Gloves have been good so far. Purchased for a backcountry splitboard and resort glove. The dexterity is amazing. Warmth is perfect for me but I tend to run warm. In -10 I did add a thin liner and it was perfect. The only issue and reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the sizing. I am typically a medium in every glove, even other Arc gloves and these fit huge. I opted for a small and they still have room for liner to fit.

Bought these for a pair for warm winter gloves as well as climbing/skiing gloves. They work great and have excellent movement, comfort, and warmth. They run a little big and you could potentially size down (I got XL and a L might have worked) however, it does allow you to layer under them a little bit to increase the warmth. Only complaint I have is the little leather tabs that hold the plastic clips to hold them together are flimsy and fell off one of my gloves. Didn't affect usage at all but it would be nice to make sure they stick together in my pack.

Ive used lots of gloves for snowboarding and working, These are by far the best gloves I have used. Warm and very comfy. They do fit a bit big so size down.

I bought these gloves for the ski season in a size XS as I have really small hands. Based on the size chart and previously Arc'teryx gloves I've had I decided to go for it. When they arrived my husband with size large hands could fit into these gloves. I have over an inch of space between my finger tip and the glove end. Try these on in store would be my recommendation! Otherwise, it's a beautiful pair of gloves but if you want dexterity in your fingers...

Lightweight and warm, have used them only 10 times but have become a big fan, sizing runs larger than my normal size glove

I love these gloves for skiing and touring about on the downs. Warm, sized well and wearing well after a lot of use and abuse. Even had these on Scottish mixed climbing and surprised how hardy they are.

I bought these in January and they do the job. The gauntlet style is perfect for keeping snow out and some nice extra protection and fingers stay nice and toasty!

Overall a great glove with some of the usual drawbacks of a glove.
First, the negative:
- I find that the insulation tends to pack out on the inside if using it a lot. I've put mine through two full seasons of ice and alpine climbing and I've found that the overall size of my XL gloves has probably increased about a half size. I'm considering replacing with a size L because of this. As far as design, I think this glove would stand to have less insulation in the palm side of the glove and more in the back of the glove to improve long term dexterity when climbing (it's hard to clip carabiners with sloppy gloves).
- As with any glove, they're colder than the same size mitten. If you're doing something that doesn't require the dexterity of wearing gloves in the cold, just wear mittens.
- I wish they had a back of the wrist strap, just would be nice and confidence inspiring when hanging more from your ice tools than your feet.
Second, the positives:
- These are plenty warm given a glove. I've climbed in 5F temps in these and have been just fine with liners. Anything warmer and you wouldn't be able to squeeze your finger and thumb together tight enough to unzip your fly.
- The leather palm is very durable given the thinness of it, I've used them in instances when I have to grab rock when alpine climbing and while some scuff marks have been left after climbing around 200 pitches on them, they haven't come close to blowing through in any spot.
- The gauntlet is a great length and I love the cinch on it. It works great to keep snow out and the keeper straps are really helpful if you're pulling your hands out of the gloves to tighten your boots or whatever.
- I used to think an alpine glove required knuckle protection to be a useful tool in the mountains, yeah not really anymore with how much clearance modern ice tools have, these are plenty.
Overall, well thought out glove, just wish it were more tuned to the needs of alpinists and less so generalists. Adding a wrist strap and moving some of the insulation around would make this a 5-star glove.

My hands get cold very easily so I wanted something heavy-duty. Many gloves that are warm are often stuffed with insulation which means terrible dexterity. The SV glove is very warm and offers great dexterity. I ended up with a pair of SV mittens since my hands get very cold and I often found myself pulling my fingers into the palm of the glove to stay warm. If your hands don't get very cold, or if you are active, these gloves are great.

This glove is a huge improvement on the lithic glove of years past (this was a gore-tex glove in the same shape, which has some issues with durability, fit, and warmth).
I run cold with my hands unless I am working hard; this glove does not offer to be warmest, but it does offer a lot in a light and durable package.
I wear a medium size in the glove, with a hand circumference of about 21 cm. The fit is great, with some room for a wool liner glove. The thumb, index, and middle finger fit well, but I feel that my pinky and ring finger have a little bit too much room.
The outer forties material is durable enough for use with backcountry gear and brushing aside branches in the woods. The goat leather shows no signs of wear after a season of heavy use. The insulation has not compacted or lost its loft, but a hand wash did help with its breathability.
In terms of its warmth, I find its a great glove to wear while touring. Its warmth is not overwhelming on the ascent, and it maintains its heat while skiing down. Resort skiing is a bit harder for me due to the bouts of inactivity on the chairlift.
While the octa insulation helps with the warmth, it does fuzz out a little with high exertion and sweat. It is a nice feeling fabric on the skin and I wish it completely encased the interior of the glove for more warmth.
The major complaint of this glove, and other Arcteryx gloves seems to be warmth.
I'd suggest minimizing the insulation of the glove's collar; most users likely are placing the glove's opening around/under a shell and an insulation layer. The insulation is redundant there in my opinion. Making less insulation here would also help with under sleeve placement under a shell.
I'd love to see more insulation placed in the exterior of the glove where the main hand is. This wouldn't compromise dexterity and would help with wind exposure. For fingers, could a complete enclosure of the octa insulation help?
These gloves are good, but they could be slightly warmer, making theme excellent

