Sorel! What's going on? I eagerly purchased this new style from Sorel! I own 4 pairs of winter wedges and 2 summer wedges! LOVE the Joan of Arctic wedge and was excited to see a more polished version. I can't even get these on!! I am a very solid 7.5, have an average foot that leans narrow and very flexible feet! No luck! When you try to slide your foot in, the heel portion just collapses and you cant get it on. I tried thinner socks and was finally able to get the boot on with sheer hose on, but that was with much effort and wiggling. Once on my foot, the fit was true and wonderful and just right! Difficult to get off as well and the liner comes out! There is a zipper but it can't go low enough to provide any assistance secondary to the wedge height! I imagine a shoe horn would help, but I don't own one and refuse to own shoes you have break a sweat to get into! I had the same issue with the Sorel After hours bootie and I know many others did as well, thanks to reviews! If those fit you well, then these probably will too. You'd think Sorel would have fixed the problem with those and not released a new style with the same problems. Oh well! Bye gorgeous boots!

These boots are so cute, they MIGHT have me excited about a Minnesota winter! As others mentioned, they do run small, order a size up. If you’ve never bought Sorel boots, stop hesitating, and do it! My original pair of Joan of Arctic wedges have gotten me through 4 Minnesota winters, and still get compliments. Worth every dime!

Theses boots have that typical Sorel look however for me the velvet like lining is problematic. This lining grabs my socks which one would want to wear in colder weather. To be comfortable I had to go up from an 8-81/2 to a 91/2, yikes!

I am so disappointed. I love everything about the boot... except for how giant the ankle is. I wear a size 10 but have slim legs and these are huge around my ankle. The fit was otherwise fine. Definitely better for those with larger ankles.

WAIT!! Let me save these cute boots from the dustbin of bad reviews. YES THEY RUN SMALL. Zappos auto-recommended a half-size bigger than what I usually order in SORELs (and I, like a lot of you, own a bunch of pairs, and love them dearly). They were not a problem to slide into, the fit was great, they're gloriously comfortable like all my SORELs (except the one pair of sandals that brutalize my big toe, but that's another review), and straight-up adorable. I walk around this city a TON, and these were great right out of the box. Order at least a half-size up from your normal size, and you'll be fine. xoxox

I LOVE these boots! I got a size 81/2 because I like to wear a thicker sock so my feet stay warmer. As soon as I put them on, they were super comfy and easy to walk in all day. Initially, I thought the heel was a little wide, but as I wore them around, the heel felt fine. I also love the heel height and it does not feel three inches, but does give a nice boost to my height. I love the waterproof feature, as the sidewalks and parking lots can get really slushy, icy, and of course- the puddles; and the boots hold up great. I also love the cross strap buckle style as that gives a little more interest to the overall look. I am so glad I ordered these and I know I’ll get my wear out of them because they are made so well, and will hold up through anything except the deepest snow. I also think they’re cute!

These booties are so stinkin’ cute! I got the Elk color. The color is a little less red/brown and more brown/brown than shown in the picture. I agree with the other reviews that the insert does come out when you take them off and that they are a little harder to put on than other Sorel boots,but it doesn’t bother me. I just came back and ordered them in black!

I originally ordered half size up due to other reviews but returned those for my regular size (8.5) and the fit was great. Really CUTE boots, and very comfortable right out of the box. This was a splurge purchase for me, but I'm very glad I got them.

I typically wear a size 8M, however in my other four pair of Sorel's I wear a 7.5M. So I ordered the 7.5 and could barely wedge my foot in the boot. After sending them back I am now happily wearing the size 8. I completely agree with other reviews about the putting on/taking off issues - you almost need a shoe horn. The leather on these is unlike any of my two other pair of Joan of Arctic, it's stiffer, so the top of the bootie doesn't flex like my other two pair, it stands up. However I wore the booties for 9 straight hours the first day with no discomfort.

I found the shoe true to size (8), but I completely understand those who have trouble getting them on. The zipper can't go any lower due to the wedge, but I have no real issue getting them on. Having narrower feet is definitely a plus with these though. Only reason 4 stars is that there is a vertical seam that runs under the buckles, and it's quite stiff against my ankle when I walk. Wearing them around my apartment for a while is already softening it up so I'm sure it will improve.

I though this fit true to size but I don’t wear thick socks with them. I wear 5.5 in my other sorels so I stayed with the same sise for these. I could see how they could be tight if you did wear thick socks. They are definitely not a easy slip on and slip off shoe if that is what you are looking for. I do have to sit and pull them on but with very little effort. I found it to be very comfy. The leather is a bit stiffer than my other Sorels but I am sure after time and a few wears it will soften right up.

As my feet get older (but not my style!), I love the Sorel wedge designs. They look great, give me a couple inches of height (just can’t wear the 4” heels anymore), and stability without compromising on the aesthetics. This is my third pair of Sorels!

These run 1 full size too small. I am a solid 9 on every account, thanks to other reviews I purchased the size 10 which does fit. Unfortunately they are not as comfortable as one would hope at this price. No arch support and my feet do not feel great after wearing them for a day. Sad.

These are so cute! But the 10 felt like a 9, was very narrow, and dug into the top of my foot. Other than the size of this particular style I love the Joan of Arctic boots.

These Sorel booties run 1/2 size small. I usually wear a 7.5 but I ordered these in a size 8. (Most Sorel styles fit me in a size 7.5)They fit wonderfully. I like the slight boost in height with no sacrifice of balance. I now have them in 3 colors and I appreciate that they are waterproof and have good traction for wintery, icy days. Style is not sacrificed for function with these booties. I have a substantial Sorel shoe/boot collection. These are some of my favorites and the comfort is outstanding. I can wear these all day shopping, with absolutely no problem. Be ready for lots of compliments! I highly recommend these booties!

I ordered a half size up and it felt perfect. I have high maintenance feet but I can wear these all day and feel comfortable and stylish. So happy I purchased them! Great bottom grip too for walking on wet surfaces.

I purchased these because they looked so cute in the rustic brown. I am a true size 8 and needed an 8 1/2. I absolutely love these boots because they are waterproof and stylish. My feel never got tired after wearing all day long. The ankle is a bit stiff but I think that will soften with use. The style flattered my foot and pulled my outfit together. I was tempted to get the grey ones too - but didn't want to have multiple shoes in the same color - but VERY tempted because this is an awesome shoe.

I totally understand why people struggled with the sizing on this Joan of Arctic style. I’ve got both the original and the zip styles, and the leather on this buckle version is noticeably stiffer than the two other styles. The stiffness, combined with the depth of the zipper on this style do make it more challenging to get on and off than other similar styles. The foot bed does also grip to my socks when removing them like other reviewers have mentioned. I got my regular Sorel size and they’re the right size. However, they will take some breaking in to soften up - which is different from my other Joan of Arctic styles. If your feet are on the edge of your size, size up. If you want to wear thick socks, size up. All that said, I’m very happy with the style! In classic Sorel fashion these will keep me looking as cute during Buffalo’s seemingly never ending winter.

THE BEST SHOES! I wear these everyday in the winter, with jeans or leggings. They are super comfortable, work for all weather, and look great. Highly recommend.
