Bought these last year and loved them. They have great arch support. However towards the end of the season the elastic itself started to breakdown on one of the boots. Very disappointed

I love these boots. I'm really glad I got them. I love the look of them. I love how easy they are to get on and off. I love the great arch support. There are a few nitpicky things that I wish were a little better for me, but, overall, these boots are fantastic. The first day I wore them was all day at work where I have eight hours of both sitting and standing for extended periods. There were zero issues and my feet felt great at the end of the day. At first, the heel slippage felt kind of weird and I was a little skeptical about wearing them all day. But now I consider the heel slippage to feel natural, like when I wear a pair of comfy clogs. The heel slipping doesn't rub or cause any pain at all. When other shoes have heel slippage, I can easily lose the shoes off my feet so I don't normally like heel slippage. These boots fit so well, there is no way they'd be able to simply fall off. The next day, I wore them to a weekend-long quilting convention. All day, I rarely sat down for more than a few minutes at a time. I started feeling a blister forming on my right pinky toe (which I suspect has to do with a bunion I might be developing), so I put a band-aid on it and that helped a lot. My feet were pretty sore at the end of the day, and I thought maybe the boots were not going to work out. These boots were the only shoes I brought with me so I put them back on the next day. The arch supports were a little painful for just a few minutes (I think my feet were not used to such great arch support), but then my feet relaxed into them and the rest of the weekend I wore the boots with pleasure (and I've been wearing them to work since). The one thing that still bothers me the most is the right boot kind of eats my sock and pulls it down into the boot. Both boots do not do that so I'm sure it's not the socks that are the problem. I've only been wearing them for about a week now and, if the soles do start to come apart like shown in some other reviews, I'll glue them back on with some E-6000 glue and that should fix them.

This boot has good arch support, but perhaps too much of it. The arch feels more like a bump under your foot than good arch support. I've experienced this with other Chaco shoes, so it might just be my individual preference. Otherwise, it is a very nice and stylish boot that looks good.

I really wanted to like these, but they were just too tight in the ball of my foot. I don't have wide feet. I didn't want to try to wear them a couple of days to see if they would stretch out, so they have to go back. This happened with another pair of Chacos boots I ordered. I guess my feet just aren't meant for their boots.

Usually a true 9 so ordered 9 and 9.5 since reviews said it ran small. Ran large in me and wish I’d ordered 8.5. Couldn’t really make it work even with extra thick socks and insoles—heels were especially roomy though toebix felt like it might work. Wanted the flexibility of not always wearing hiking socks. Aesthetically, there really is no style to these, which I could almost deal with due to the arch support, but in the end couldn’t talk myself into the oversized fit and 8.5 are all out.

Sharp looking, I wished I could have kept them, but too narrow for my feet (which is a known issue, but I had hoped....)

Love these! I have regular to wide feet and these are good with thin socks, hoping they stretch a little to accommodate a slightly thicker one. I can wear them all day for work no problem.

Talk about arch support. These are true to size and have incredible hight in the arch. Very comfortable and rugged. They do have bit of a rain boot look in the black but I think once the leather wears a bit they will epic. Got then yesterday and wearing today.

The heel was very wide and my foot slid up and down as I walked, which made me scared of getting blisters. Also the arch support was a little far back so barely in my arch. However, my toes were very near the front so that I couldn’t size down.

The boots looked nice and are made of quality leather. They felt true to size. Sadly I had to return due to the arch support. I have high arches but it felt like a gold ball was pressing into my arch.

Unfortunately I found the arch support excessive and uncomfortable! Very stylish shoes however, and if you like high arch support these are for you.

Let's start with the style of the boots is cute and not clunky. I got the Morel suede and the color is a "greige". Nice and neutral and would go with alot of colors. The footbed has great arch support, although its a tad harder than I'd like, and they have a nice tread for grip. I wear and 8.5 but usually get a 9 in boots just to have room for thicker socks. These seems true to size from what I would expect. With a thinner sock, I could have gotten away with an 8.5, I think. I'm returning these for the main reason that the opening is too large so there is a sizable gap between my leg and the opening of the boot. Additionally, the top of the boot where it turns (instep, I think?) is high, which allows for easy access, but its way too roomy and makes the boot flop around on my feet when I walk. Way too much "play" in the boot when walking because of that. With these issues, the boot didn't look good with rolled up jeans like I wanted because they need to fit closer to the ankle. I do have smaller ankles, but I ordered a couple other pair to try as well, and both the other ones have a closer fit at the ankle and are also chelsea boots, so back these go and I'll pick one of the others. Love Zappos!

I love these boots and I tried to make them work. I slid them on and they are super comfortable. Unfortunately my heel slid up with every step and they’ve got to go back. So sad.

I would like to start by saying I own a slew of Chaco shoes, not just their sandals, making me confident in their fit & sizing. That said, the unexpected fit of the Fields boot is even more disappointing. I hadn’t even been looking for Chacos when searching this style of boot so when I found theirs, I was ecstatic. The color was beautiful, the styled stitching looks great, the stretch for pulling on the chelsea style boot was adequately giving & the sturdy lug sole would have been excellent for Wyoming winter ice. This is where it goes downhill. After all the excitement of finding these beauts, I sat on them disappointed before finally surrendering to a return. I still am in a bit of shock. Return a Chaco!? The front of the boot was quite narrow, more than just the toe box. Which is weird for a Chaco. Maybe if this were the only thing I would move past it as it’s a leather boot & will stretch out with wear. However, the heel was sloppy also. It made them easier to get on at first than many chelsea style boots but just walking up/down the stairs once to show my husband I was starting to feel a hotspot on the Achilles heel from where it slopped around. The squeak when walking was also super annoying. That may go away with wear but around the house on my wood floors it was every step— from both feet. My shoes were the equivalent of a dog following me with a squeaker toy! Overall a heartbreaking disappointment from both boot & company which I had so much confidence in. If you have a narrow foot I would say go for it, they are beautiful. If you have average feet… lower your expectations.

My daughter said the footbed was uncomfortable, and the shoes were too small. They do seem to be well made and people who like support would probably like the footbed.

I loved the style but the fit was so uncomfortable. The arch felt like it was too far forward. I hated to return them but I had to.

These boots are very attractive but unfortunately the fit was not comfortable. In an effort to get them to fit, I went a half size smaller. My toes were a bit cramped then and my heel slipped still. They had to go back.

Super adorable boots that I wanted to keep sooo badly. Sadly, they were a "strange fit" for me. I have read similar comments/ The toes fit fine. The heel is very wide and even though the length and size was perfect.. my heel slipped up an inch or more. Odd fit.

I liked the style of the boot. They had great arch support but I had way too much heel slippage. Had to return.

Ordered my usual size 9, too big, returned. Ordered an 8.5, still too big. My heel doesn’t stay in the boot. Not good for narrow feet. Sadly will return again.

The insole was so nice and padded with arch support. Unfortunately these rubbed on the back of my heels causing pain and made my knees hurt. I tried them with my own orthotic insoles to give them a second chance but these did not work for my feet. I have plantar fasciitis and metarsalgia and really wanted to like these.

So squeaky I had to send them back!

Very nice boot, but not enough cushion in the sole. Darn!
