Lightweight, comfortable, and the extra give in the knee is great - no having to hike them up before squatting. My waist is the same size as my hips and these fit in the waist after a little time to stretch, so I would guess the waist would be huge on hourglass figures. I'm 5'1" and the short inseam is perfect.

I have lost count of how many of these I've owned over the years. I travel for a living and these pants are great for everyday wear and fantastic for hiking. I have struggled in the the past to find hiking pants that stay on (narrow hips) and don't restrict my breathing. The drawstring on these pants with the snap ensures they are right where you need them to be. In addition, these pants do not have any interior seams which would cause rubbing or irritation, something I've encountered before in hiking pants. The fabric is light and dries quickly. I've had compliments on these pants both on and off the hiking trail.

I enjoy these pants very much. I am on the short/ chubby side but feel so comfortable in these pants. When wearing them outdoors for hiking or camping they keep me protected from the heat and things hitting my legs. They dry so fast if they get wet. I real like the style and cut of the pants they don't make me look stumpy. LOL . I have two pair's but will buy two more in other colors real soon. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. Columbia please do not get ride of this style or brand.

These are better than I expected: the fit is excellent, the material is lightweight but not flimsy. The only things I would like are more inseam choices (30") and at least one more pocket.

These are the BEST pants I have found. I now have 4 pairs in 3 colors. I wear them to work with heels as they are bootcut and look like dress slacks then I turn around and put my tennis shoes on and am ready for a walk, hike, shopping anything. Super versatile, they wear and wash well. Great product and great cut.

These pants are perfect for so many things! They are great for everyday use - can be very casual or can be dressed up. They are perfect for walking and hiking. Also, they are suitable for traveling since they are easy to pack, comfortable for plane, train or car, and they wash beautifully and easily without having to worry about wrinkles! I hope to get another pair in a different color!

Awesome, feel amazing

Bought my first 3 pairs 4 years ago (2015) and am buying more of the exact same pants today (2019). They have kept me cool in very hot, humid summer weather. I am 5' 4" tall and a little overweight, so I prefer clothing that is not stiff or bulky. These pants are soft and lightweight. The drawstring has been very handy. They may be less durable than some sturdier fabrics, but they make up for it with their coolness & comfort. The boot cut profile is flattering and a little sleek.

Love the fit of these pants. Can wear to work or with various activities. They run a size smaller than your typical size but this runs true for all Columbia active fit pants for me. Highly recommend these pants!

I love these pants and have a few pairs. They are great to wear when being active or for dressy casual. They wash and wear well over time. I would highly recommend them and look forward to trying other similar styles in the future.

These pants are so comfortable. The waist have one snap, and a drawstring. I am 5'7", very thin ( 100 lbs) The length is perfect. They run true to size. I ordered a size 2, regular length. These are definitely my go to pants.

I love these Columbia pants. Bonus that they come in two lengths. I am 5'6" but only have a 29/30 inseam so I get I size up and get the short length and they fit perfect. This is my second pair. Great for traveling!

I'm a PE teacher who is outside for about 6 hours straight in the Florida sun. These pants are perfect for blocking the damaging UVA and UVB rays. They are extremely comfortable and flattering. They move well and keep me cool even in the warm temperatures. They are easy to dress up or down with a t-shirt, blouse, or tank top. I would definitely recommend these pants! I'm 190 pounds and 5'5 and ordered a 14. I will be ordering a size 12 because they do stretch a little bit after you've worn them a few hours and I've lost some weight. I will definitely be ordering more!!

I love these pants so much I bought them in all 4 colors! You can dress up or dress down! Would 100% recommend these pants!!!

After trying two other styles I decided I would probably like these best. In order to get the colors in the size I wanted I ordered both size 4 and 6. I own a pair of cargo pants in size 4 in another style and based on what others say how Columbia sizing isn't consistent I was happy I had two sizes to try on. I put on the 4 first and although they would button, I felt like they were just a touch too tight. When I put on the 6 I was very happy with the fit, not too roomy yet if I go up or down a few pounds it won't matter. They don't gap in the back when I squat down which is a plus. These are nice enough I could wear them as day pants on travel. I'm 5'6" and 127lb, lean and fit.

I was looking for a pair of pants to wear to cover outdoor athletic events. I am an Athletic Trainer who needs to be able to move freely and have element protection while looking professional. These pants hit the mark. The waist was a little tight when I first put them on but they loosened up nicely. They are a little long. I am 5'5" and got the regular length. These pants are so comfortable and I am so glad I ordered 2 pairs.

These pants are super light weight and comfortable. If you hide the front strings they can pass as dress pants with the right shoes. They are great for traveling or any cool to warm weather days. I use them for work in the high desert where the temperature changes a lot throughout the day. If you get them wet they dry quickly and can easily be wiped off for multi days wear without laundering them.

I am very picky about pants, and LOVE these. So flattering - and I don't look good in pants. They have the right amount of stretch without being baggy. I wear them frequently on international flights and barely notice them. Seriously. I have ordered multiple pairs in case Columbia sells out or stops making them. I'm 5'2", more or less, and ordered the short length. Perfect.

I found these pants at Academy last year and decided to invest because Columbia, duh. I'm curvy and plus sized. Last year I bought the size 16. I've lost weight since and still wear those pants but ordered EVERY color in the size 14. They arrived yesterday and fit absolutely perfect. Not only are they perfect for me to fish in but i wear them to the office. The beige color looks like khaki pants and I can wear them on the golf course. I am so glad they were they making these 1 year later. I was afraid I wouldn't find them again. These are a must. I would tell the world. I love them.

I purchased the Nocturnal color in a size 14. I'm 5'8" 170. They fit like a glove, I'm curvy and was fearful they'd be snug in the thigh area but they are great. I went back and purchased black and grey. Very flattering and comfortable.

I'm 5'10", 170 pounds. Bought size 14. Perfect fit. Room to move, long enough and super comfortable, perfect for Texas weather. They aren't for really cold weather, but work fine for 50 degree range. I bought a pair in every color I could find in my size and threw out most of the other casual pants in my closet. I hate shopping and am hard to please. These are a real find.

Love these pants. Curvy body and narrow waist makes finding comfortable pants a real challenge. In most casual pants, I wear 12 to 14. I ordered 14 so they would not be tight in the thighs (old runners legs), but the draw string allows me to pull the waist in nicely. At 5'8 and 150lbs, they do not creep up the legs when I walk and do not pull at the back when I bend over. Perfect length, too. The side leg insets allow wonderful full motion, no pulling in the knee. They work great for brisk walking and stretching, hiking, or just running to town. I am very happy with the fabric as it feels very light, but cuts wind very well. I am even wearing them for hiking during the winter. The only minor issue I have is static. I am carrying loving reminders of my dog every where I go. Anti-Static spray and lint rollers are helpful, but really, static is the only issue I am having.

I love these pants and have them in all the colors. They are great for professional dress and casual. I wear them to work, everyday life and I wear them hiking!
