Started off as a good pair of shoes. The inserts were very flat and uncomfortable, so I put in a better pair. We’re great for weekend hikes, and we’re waterproof in the beginning. Recently they leaked while going through a very small, shallow puddle. This morning I noticed that they wore tiny little holes on the top mesh part. I’ve barely had these a year, and live in New England so these never got used in the winter. Should not be falling apart with limited weekend use. Barely lasted a year of weekend wear, Very disappointed in the poor quality of Columbia products, when they used to be good.

These seem well made and practical, but the sole was too flexible, and there was zero arch support. I felt like my feet would be protected externally, but would not be well supported by the structure of the shoe. Instead I bought Keens which were fantastic and had all the arch support and sole structure that I needed for hiking in comfort and safety. I am returning these.

I had ordered some Columbia boots a few months ago, and wanted to match them with these, but the sizing was waaaay off. While the USA size on both said "9.5" the UK sizing on the new pair was a full point off (9.5/8.5) I'm not sure how that would even happen, or what size I should order now.

Not sure why other countries that make these shoes think that everyone one has very small and narrow feet. I could not get my foot into a size 9 shoe which would normally be too long for me. If I had my way there would be no stars for this hiking shoe.
