I ice climb, snowboard and ride motorcycles year round in England. Now these gloves are too warm for ice and boarding. But for riding in cold, wet weather they're second to none. Even if they get soaked they still keep my hands warm enough to ride the last hundred miles.

Fits as it's supposed to, warm and light. Could not be happier with this purchase. The leather quality and feel to the touch is as good as it gets. Can not comment on durability yet.

Work as a ski racing coach spend my weekends outside in the weather all day. These gloves held up extremely well. Even though we are drilling gates in and setting up B-Netting the outside covering held up great.

Use it as a shell over cycling gloves for temps range 20F thru 40F. Functionally speaking does a satisfactory job, best compared to any other experience I have had. I use a L Rapha winter glove under a XL fission sv for road rides all winter.

Wore this in the mountains climbing and I was afraid it would be hard to belay and work the ropes. I didn't and they saved my day.

Short of mittens, this glove is the warmest in the line up. It's great for the coldest of days. Note that your fingers can still get cold wearing them, as no glove is cold foolproof.

A great glove for the Scottish Winter! They kept my hands warm and (more importantly) dry throughout the winter with multiday hiking and backcountry skiing

I have used these gloves for less than one year, cycling & hiking/camping in a dry winter climate, as well as damp fall & spring. Ranging from 0degC to -30 (-38 with windchill)degC. My hands tend to be colder than friends in the same conditions. For me these gloves will take me down to -10 to -15degC if I am active, when stopped for long periods of time or between -15 to -30degC I use them for tasks requiring dexterity no more than 15-20 minutes then switch back to the Arcteryx Alpha SV Mitts (amazing, best mitts I have ever owned). They have been very durable building fires/cycling & show little signs of wear. I am typically a men's medium (20.5cm hand circ.) & these fit large on me, yet are still dextrous & allow me to fit a thin glove underneath for high dexterity tasks. They have been worth my investment.

Took these to Norway with me during winter to do some camping in Troms. My hands and feet always suffer the quickest so I decided to invest in these pricey gloves and see if they are worth the price. Fortunately for me they are well worth the price! My hands never got cold. The temps got crazy cold during the night and early morning hours. My eye lashes were cover in ice to give you an idea of how cold it got.
While you may lose some dexterity for the bulkiness it's still surprisingly dextrious so long as you get a good fit. I love the lanyard feature. This came in handy when I needed to take the gloves off. This keep me from losing them haha

After skiing 2 days in Vermont in early-March in other gloves in mid-winter conditions (0 at the start of the day, blowing 20-30 mph), I bought these gloves based on a review or "warmest gloves". I subsequently skied 5 days in similar conditions and these really never got cold. I bought the XL which seems to run 1 size small, fits like a large in most other brands. Overall construction is great, and the double layer of leather in the palm should hold up to my usage for a long time. Gore-tex insert made a huge difference in the wind, in my opinion, vs. the other premium brand I have used for a few seasons.

i bought this pair right before a skiing trip that ended up in a 7 hour straight rain downpour with temps right above freezing, even tho had some moments when my fingers were cold at the tips overall the glove are very warm! quality is seen right away and most impressive was the fact of 7 hours under constant water and my hands were bone dry throughout the day!! however the water did eventually get absorbed in the glove and made it heavier but didnt go through all the way and kept my hands dry ! not sure if it was meant to do that maybe someone here can tell me please, left it out to hang dry and now going back skiing ill see how the warmth in the glove is, hopefully it didnt impact it !!
thank you Arcteryx ! looking into the Venta AR for urban glove and maybe a liner for the FIssion SV for colder day mid winter next year

I've been searching for a glove that keeps my hands warm in below 20 temperatures and this is the first glove I've owned that does that no problem. I have notoriously cold hands while skiing, so I can't say enough good things about the Fission SV Glove. You're really investing in the right clothing when you buy this glove.

I have owned many Arc'teryx gloves over the years. For some reasons Arc'teryx seem to get many negative reviews compared to the rest of their clothing collection. I have to say that my overall experience has been more or less rather positive.
But let's get to the the Fission SV: in my opinion this glove offers a really good balance between dexterity and warmth. The inside material is very comfortable and I find it easier to slide my hands in and out compared to the previous non-SV version of the Fission glove.
I have used the Fission SV gloves on their own as well as with the Rho or the Rivet as liners in colder weather conditions. On average my hands tend to get cold easily but these gloves have managed to keep them warm in adverse conditions ranging from heavy rain or sleet with strong winds all the way to snow and supposed temperatures of -15 at night while active hiking or running - not standing around. Whether the Fission SV is sufficiently warm is obviously, at least to some extent, subjective. It is not the warmest glove out there and it is not supposed to be an expedition glove either but if you ware looking for versatile and durable waterproof gloves offering a good grip and great dexterity, the Fission SV might be exactly what you are looking for!

Love these. Was skiing and the wind-chill was 5F degrees and my hands were warm. Like the dexterity as well as the waterproofing. Big thumbs up for me!

One of the best skiing gloves I've ever had. I usually wear large or extra large size but went with the medium size. The glove provide great fit, freedom of finger movement and effortless finger bending. The palm has great grip comparable with a non insulated glove. I would say best in its category . It is a leather reinforced glove with the feeling and lightness of textile glove.
Have skied 3 days with them at Sierra at temperatures between 20F to 34F. Never sweat or being cold or feeling any discomfort .
Great product Arcteryx team , thanks for the good work.

Yet to test on ski hill but initial inspection is promising. First thing I noticed was the dexterity. Huge range of motion for fingers. Felt plenty warm on the few days ive tried them. They look great and include some wrist leashes as well. Was tired of buying new gloves every season so hoping these can hold up to multiple days of use in resort and backcountry.
