I use this pack for work when traveling. Unfortunately it is too small for a laptop, iPad Pro, numerous files and note pads, and all the associated power cords & headphones. If I was a local commenter going to an office it would be prefect

Good quality but kinda small for school and my laptop was damaged from a small drop(less than 2 feet) while in the laptop compartment

This backpack is solid. I like the different compartments and how solidly built it is. However, it's a bit narrow and heavy. I would like an additional bottle pocket on the other side and make it a bit wider to fit a couple more things.

Love the product but the front zipper catches all the time and is a little annoying. Suspect it'll break in a few months.

I like the materials and construction of this bag. It is tippy- wish the bottom flared out a bit so that it could stand up on its own.

This backpack provides a sleek modern look. It's slim and padded so it's easy to carry around and tuck away in places like the backseat of a car. Because of its slimmer design though, it isn't good for fitting clothes or other materials. I would use this strictly for books and school supplies. The material is very durable.

Solid bag with a giant laptop sleeve. I wish there was more internal pockets or storage options.

Solid bag for everyday work and travel. A lot more plain than your average Timbuk2 bag, but it's a cavernous laptop sleeve. I wish there were more internal storage spots.

Sleek design and well-built/durable. However I'm finding that The filling capacity isn't as good as similar sized bags from other companies. I don't even carry that many things- laptop, Logitech mx mini keyboard, mouse, cables and chargers.

Mainly used as a work backpack. Is durable and comfortable. Laptop pocket is plenty big and well padded. Middle pocket has ample room for most day to day items. I wish the front pocket zipped all the way down the sides where it could fully open up with more organization options.

This put simply, is the best backpack I've ever owned. The padding is amazing, the comfort is fantastic and I have not had issues at all with its quality not construction. But I have some ideas to make it better. I use gadget grids to organize my cords and chargers; and you really do need something to organize your stuff, this backpack has storage, but no built-in organizer! They all attach in place using hook-and-loop. If this backpack had a few hook-and-loop tabs inside to secure things like that, it would literally be perfect. Also, the front flap which opens all the way via zippers then has two elastic reinforcements that prevent you from folding the flap all the way over, why? That would be a perfect place to have a gadget grind or some other organizer, or at least attachments for one. I still love this backpack, and will be coming back to Timbuk2 for more! It's a quality product that I haven't seen in a long time.

A great backpack for my daily work related items; lots of room for more than one computer and adjacent hardware (mouse, cables, headphones, etc). I like all the small internal pockets for keeping things organized. Only drawback is the water bottle holder- it's a little narrow so getting my 24oz hydro flask out or jamming it in can be a bit difficult.

Love this backpack. I had a previous backpack in a very similar model. The only compliant I have is that the bag is a bit heavy even when empty, and has slightly less internal organization than the previous version. Still, it's a great quality, well designed, useful bag. Great for travel particularly.

Fits my 15" laptop fine, along with charging cord, mouse, and a couple of small notebooks. By that time, this pack is on the heavier side. But, aside from the weight, this backpack is sturdy. Wish the capacity was a bit more to be able to stuff a few more items in, especially for a work-related day trip. Also wish it had another water bottle pocket.

so I've had this bag for just about over 4 years now and it has lasted me all the way from my high school freshman year when I first purchased it to the beginning of my college freshman year, and I don't see me replacing it any time soon. to start it off, here are the pros I've noticed. great form factor with more than ample amount of storage for all the supplies you may need it for, whether that be for work, a weekend trip, and anything else in between. lots of little pockets for keeping things organized as well, making everything easily accessible. padding is plush and makes prolonged use comfortable when walking around. zippers are all water resistant which is a huge necessity in my book, plus the pull tabs are very nice and grippy. there are a lot of other great quality-of-life features that have made this my go-to bag for years, but that doesn't mean its perfect.first off the top handle often is not able to sustain load and leaves a huge crease going down the middle of it that makes it uncomfy to hold. another is that the compression straps on my model atleast are not fully metal, the prongs are plastic. the left prong has broken and now can lo longer buckle leaving my with a dangling strap at the bottom. a big irk I have is about the size of the water bottle holder. this thing will only hold about a 20oz water bottle making my daily bottle impossible to fit. also, that's the ONLY bottle holder on the entire pack. the other side is just blank where it could of had enough room for a second. and lastly, this bag tends to get stained pretty easily, so be careful where you set it. in conclusion, this is a great bag that has more pros than cons, and I am happy to call it mine. don't let this review deter you from this bag, just keep my long term experience in mind. :)

Overall, I like the bag, and it's made from excellent material but it only has one small pocket for phones, keys, airports. I wish it had more smaller pockets for different items.

Love the bag design and the pocket count- great bag. My only issue is it's too padded which takes away precious space and adds weight.

I've used several different backpacks in the past, but the Authority Deluxe tops them all in materials and quality construction. I'm very impressed and smart looks to go along with it. The only thing to be aware of is it is just big enough for a full size 15" laptop, I have to use a HP ZBook workstation, which is 1" thick. This is definitely the limit, snug, but fits. No room to put the laptop in a seperate sleeve, so get TSA Pre, so you can leave the laptop in the pack when going through security! Otherwise a descent amount of space & organization in the other compartments. The entire pack stays relatively thin/compact...this is probably not for someone that has to lug around a LOT of equipment plus a change of clothes.

Very spacious and love how the sections are divided. Protects my laptop well, I don't even use a sleeve anymore. The only thing is with the zipper for the laptop slot - it always "trips" or get stuck at the curves. I thought breaking it in would help but it's been a month of use and it still get stuck there. Otherwise pretty good backpack.

I've had the backpack for about a week. Just enough space, but the zipper for the laptop pocket does not slide effortlessly. Looks like the small flap of material inside gets stuck in the zipper. Not annoying enough to send back.

Overall it's good. The three main large compartments are nice. The look is good. Its comfortable. It keeps items well organized. Cons: One of the shoulder strap clasps refuses to hold the strap still, so I had to safety pin it to make the strap stay put. Several of the pockets are slightly too small so they won't fit what I'd like to store. Eg the top middle pocket is too small for a pair of sunglasses. The zippers on the front large pocket are hard to close.

For me this is a daily commuter bag and travel bag. I love the quality and overall design. It does hold quite a bit but because it is a bit taller than other bags, but reaching your stuff is sometimes hard (it is way down inside the bag). It is thin and perfect for laptop, ipad, two notebooks, and all your other tech gear. It protects and organizes all your stuff VERY well. Things I would change: Add side carry handle/strap. It looks like it could be done easily and carried this way. If it is possible, change the luggage strap (rotate 90 degrees) so bag is not so tall. It would also make it easier to slip over luggage and less prone to tipping. My suitcase keeps tipping over when the bag is attached. Raise the organizer pouches. The pen, glasses etc pouches are way down inside there and hard to see. The chest strap is very high around my neck evenafter lowering it to the last setting. Lastly, improve the fit of the bag to your back. It is very flat against your back and my straps, which seem a bit short, are actually further back than the back of the bag. This makes it look nice (almost like a briefcase), but not as comfortable as it could be.

Very sturdy. Very comfortable to wear but the bag strap is placed a little too high even after adjustment. Compartments are very well constructed.

Great bag for daily use. Sturdy and good internal organization . I would add that efficiency is required in terms of how much material one carries on daily basis. The depth of the read compartment is a bit narrow.
