These are 100% NOT waterproof. I wore them in snow and walked through shallow puddles and they seemed fine. But just wore them in heavy rain and the top mesh let the rain drops right in... my feet were soaked by the time I finished walking the dog.

I liked these shoes when I first got them. They are mostly comfortable and generally feel okay. They tend to make very loud flappy noises when walking though, which was a bit aggravating.
What's even more aggravating is that I haven't even had them 6 weeks, and have barely worn them maybe 2 dozen times for a total of maybe 20 hours, and the inside of the right shoe already ripped and blew out completely. This level of cheap craftsmanship is something I was previously unaccustomed to from Columbia, and I'm sort of shocked at how poorly made these shoes even are. My 4-5 year old Columbia OmniHeat mid-height boots are still in fairly good shape and have been worn for years.... so I'm pretty disappointed that Columbia seems to have taken a nosedive in quality as far as shoes go.
At the price point, and given that they've blown out in 6 weeks, I will not be buying Columbia shoes in the future, and will regrettably have to find some other brand (even though most other brands I've tried weren't as comfortable). Pictures are attached, where you can see the blowout, as well as the almost pristine treads due to barely being actually used for anything. Very disappointing quality.

I really like these boots. They are very comfortable right out of the box, but the arch support was almost non-existent compared to my last pair of Columbia boots. I find that these boots run about 1/2 size small. I normally where 9-9-1/2 shoes, but I need a 10 for these. They also seem to be a bit narrow, which is great for me as my feet are narrow. The medium width was perfect for me. When I replace the standard removable insole with my usual, more supportive insole, the fit is perfect. My previous pair of Columbia boots were very rugged, and have now transitioned from my hiking boots to my gardening boots. If these new boots last as long, I'll be very happy.

I took this shoes out of the box and immediately said "that is an attractive shoe". Size felt a full size too long. Wide size felt a little too wide in heel. Comfy but with trace arch support (I have high arches). I will try a smaller size on this one because it is a good looking shoe.

Normally wear 9.5, but they were tight width. Never owned a wide pair, but the wife felt better. Should have read reviews from other sellers that they run narrow.

Nice fit and feel. Needed a soft sole and these provided a solid comfort fit.

Perfect for my narrower foot. I am a woman who needs to wear men's shoes most often because of my foot length, and men's shoes are too wide! These are narrower and are perfect.
Thank you once again.

I was a Montrail fan prior to Columbia buying them out. Quality diminished thereafter. It appears as though Columbia/Montrail is back on track. Perfect fit.

This is a great shoe that I now own 4 pairs. Love the water proof feature and a good shoe to mess around in.

This Columbia model runs a half size small. I ordered size 9 originally and it was both to short and slightly too narrow. I ordered a 9 1/2 and the length and width were good. Normally I wear a size 9 D (medium width, I think it's called). Now that I have the right size they're great. Easy to exchange.

Columbia Men's Redmond V2 Waterproof Hiking Boot is a hybrid of a sneaker and hiking boot, but leaning a tad more towards the hiking side. The design is attractively rustic and the materials and construction appear to be of top quality.
I normally wear size 9 sneakers, so I ordered my size in the standard D width. I have a narrow foot and wear light to medium thickness socks so I figured I'd be okay or even have room to spare. However, while the length and heel fit were fine, the toe box was too snug on the little toe, albeit not unbearable. I figured most shoes stretch with use so I installed a shoe stretcher overnight and widened the toe box just enough to be comfy. Indeed they are extremely comfortable to walk in and fit my feet like a glove! The good fit means they won't twist and give like the super wide hiking boots I owned before. I'm sure footed on trails, lava rocks and city streets, so I'm a happy camper.
Normally D width shoes are too wide for me and I have to tighten the laces to the max. In the case of the Redmond, I needed to lace them loose to be comfortable. Never done that before! Obviously, they're not a true D width, but somewhere between B or C. Ideal for narrow feet dudes like me, but if you need a true D width you should order the E width variant of the Redmond and maybe size up a half size.

Great shoe. I had the earlier version of the Redmond and finally wore it out after about ten years. I was delighted to find this version. Very comfortable and rugged. The wide size was the perfect fit.

This is my second pair. A terrific, waterproof hiking shoe. I also wear it to play golf and find better traction than with a traditional golf shoe, plus it is 10 times more comfortable.
