I wore different shoes and didn't wear these much until the last year. I'd guess I wore them for 6-8 months constantly. They fell apart pretty quickly.

They are comfortable. They felt true to size for me. Like many shoes I have purchased though the last 10 years, they have just not held up. These ones lasted about a year and a half in Michigan weather before the first large hole appeared. I think I am better off buying cheaper shoes and just replacing them every year.

Fit perfectly, very comfortable. NOT water proof at all!! This was misleading and offered no protection for water, dew etc. I had to rub bees wax on them to get water proof protection. Not as advertised. The seems split after minimal use and proper care.
I'd also recommend:

Purchased these in 6/21 to update my keen waterproof shoes for hiking in Alaska. Great out of box. Broken in over next few weeks hiking. They worked for hiking on trails and bear trails. Kept my feet dry walking through shallow marsh and stream water. But for first time having work keens for years for hiking and work this pair is falling apart at shoelace eyelets where material connect to tongue of shoe. They are failing within the first year. Very disappointed with quality. Hiking shoes usually last me 3 years. These less than one Pictures attached. Time to move to different brand.

After a day my right foot began to roll at mid shoe arch and that foot began to feel mashed so I will return. Sorry as at first I thought they would be just right. The toe box and heel are good fit. Will go back to the Oboz and give them another try. 2 styles

These are ok shoes. I am a long time Keen wearer and these are in no way fitting like Keens. Way more narrow and no nice roomy toe box. They are a borderline fit for me due to the narrowness.
