I really like these shoes but they are definitely green they'd be the ultimate shoe if they were actually black as advertised. Solidly and unmistakably a forest green shoe.

I wear ALL VANS I've been saying they needed to come out with a work shoe forever. Well they did. However. They fell apart very fast.

I have purchased 2 pairs of these slip on work shoes. The first pair was the regular cloth material. They worked great in terms of not slipping, but less than a month after wearing them only to my job at McDonald's they got a hole in the toe. Vans gave me a full refund in store credit, which was great so I still wore the shoes to work for a full year with the holes in them. Not only did they form numerous holes, but the glue on the soles started splitting apart. I decided I was due for a new pair and wanted to try the leather 2.0 version. It took me months to be able to order them in my size because they were never in stock and Vans ended up giving me 30% off the shoes because of this. I just got the new pair of leather 2.0 slip on shoes this week. They're great, but they are NOT non slip. I was slipping and sliding everywhere the first few days I worked in them, but decided to try them for at least a week before returning. Yesterday, I slipped fell on my back at work in these shoes. I couldn't believe it. The first pair worked fine, but the 2.0 had me slipping everywhere to the point where I fell. I am returning the shoes now and am going to try the Old Skool version so I will update this review to see how they are, but I am very disappointed with this entire process

Too much heel slippage nice shoe but smaller size wouldn't work for me.

Have bought 3 pairs of these and all of them end up with a hole on the side of the plastic also they are not black. It's more like a very dark green.

The vans faded after wearing i don't know if it was from the shield product i purchased as well but my shoes now look like a really faded navu blue. But extremely comfortable!

They look great. Feel great. Wanted to upgrade to the slip on version. But the back of the shoe was too low and did not grip my heel so they kept slipping off. Guess I will hold one to my original for the makers lace up a bit longer.

i've bought two pairs of made for makers vans and have been slightly disappointed with both pairs. my first pair were high tops, and after only a couple shifts one shoe started to peel apart around the outside of the sole, and some stitching began to become undone, however the second shoe held up fine. i continued to wear these shoes for 3-4 months regularly working 12 hour shifts in a kitchen before the heel support gave out in each shoe and i decided to buy a second pair instead. while i never had a problem with the non slip ability of my first pair, when i bought my second set which were the black slip ons , i was sliding around the floor of the prep area nearly falling every time i tried to move faster than slow, even at a standing position i could feel my feet slowly shifting under me because there was absolutely no traction, having the bottom clean of any food made little difference.

I had no issues with size as some others have pointed out. What i loved was the sole. I wish Vans made more solid black soles with the reverse bottoms (by this i mean rather than inverse tread the diamond/hexagon shapes stick out). I have worn Vans slip-ons for years and years and those things are slippery af on some floors. As far as kitchen work shoes they still slip but not nearly as bad as og slip ons. They are also comfortable and water resistant. If you are a hard working kitchen person i would recommend spending the cash on solid clogs that are made for kitchen use. If you're a bartender or sever these might be more your style. My only major qualm with this shoe is that it is not black. Yes, they arrive black but after a couple weeks the color fades drastically and has this weird copper/brown-isn kind of sheen. Functionally the shoe is fine i just would not buy again as i prefer a solid black look that lasts. The faded sheen makes them look a little cheap. If i could get this sole on the OG slip-on body they would be my go to shoe forever. Unfortunately we dont live in a perfect world. Unless someone at vans wants to be super rad and hook that up for me but i doubt it. Lol.

I am really disappointed now. I received them and the fabric just looks green. Only looks kind of black in lure sunlight. I really want a refund or new pair. Very comfy tho

I knew they weren't going to fit when I tried to put my hand inside to check for tissue paper in the toe. I couldn't get my hand inside. I have a really high instep/arch and if I couldn't get my hand in, I certainly wasn't going to get my foot inside. I could only get my toes in. My feet are too wide (or the shoes are too narrow) and my instep too high to push any farther in.

Shoes are somewhat mostly slip resistant. Fit is huge I'm usually 7:5, I am tempted to buy a 6.5. Shoes look good and I stand comfortably 13/14 hours a day.

I bought these for use in a cabinet maker's shop. I usually wear a 9.5, but these (probably due to the beefed-up insole) were painful to wear. My big toes were very unhappy with the lack of room. Perhaps a 10 would work, but also with black being the only color option, these won't work in the sawdusty dirtiness of the shop or in the field for installations. I'll have to look elsewhere.

I bought these for work. They're cute, but unfortunately being that they are unisex, they were too wide and lose fitting on my feet. Sadly, I will have to return them. Wish they came out with a women's version for a better fit!

heavier duty version of the classic slip-on vans. size and width are true - the color is not. black/black has a distinct green tint to it. very dark off-black but definitely green. they look fine but if you want them to match your black pants they won't.

2 things about these shoes - first, they seemed very comfortable, but about 1/2 size too big. 2nd, there must have been a problem with the dye in the fabric. The shoes weren’t black - they look like they wanted to be, but had a dark forest green tint which wouldn’t be acceptable for work.

If you’re wearing these as a server, you’re probably only getting about four good months with these shoes (30hrs/wk). Very, very snug until broken in. Where the toes bend starts to detach from the sole edges very early on. The inside pills and peels so it always feels like you have something in your shoe. The non-slip is decent though.

Definitely not black. More of a charcoal color. Would have returned but needed something in a pinch.

First of all, the sizing is completely off, more like a 1/2 size off from the regular Vans, this is my second return of the same shoe of trying to get the shoe size right, I’m disappointed, I’m gonna press my luck for the third time & if it doesn’t work out, I’m giving up on you Vans in this particular work shoe but other than that, the quality is there and is cushioned very well.

fit feels little different than the normal vans. Assume because of the comfort insole. We had to size down. What I am NOT happy with is they still get dirty. I thought that was the purpose of this new style?

These are the classic slip on vans with a giant insole. The issue is its the same shoe so unless you have a small foot then these are going to be tight. Get the normal pair and buy a thicker insole.

Loved the feel and look of the shoe! I had already downsized a half a size after reading the reviews, and they were still a half size too big and the ankle was very wide and slipping.

I have always ordered a size 9 and this particular model is way larger and does not fit true to size. Buyers beware

Bought these slips for to and from work. 1 week in and the sole is already separating from the canvas. Not happy about this at all. Comfy otherwise.
