I absolutely loved these boots! Due to my high arch, I really struggled to get them on. Unfortunately, I had to return them.

I am revising my review to say that I had to send these back for an 8 1/2. As I wore my 9s around the house, the leather softened up, and the 9 was too big. I agree that they can be tricky to get on and off and that it would be better with a zipper. My original review: "I absolutely love these boots! I bought them in black. I regularly wear a 9 or 8.5, and I got size 9, and they feel great. It is true that they are a tad difficult to get in and out of, but I believe this will become easier as the leather softens. But, for me, they fit perfectly around my ankle (normal to thin) and calves once they are on. There's a seamlessness when you wear black tights and a skirt - they aren't baggy and align nicely with the leg and ankle for a sleek look. They also work well with skinny or regular straight cut pants-jeans-cords."

These look great but they definitely run small and narrow. I typically fit into a size 8 in Clarks and Sam Edelman shoes, and I have moderately wide feet (meaning, I can usually fit into normal width shoes, but wide shoes are more comfortable). These felt VERY narrow in an 8 and my toes hit the front of the shoe. Exchanged for half a size up, I hope they fit better. I really wish there were wide sizes for this shoe.

My only complaint about these boots is how stiff they are. Because of the stiffness the boot cuts into the ankle because it does not give when walking.

This boot fit great and was super comfortable. The only drawback was it looks a little too much like a snow boot for me, and I live in southern California, so... If you live in a climate where you get a lot of rain and snow, this boot is great!

Loved these boots, but after 2 months the loops on the back that are so important for putting on the boots ripped. Pretty disappointed!

These shoes are super comfortable. I really loved them but returned them because the pull tab on the back broke off completely on one shoe after wearing them only a few times. The opening is pretty tight, so the pull tab was helpful for pulling them off and on.

These boots were not as comfortable as I would prefer. Also, the white sole in this style make my size 10 feet look even larger.

These seemed comfortable once on, and the fit is true for my size 7 feet; however, every time I put my feet into the boot, it pulled my socks half off and twisted the socks into the front of the boot (not comfy). I tried with even my thinnest socks, but it was the same each time. Can't go for that! So I'm returning. Thanks anyway, Zappos.

these are VERY cute and i think they could have served me well over the winter in both business casual or casual everyday wear. unfortunately, they had to go back. the forefoot is very narrow. some reviewers mentioned going a half size up, but i think this won't work for me at all because as it is the heel was too loose in my regular size; i feel if i sized up there would be too much room overall and the forefoot would still be too tight. bummer!

Loved the look of the boot but the heel was way too narrow. I felt like my heels were slipping off the back sole. Will be returning them.

Great post, outside of the rubbing the outside of my ankles to the point of pain. Too bad...returned.

I loved the style but they felt very sloppy and oversized. I think by the end of the day my toes would’ve kept bumping the end of the bootie.

Fit and size was great, love the feel of the material but I wore them only once and the material is already scuffing up

These shoes are adorable. However, in consistent Sorel style... the sizing is inconsistent. I could probably go up a half size. So annoying. The left shoe was sooo narrow I could barely get it on. The right, which is my bigger foot, fit fine. I ordered another pair so hopefully I can get a match but it’s aggravating that Sorel can’t seem to get their sizing and fit consistent.

These were nice boots and stylish, but they didn't seem very warm. There isn't any type of insulation or fleece lining.
