Shoes are super cute but slightly light in the toe box.

I bought the Sorel Harlow Chelsea to replace my Sorel Joan of Arctic boots for everyday, on-the-go winter boots. *I have actual high, winter boots for snowy, inclement winter days. I will start by saying that I love the look of the Joan of Arctic - a fashionable, wedge style winter boot that I purchased last year. I replaced the interior footbed with sports inserts for that boot - the Joan of Arctic boot has an odd arch angle - flat at the heel and then a sharp angle towards toe making the arch feel unnatural (not rounded) under my foot. The sport inserts helped. Some socks slip off the heel when wearing but overall I loved them - the toe area is very roomy. But alas, this year I stared having trouble with big toe/bunion and I can no longer wear them everyday. Hence, I sought to find a boot with a similar look but no wedge (flatter in style) and one that could be worn in winter snow but also transition indoors without that 'winter boot' look -- and a boot that I could slip on/off in a hurry. The Harlow Chelsea def is more fashionable and looks great with skinny or straight leg jeans - and my work out leggings. The toe is the same as the Joan of Arctic - roomy, even with thick socks. I have a medium width foot and the sides are snug so this may not be a good boot for someone with a wider foot. Feels good on my foot and may even be a good option for someone with a narrow foot. Others commented that they were hard to get on and I agree. Hoping that the leather will stretch a bit because the whole idea of a slip on is the ease of getting them on and off. I do wish, however, that the boot height came higher on the leg like the Joan of Arctic. The shorter height leaves a gap between boot and workout leggings (I'm tall). Currently I have not added any type of interior arch. They appear to have a very slight arch for support but that is because the heel bed is slightly recessed. If I find I do need additional arch support I will use a metatarsal arch pad from Hapad - stick on, wool pads (I use in many shoes, boots and sandals - brown color doesn't show in an open sandal). Have not tested how waterproof they are as of yet. They seem fairly warm especially with smart wool type socks but they are not lined - again I got these for shlepping to and from car and not to be outside for long periods of time. Footbed is nice and cushy. They are true to my 'typical' size. Black looks nice- The Sorel Harlow Chelsea is a keeper but I will still be on a lookout for a fashionable, low height and warm boot that comes up a little higher.

I really like these boots. The fit a little snug when I first got them but stretched out within a day or two and fit nicely. I would recommend buying your usual size rather than a half size up (as other have suggested) given the stretch that occurs with only a couple of days of wear.

Super comfortable. Usually take a size 8 1/2. Had to order a 9. The 9 is just right with a pair of socks. Love these.

So far these Sorel Harlow Chelsea boots are pretty comfortable. I was able to pull out the footbed and add my own inserts which helped with some arch support. I need them for Italy in March where we are assuming we'll get some rain. I'm hoping I can walk the distance in them. I have extremely high arches and I had a broken ankle which through everything out of whack, so I really need the support.

I loved the boots. It felt like I was walking on a cloud with the waffle soles. However, I it was very difficult to get the boot on. The neck of the boot comes to the ankle with elastic on both sides. It was a struggle to get my feet in the boot. Then, when I walked around in them, I found them extremely tight around the ankle. I knew that I would not be able to wear them. I was sorry to have to return them.

A comfortable shoe that does fit, but runs a tad bit small. It is a struggle to take off sometimes.

I'm always on the lookout for shoes for house calls in our rainy climate - I want good foot coverage, good traction, easy on/off, and something cute. These looked like great prospects, but the 9 was quite a bit more roomy over the toe box and instep than I expected (and I have a somewhat high arch/instep). Viewed looking down from above, they were very plain and somewhat large-looking, and seemed like they might easily crease over the top of the foot once I'd walked around much. Just no wow factor whatsoever. In addition, their size and height just didn't work with any of my jeans when all the way down OR rolled up, and didn't look great with long black tights (which I practically live in in the winter). They were JUST small enough around the ankle that even my skinniest jeans didn't quite fit inside them. On the upside, for someone with smaller feet, or with feet that need more room in the toe box/instep, these might work great. They do feel like they'd be warm/cozy and have AMAZING traction on wet pavement/snow/probably even ice. The quarry color is a nice dark gray; the black may look even cuter if it helps high the elastic gore. Overall these seem well-made and very comfortable, it's just a matter of the exact fit on your foot and whether the style is for you and your wardrobe.

