Overall decent purchase. I wish these boots felt slightly more supportive. I have wider feet and it sometimes feels snug on the toes. I bought them for working on my feet all day. They do the job but I don't love them as much as I had hoped.

I'm not recommending

Tried these in 8 and 8.5, unfortunately neither worked. I am usually an 8 in Sorel, but do sometimes have to size up in some styles. I was swimming in the 8.5, and the 8 were way too narrow and difficult to pull on. The quality seemed right in line with what I've come to expect in the Sorel brand. Super cute, but just didn't work for me.

The quality of materials and manufacturing with Sorel shoes is truly excellent. With that being said, the LINING of these boots is HORRIBLE. Regardless of what type of foot covering you wear, these boots are very difficult to put on and pull the sock, causing it to bunch; think of wearing long sleeves and putting on an unlined sweater or coat over and you have to reach in and tug your sleeves down--same thing but with your feet. This happens even with nylons! The only way to avoid that is to wear them BEARFOOT, which is ridiculous since they are meant for rainy or winter weather. It's so bad, I made a point of writing this review. I am a women's 12, so I don't have many options in boots, so I'm making due. Secondly, while they are comfortable, they take a substantial amount of breaking in. The length is perfect but they are very narrow in the toe-box. I was able to stretch them a little at home, but might need them to be professionally stretched, as they caused a lot of rubbing in my forefoot. They fit narrow with NO socks on, and are virtually unwearable with even thin socks or stockings. They have nice cushioning, though not much of an arch. They hold up to rainy conditions, but I wouldn't use them to go puddle-jumping or trudging through snow because they're still leather and they're not lined with anything to keep your feet warm. The look of them is very nice--business casual, which is why I purchased them for when I go to external meetings in the winter (so I don't have to change from snow boots to dress shoes and back). I would recommend them for most people, but if you have flipper-shaped or spatula-shaped feet like I do, these may not work for you.
