When I first put them on I thought well darn, they're a bit tight in the toe box. I have mild bunions on my big toe joints on both feet, so wide or accommodating shoe widths are necessary. The Sorel boots (I have 2 other pairs) that I own have always been accommodating at normal widths. This leather is a bit stiffer than the other Joan of Arctic lace-up wedges that I have, so I was concerned. But I was running out the door for an appointment and figured I'd bear with it and give them a shot. After wearing them for just a while the leather warmed up to my foot and there now is absolutely no problem with width. The only tough part is getting the boots on and off... the stiffness of the leather and the short ankle boot height makes it tricky to pull them on or off, like there's not enough room, so your sock gets stretched and pulled while you wrestle with the narrow opening. Also, I was hoping the "graphite" color would be a bit more gray, but it's more like the same washed-out brown color of my original Joan of Arctic lace-up wedges.

I really wanted these to work. They are cute but the sizing was off. I normally wear an 8 but the 8 was too small and 8.5 was too big. I ended up going with a different style Sorrel.

These Sorels are beyond comfortable. I always worry when ordering shoes online if they are true to size or run a little big/small. I went with my true size and wished I would have went a half a size up. My feet are also narrow, and these feel a little tight on my foot. I am hoping that with them being leather that they will strech.

Cut off the ankles is not how you want to feel wearing an ankle boot. These are a bit difficult to get on as others have described and would go up a half size if you like to wear a any socks at all- but the footbed is comfortable and love that the shoe is slightly narrow for security in the wedge. Super cute and stylish. However, the top of the boot is scraping into and cutting my ankles and rubbing when I walk, and I have welts along the top of my ankle where the boot was rubbing with each step. Awful.

A really cute boot but that’s where the positives end. I have other Sorel boots that I love they’re very comfortable. These are not. Very difficult to get on, the zipper is too short, almost just decorative, the leather is very stiff so no give to help slide your foot in. I could get them on with the use of a shoe horn but way too tight, and this was with very thin dress socks. So very disappointing. These are being returned.