My daughter-in-law had a pair of these boots and I really liked them. The soles were perfect for good traction. I liked the leather and the looks/style of the boot. I ordered a pair for me. The length felt like the true size. I normally wear a medium width; but, these were too narrow. I had to send them back. Very disappointed as I really liked them.

I wear an 8 and 1/2, tried on a 9 in a local store, but it was too long. Purchased the 8 and 1/2. More narrow than most of my shoes. I’m hoping they stretch out some.

These are super soft and comfortable, although a challenge to get on and off my foot. I wore them around the house and was tempted to keep them, but then realized they really don't have a sole. They have squishy foam, and I don't know how well that will wear. They have zero arch support, and I could put an insole inside the boot, but it is so darn hard to squeeze my foot in, I know the insole would slide around and not be in the right position. If you want a soft boot, quality leather boot and don't need a hard sole, this could be for you.

I’d recommend to order a solid one full size up from normal, and maybe select a different shoe if you have a normal to wide foot.

I like these boots, they are very well made and stylish, but fit too tight in width. Finally decided to return, although really did like them, just uncomfortable, especially with a thick sock.

Fit like a glove for someone with wide toes, narrow heels and ankles. Looks great on black pants or tights/leggings. SO comfortable, feels like walking in a cloud. Opening wears down a little over time so gets easier to put on/off. Only downside is that the opening cuts into leg and causes a little chafing. Still my favorite boot.

I hesitated on getting these because reviews said they were narrow and difficult to get on and off. I am so glad I went ahead and purchased them! They are fantastic! I have a bunion and it makes buying shoes extremely difficult. The Harlow are like butter! I purchased the black and they are smooth and I honestly feel like I'm wearing slippers. They aren't narrow, they are true to size and the leather gives right where I need it to. I didn't even need to break them in. They are a little difficult to get on and off at first. That's the only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5. I've only had them a few days now. It is getting easier to get them on and off, but regardless they are worth the trouble! This is absolutely my favorite Sorel casual boot by far! My hope is that they don't lose their shape or form because they are so soft. If you have foot problems, bunions etc these are the boots for you! I was on my feet for 8 hours the first time I wore these, and my feet were so comfortable! Added bonus they will be perfect for my Michigan climate as well. I know I'll wear these year round.

I'm a huge Sorel fan. Slightly obsessed, actually. This is the first pair of boots that don't seem to be the same size as others. I'm always a 9.5. These are a bit big in the toe box, and I love how narrow Sorel usually is. All in all, these boots are nice. They're very pretty and wear well in the rain.

These are very comfortable booties. I thought they might be kind of clunky, but they’re nice and trim. They’re a little tricky to get on and off— no zipper, just stretchy gore sides, and you have to pull them over your heel.

I purchased these I think they are really cute. Went up a half size I wear an 81/2 bought a 9. I have a high instep and couldn’t get it on at all,so I don’t know about comfort or support. They are really cute though.

Love the look of the shoe. Was very narrow and hard to put on and take off. I ordered the next size up so I could add my orthotic. The first pair looked awesome, but the second pair larger size looked less leathery and cheap. I kept them because I wanted the waterproof material that they provided.

Other reviewers mentioned the narrow ankle entry. It was a fight to get these on (and pulled my socks too tight). Once on though, they were supportive and comfortable. I could see them stretching to be more comfortable. They were a little more casual that I wanted (the sole dresses them down in my opinion). Give them a try though!

I have only worn them a couple times, but so far, I like them. They are a bit of a struggle to get on and off, but not as bad as I imagined after reading some reviews about them. I think they are a pretty classic bootie - not super stylish, but not old fashioned either. I wear a 7.5 in a running shoe and a 6.5 in a sandal, so I got these in a 7 and they fit just how I'd like. I'm guessing they will be on the snug side with thicker socks, which I have yet to wear with them. Quality is great and what I expected from this brand.
