I got these gloves in a size large after measuring my hand. That might be a good size if you wanted to use a thick liner but I had to size down to a medium. I wanted to love these gloves, they felt super warm when I initially started using them but now they really under perform. My hands have been freezing in temps from 15f to 30f and I was planning to use these gloves touring on days down to -15f. Needless to say I'm disappointed and won't go out in these without a backup pair of mittens for when my hands start freezing.
I'm really not one who gets cold hands, climbing in winter temps has never been a problem but these somehow seem to trap the cold in, possibly too breathable? I'm not sure how they could be rated as arcteryx warmest glove..

Ski patrol here. These gloves seriously lack dexterity because of the thick leather located in the palm and the fingers. The leather is also to slippery to properly hold tools in cold weather. Situation that did not happened with the older version of these gloves. I could tie knots with the old one. In no circumstances I can do the same thing with the new version. Also, the new version feels like putting my hand in a plastic bag with no insulation although the material list looks promising. The liner of the old version was softer and a bit fluffier. Pl ease! Please! bring back the original Fission SV gloves. I'll be the first in line. Picture of old and new below

I received these gloves in December. The wriste band broke after 2 uses. It is only glued together and not very strong. Customer service terrible. Had to send repeated photos of damage and over 6 weeks later still no replacement gloves. I had a pair of Hestra gloves that much longer. Terrible quality and poor customer service for such a high end product.

Decent warmth. Poor quality leather. Massively overpriced. Made in Vietnam with low quality control standards. Terrible Arc'teryx customer service.

Originally bought these gloves in a medium and they were way too large. I've got average size hands and I'm a medium in all other Arc'teryx gloves so I was surprised I had to size down to a small. Received the small gloves and realized on the slopes that they were still too large I have quarter inch gaps within all of my finger tips - which causes my fingers to get cold. Bummed the sizing is so far off on this product. The fact that my hands would fit an XS seems crazy.

Arcteryx brand has become a joke and the designers lack the ability to implement features that would make their products expensive AND USEFUL, instead they're just expensive. These gloves are some of the worst fit and design I've owned and I've owned many a glove.
First, according to their size chart I should be wearing a medium or large but instead I have a pair of XS, YES Extra small! And the fingers are still too long. Arcteryx has never had congruency in their garment sizing but this is on a comical level because these are unisex and I'm 6'0" tall so I feel for those who are much smaller and want a pair of gloves to fit.
The design itself lacks any standard innovation like an ergonomically curved palm so you don't get material bunching in the palm. As soon as you start to make a slight bend of the fingers all the bulk bunches up making grip useless.

These gloves are amazing, however the new unisex sizing is not appropriate. Gloves are massive returned them straight away, super disappointed.

Very disappointed with these gloves as all my other gear from this brand is 10/10. I was skiing for 3 days and the seams around the fingers had been ripped open. I was sure that this must have been an issue with the product itself as I had not being doing anything abnormal or using them in a way that there weren't designed for. When I went to read the warranty policy it pretty well listed every conceivable thing that could happen (rips, tears and abrasions) are not covered by warranty. I thought that a glove of such considerable value would be able to handle more than 3 days of downhill skiing without being wrecked. Very disappointed by the durability of this product which is unfortunate.

I have excellent experience with other Arc'teryx products such as ski jackets and pants. This encouraged me to buy from on line shop the Fission SV Gloves without doubting anything but unfortunately I ended up stuck with an extremely oversize pair of gloves despite the accurate measurements I took for my hands. We all know that these are very pricy gloves and I had to throw away such amount and forget about it. It is expected that Arc'teryx should be more concerned on how the sizes are designed and the measurement charts are made, such an error is not allowed from such a good company but at the end the customer will have to suffer. Note that my comment on the wrong sizing is not the first, it seems that many many people accross the world have suffered from Arc'teryx mistake.

This product experienced a shock cord anchor issue on its first use during alpine skiing in A-Basin, Colorado, USA. This is an issue that should not happen in the product's practical lifespan. This issue is a wear and tear issue on its first day of use, and that is the reason for a rating of 1 star.

I had these gloves purchased for me as a Christmas gift. Was very excited to replace my 20 year old gloves. I wore them starting in January, with the typical cold skiing days in Alberta. These gloves are no where near what was advertised, even with liners they were cold. I work outside and generally do not get that cold, but at -10 my hands were cold. These are very nice gloves but in my opinion are only good for spring skiing. Do not buy them and think your hands will be warm in the middle of the season. All my other ski clothing is Arcteryx and have been wearing them for many years. Disappointed in the gloves

These gloves are not warm at all. I live in Edmonton and I go to ski 3 times a week. This is the first time that I had to stop skiing and go inside the shed to warm up my fingers because they were so cold. It was only -5C, which is pretty good for winter in Edmonton. Therefore, these gloves are only for mild cold, probable above 0C. Don't even consider them without a liner and for colder temperatures. Do not believe what Arcteryx says about being "the warmest gloves", because there are not, and especially considering the high price attached to them.

Biked to work in a cold Canadian city. Bike also has "pogies" or bar mitts. Fingers were frozen! Had to stop at a downtown hotel and warm up my hands in the lob

Great looking glove, feels like quality material, leather is really nice. I was on a 20 minute walk with these gloves on in -10C and my hands were getting very cold. Pretty disappointing for the Arcteryx SV rating. I would highly recommend a glove liner when going out in anything -5C or colder. Or, go with mittens instead.
