I work in a vet hospital and having waterproof shoes definitely comes in handy.

Just the support and comfort I was looking for. No tired feet after 5 to 7 mile walks. Finally, a shoe that supports my aching feet.

I do a lot of hiking through forests with tree roots, rocks, creeks and lots of mud. These shoes are absolutely perfect for me. The are light on my feet, very comfortable, have excellent traction and the waterproof feature is amazing. On my first day wearing them I stepped in a wet mudpile, the shoe was covered in water and the water rolled right off! I am able to easily maneuver and do not feel like my feet are weighed down or chunky. These hiking shoes could not be more perfect!

I need waterproof shoes for walking my dogs each day. Our walk is about 2 miles, mostly in grassy areas that are always wet in the morning. This is the first Columbia shoe I've tried and I couldn't be more happy with it. I like everything about it. The site recommended sizing up because they tend to run small. I did and the fit is perfect. Me and my dogs thank you!!

They are really comfortable and keep your feet warm. You can wear them in rainy days because it is waterproof.

I was so happy with the first pair of these that I bought 2 months ago that I ordered a back up pair. Seems like I've been searching forever for some very specific and important qualities in my outside shoes. They are truly breathable + waterproof which Just by itself is a freakin miracle! Can't even tell you how many waterproof sweat boxes that my poor feet have endured. My feet used to heat up & get so uncomfortable but now I have happy feet all day. They also have a stiff sole so I don't feel every little pebble and my feet aren't beat up after shovel work or a long hike. The laces & tongue feel firm so my mid foot & heel aren't sliding sideways like those other mesh type shoes. I've had some previous issues with plantar fasciitis and I can use my firm insole with the shoe and not have to do any drastic (weird) modifications. It's such a win!

So far this style fit the best until I tried the Columbia Isoterra. With most of the other Columbia styles I tried on, my toes were hitting the end and/or were tight around toes even with thin socks.

Best comfortable hiking shoe! Really for anything, I wore them to work and they felt wonderful. There is room for thicker socks, but shoe is still not too large. I plan to order the other color.

This is my first true hiking shoe I have ever owned and I love the way they look. Not as bulky as I expected. The fit is great as well and that's not easy when you are a woman at 6' 2". I've owned a lot of hiking boots over the years and the shoe is kind of a lighter version. Not quite a trail runner, but somewhere in between. I work as a scientific courier and cover up to 3 miles on foot over varying terrain each day. I bought these as a warmer fall and early winter shoe and I'd say they fit the bill. Boots are definitely heavier and this is a nice alternative. I took a point off of comfort because the cut out around ankle bone sits a little too far back and sadly rubs my left ankle when going down inclines. You don't notice if you are wearing thick socks, but I recall other costumer reviews saying this was a deal breaker for them. I only had one day paired with some ankle socks one day before I could see why. I haven't tried with thinner socks since it's actually been really cold here lately (they warm; not hot), but I would guess in time the padding will compress and they will be a lot more comfortable around the ankle. Also you have to bend the ankle when you lace them up or they will be way too tight around the ankle which will be uncomfortable and cause excessive rubbing. The grips on the soles are pretty deep, overkill for what I need. So far what little rain puddles I've experienced did not penetrate the shoe. Over all a really good shoe for what I needed.

Not pretty but practical. Bought them for fall. Think they will be perfect for rainy cool days running errands.

Took a solid year of wearing about 1-2 times per week to break these in. Once they’re broken in, they’re great, but it’s a little tight in the toe box until then, which I ended up feeling in the soles near the front of the foot. Keep in mind before you try to wear everyday when you first get them. Better shoes to wear sporadically until they’ve spread out from use.

They seem fine, but they are a bit long and are going to wear funny if I keep them. (Toes will go through the fabric since they are not under the reinforced toe.)

Hey gardeners, if you are looking for a flexible shoe that's truly waterproof- this is it! I bought a full size larger than usual, they fit. Less leather would be my only change on this style.

These shoes are clutch! I really wanted footwear I could wear when I take my dog out and about in the rain, wet, etc. that would keep my feet dry but would be flexible and have 'grippers'. lol. So when I read a prior review of someone who also wanted shoes to wear when she took her dog for a walk and they were these shoes and she loves them then I was sold. :) I am a size 8 but know that I like to wear thicker socks so I order a half size larger and did this time as well and I'm glad. If you wear thin socks then your true shoe size should be fine but if you like a thicker, fluffier sock then try the half size bigger. I mean what have you got to lose. So here' another good thing: I just received these and it's raining out so I put them on to put my garbage bins out while wearing them. I'm so psyched to wear these tomorrow to take my dog to the park. It may be raining, maybe not but the ground will be saturated and these shoes are gonna make my day!

I have not worn these for hiking, only for walking around the office (in a social distance setting). The bungee laces are great since I have a narrow heel, so it helps keep in place. My orthotics fit perfectly. My only complaint is that my feet feel hot! Even when I'm wearing thin socks.

I have really narrow feet but took a chance on these and they are not bad. I plan to purchase a liner with good arch support from New Balance and think I will be very happy with them at that point. Have never tried this brand in shoes before but they are exactly what I was looking for for non-strenuous hikes.
