This bag is phenomenal! it serves the purpose I got it for like a pro. I use this as my winter bag for commuting to work. Fits perfectly on top of my parka and doesn't slide away. Fits almost everything I need for my daily commute to work. Love the number of compartments it has, doesn't have too many but as many as needed. There is a separate compartment for the laptop and the back is well padded. It's a midsize bag not too large or small just good for daily commutes. Have used it a few times now for domestic air travel and the strap at the back makes it easy to attach it to the cabin trolley. It did withstand snow and rain for me the content inside never got destroyed and also protects the laptop well. This is a workhorse of bags and the build is very sturdy and might last for 10 years. Love it!

The backpack looks and feels great. Has worked great for hauling around a keyboard, tech kit, and laptop. No complaints so far!

Best backpack! Super comfortable

I use this bag for everything: travel, work, hiking, play. The waterproof bottom is something I didn't know I needed and is a must on all my future bags. I got this bag as a travel bag for a trip outside the country. Super easy to carry onto the plane, walk around with in town, supremely comfortable, and looks stylish.

I wanted a small backpack for my work commutes. It has plenty of room for my laptop, light rain top, other misc., and lunch. Very light & comfortable! Not my first Timbuk2 product.

I have the older version of this backpack. Every time I think "I won't be able to fit that in there," it still fits! I'm honestly impressed with how well this backpack has held up over 4 years now. There's no sign of wear, even after being filled to bursting several times. This backpack has made sure that I will keep purchasing from Timbuk2 for any other bags I might need.

I bought this bag knowing it'd be on the smaller side and might have issues with the bottom boot section, which was mentioned in other reviews. It's been about a year since I have bought my bag and I'm happy to report that I haven't had any issues despite them being major points in other reviews. Despite using this bag every day, it still looks and feels like new, except for a few minor scratches on the paint of the buckles on the bottom and zippers (to be expected, as I use it every day). I haven't noticed any flaking whatsoever on the boot. The only other part that seems to have worn down a bit is the bottom black section of the straps, which feel a bit rough. Overall, I feel like I got what I paid for - a high quality, long lasting bag.

I use this mainly for travel. Fits under seats easily. Enough pockets to stay organized.

Perfect size, well constructed, and the pockets are ideal for a couple laptops, or an iPad. Only complaint is the cup holder on the side is really only meant for small water bottle. Other than that perfect carry on pack!

I bought this backpack for work travel. The very padded laptop compartment will protect a larger Mac than mine - I have a 13", but it still keeps it from moving around in the compartment. There are actually 3 separate compartments, so you can use the middle for an iPad or whatever you like. I have my rather large case with my chargers in the bottom of the front compartment - there's plenty of room and it unzips all the way down both sides and there are interior organization pockets in this section, so you can easily see and reach things. There are also 2 pockets on the front of the bag, one perfect for a phone and ID at the airport and the other for keys(there's a key leash in there) and glasses or other stuff that you want to access easily. There are 2 clips with adjustable straps if you want to increase or decrease the bag's capacity and the bottom is waterproof so you don't have to worry if you need to set it on the ground. And, it does have a pass through to slide it on top of your suitcase. Lastly, it has excellent back padding, very adjustable padded straps that don't dlide off of my shoulders and it does have a water bottle pocket. I'm a 5' tall woman and it adjusts to fit me.

Good back pack - lots of soace

My wife and I just got back from visiting the Greek islands and Paris. I needed a backpack that met United Airlines incredibly small carryon bag requirement and this backpack exceeded my expectations! I am happy with the quality, functionality and style of this backpack. I may buy a larger version since there were a ton of people with huge backpacks (my wife included) and none of them were forced to check them!!!

Loving this bag so far. It's clearly well made and durable. I was looking for a nice, slick, and compact backpack for work and I'm happy I went this route. What I'm surprised about is actually how much extra space there is. You have a ton of compartments that offer the best utility. I also love the straps/clips at the bottom of the backpack. It makes it very convenient to bring a jacket without having to stuff it in the backpack itself. As many others have mentioned, the water holder on the side of the backpack is tight so you have the reassurance that nothing will easy slip out, but it more than likely will not fit bottles larger than 24 ounces. I would highly recommend this bag.

Excellent quality and lightweight. Perfect for work & commute

I bought it as a gift for my husband who needed a backpack for work and travel. The backpack is very good quality, you can tell by the stitching and fabric. The compartments are well designed for daily use and travel. It felt a bit smaller than we expected but it wasn't a problem for my husband. The strap on the back is great for traveling, as you can just put it on your luggage instead of carrying it on your back at the airport.

I love the Eco Black Deluxe backpack! It was a gift. There are perfect amount of pockets and the right size for all of them. The straps are also positioned well so they don't fall off. The pocket for my laptop could be a little looser, but I'm getting used to it. Overall, extremely happy with it. My husband wants one too!

Love this! I used a messenger bag for the past 10 years and this backpack lets me carry more things with more comfort. I wish I would have purchased it sooner.

Great backpack, compact for day-to-day when I'm just carrying a laptop and notebook, and with enough room to fit lots more when traveling. Lots of pockets for things like chargers + cables, pens, odds and ends. The bag itself is light. Looks professional but not too stuffy.