I really liked the style of these Gore-Tex gloves. I was looking for something to keep my skinny (& previously frost damaged) fingers warm while skiing. I have a pair of heated gloves, which are really great with the heat on, however they are fairly rigid and I wanted something which moved better with me. So I tried these gloves. They are advertised as unisex, and I usually take a women's size 7 glove. These gloves are warm with an almost down interior feel, they are still very bulky and large for my hand even in the extra small. Unfortunately, they were not what I was looking for. Had I had planned to use them for merely moving snow, they'd be perfect. They're pretty similar in loft to what my husband, who runs hot, wears but with gore-Tex and great leather & seams

I really like the design and felt like it was a quality product but the fit was not right for me. I have the Venta size small and fits like a glove. I initially tried small and it fit ok but the fingers were way too long. Tried the XS and the fit was tighter but the fingers were still too long. I wanted to like it but was unable to hold on.

I hesitated between 3 and 4 stars. Given price, I've settled on 3 stars.
These gloves are fairly warm - but like other Arcteryx products, there tends to be quirks at times. Here are a few of my observations (plus and minus):
1. Warm - no complaints on that front
2. Sizing - is weird - thumb is perfect, but other fingers are a bit too long (not a problem with other high end gloves so where did they get their measurements from?)
3. Lack of features - no removable liner for the price - which can be useful for b-country skiing in spring when you want to remove the liner (or just wash the liner without wrecking the leather when the gloves start reeking). Also, loose around the wrist without a strap to tighten things up
4. So-so dexterity - it isn't bad, but it isn't amazing either and could be improved.
5. Cuff length - is decent, but could be improved with just a bit more material
I'm mainly basing my comments on my preferred benchmark, the BD Guide gloves.

I used these gloves hiking in 10 to 20 weather for only 30 to 45 minutes. My fingers were ice cold, and very uncomfortable. I was hoping for better. When I bundled my fingers into my palm the gloves kept them comfortably warm

These gloves are just not warm enough in the finger tips. When you are riding, bootpacking or touring yea you will be warm as your body is exerting heat. Everytime it's a blizzard on the chairlift my fingers are frozen and takes some time to get my tips warm again. I would add I am riding in Whistler Blackcomb which is very warm temps, if I took these to the rockies I would die

2nd year of ownership. I am going to try a medium weight chemical glove from a local retailer to create a vapor barrier between my skin and the lining. Since I use these gloves a lot in my winter back country backpacking trips in need to keep them dryer. I also have poor circulation to a couple of fingers that takes a while to get the feeling back into, so I believe that the added heat without loss of moisture will help as well. I would suggest a nose wipe on the backside of the index finger on both gloves, although the gore tex backing works.

These are the first Arc'teryx product that I haven't loved. I purchased them discounted for final sale based on rave third party reviews about dexterity and warmth. I find them lacking in both categories. I chose the same size as my Venta AR gloves (large) and found my hands swimming in the extra half inch per finger that these have. The design is also not great for keeping these on the proper place on your wrists so the problem is exacerbated as they slide down. These are marginally warmer than the Venta AR, but are not as warm as most other gloves I have tried in this price range.
Purchased the mitt version for my wife and she seems to like, but not love, them. And she's an Arc'teryx fan girl, so

Very comfortable and well-designed, but I didn't find them warm enough for my needs. As others have noted, these are excellent gloves but if you are seeking gloves for temperatures below 0 degrees celsius, you may find them not warm enough as I did. I therefore will return the gloves for a refund.

Let me start with the fact that I am a serious fan of Arcteryx, almost all of my outdoor clothing is from you guys, I have 5 jackets of my own and my family has probably 10 pieces, I even own 10 of your T shirts so when I bought 2 pairs of these Fission gloves for my wife and I for skiing at Whistler, it was a no brainer and with everything I owned from Acteryx that was has been bullet proof there was no reason to question the claim that this is "their warmest glove".
First time we wore them it was only -5 and our fingers were frozen numb, for the price of these SV rated there is no way this should of been let into the market for sale. I'm guessing that this glove is good for spring skiing only and not below 0 Celsius...
I will continue to purchase your jackets and other clothing but sorry Arcteryx... back to Swany or Black Diamond gloves for us
