No complaints on Crocodile Gore-Tex Gaiter. Built to last and performs 100%. The updated buckle configuration also allows for the buckle to be replaced/repaired, with a quick sewing operation, in the event it gets broken. The older version wasn't designed with repairs in mind. Great gear, always! OR customer service is nothing short of exceptional.

Ive been using these for 15 years. Same great quality as when i started using them. Im 5'9" and size 10 boot and use mens medium. I have used womens medium before for a thinner calf as well so they fit tighter.

Used these on Mt. Whitney at the end of May, and couldn't be happier. Kept the snow out and you won't even notice they're there!

There may be lighter gaiters, but for ice climbing the crocodiles take a beating season after season. This is my fourth pair in almost 40 years of climbing.

OR gear is top quality and these Crocodile gaiters are no exception. And if for some reason you ever have an issue with a product, the warranty process is easy and timely. As long as OR keeps making top notch products with a top notch warranty, I am definitely a customer for life!

I have two pairs of these bought in 2018/2019. I initially bought a pair in large size and, finding them fine for heavy boots but too roomy for lowland boots, another pair in medium. I'm about 5'8" but with fairly long legs. I tend to wear the medium size except with my heaviest boots. Use is predominantly lowland hiking.
The good: they're really tough - one pair has just developed a minor tear which I've patched with duct tape, but that's after 5 years of use. I've had no issues with buckles, as has been mentioned by numerous other reviewers.
The not so good: the calf clinch can pop open - I have slim calves so there's lots of fabric gathered there, but it's not really a problem as you just clip it back. The flappy tab by the lace hook gets pulled open by vegetation and clogged by mud etc., and then the hook and loop fabric gets destroyed so it no longer sticks. I've cut this off my pairs with no detrimental effects to their effectiveness.

These are the best gators that I've used and the customer service is great. I broke a buckle on mine and they sent me a new pair. How can you beat that?

By far the best gaiters on the market. I'm a power lineman in Alaska and use them daily all winter.

These gaiters have been through it all after 4 seasons of tree planting and other forestry exploration work.
Quick and easy to apply, breathable n fast drying! I am 6'4 and the XL fits perfectly.
Two tears the first season but sewed up with no issues since, also had to tape the bottom heel strap as it is decaying.
No complaints at all, only flaws I would consider would be the top buckle strap loosening occasionally, the little bottom velcro flap strength and the
Quality of the bottom strap. not a big deal
Hoping to get another couple seasons out of them!
100% will buy again!
Thank you!:)

I live in Alaska, and I bought these for shoveling my drive way and wearing around town. They are fantastic. Quality and durability are obvious. I will not need another pair for the foreseeable future. I was unsure on size and bought a large. Probably could have gotten away with a medium, but they cinch down well around my calf, and I have the ability to wear extra layers underneath now. Having said that, I do have skinny legs.

Got these for K9 SAR training and they hold up! Anything to save my pants, socks, and shoes from snags while on uneven ground.

These are the best gaiters on the market, especially in the price range. I bought a pair of these in 2010, I wore them every Winter and in some Fall conditions, Snowshoeing, Hunting, Fishing, Hiking, etc. they protect very well and never got wet inside. The velcro came unstitched on both pieces after (12) years, OR's website touts their "Infinite Guarantee", so I thought I'd give it a try, just sent an email with photos, and OR replaced them with brand new ones, no cost, they even covered the shipping.

Great for when you need lower pant protection without having to put on an outer waterproof layer

I bought my first pair of OR gaiters over 30 years ago and subjected them to abuse on mountains, glaciers and jagged shale runs. They always protected my shins and feet. Only a mishap with my chainsaw lead me to replace them.

This the gold standard of all gaiters and recommend them to everyone. I've been wearing the crocs (both normal and expedition) for over a decade. Only improvement I can think of is that the bottom velcro strap always delaminates over time on every pair I've gotten. Other than that, I hope OR doesn't change a thing!

After going through a few gaiters from another brand, I finally bought what others had told me to try from the start and I'm glad I did! Fit great and they should hold up much longer than my previous ones did.

I have been using a pair of Crocodile GTX Gaiters since early 1990s and they are still functional, although the velcro closure is a bit distorted, they still close up well. They are great for stepping quickly in/out of water, mud or loon poop that might come up to the top of my GTX hiking boots, and to keep snow out of my boots when snowshoeing and to provide some warmth to my calves, but they do breathe allowing body moisture to escape. I saw some wear on the stitching for the bottom hypalon strap after a couple years of use so coated the sewn areas with some shoe goo so the stitching would not release, the shoe goo is still pliable and the stitching has never released or worn through despite much use on numerous hiking, backpacking and canoeing trips where I wear my hiking boots. They blue uppers are kinda dirty looking and since the velcro is kind of grungy. One of the top buckle closures sprung itself loose and despite searching unsuccesfully in fallen foliage this fall, I couldn't find it; OR is sending a replacement, thankfully. I will keep these old ones as spare in my vehicle storage in case I forget my new pair I just ordered/received or for a fellow trekker to borrow.
I decided to buy a new pair as the side buckle is elevated further away from the ground on the 2022 version, so I got them in red for visibility purposes. The size Men's Large fits my Men US size 10.5 or EU 44 2/3 Scarpa hiking boots well. My original Crocodile GTX Gaiters were size XL so sizing seems to have changed over the decades.
I expect these will outlive me, despite my best efforts to make most of my outdoor gear wear out before I do. If I notice the instep strap seam stitching is wearing I will coat them with shoe goo or equivalent as I did for my original pair.
The new bottom strap buckle is elevated.

Simple, effective, durable enough. I keep an eye out for a comparable product at the price, and while there are lots of similar options, I haven't found anything better.
