I live in Wisconsin where the weather is no joke. This jacket is amazing at keeping the cold out, even on those bitter cold winter days. I have several TNF winter jackets and this one is my favorite. It doesn't feel as heavy and bulky as some of my other jackets, but keeps me just as warm. I'm 5'6 and the jacket hits just above my knees - the perfect length if you ask me. If you're debating whether or not to make this purchase, do it! You won't regret it.

I love how light this jacket but yet it keeps me so warm. You never know what the weather is going to be like in MN.

Living in the Seattle area I have been using this product regularly and it has been very comfortable and warm.

This is amazing quality , perfectly soft and comfy parka. I highly recommend this coat. Super cozy... Zappos customer service is amazing and shipping is so fast!

There is nothing about this coat that I don't love!! The quality is great - zippers on all the pockets, and a neat inside pocket that is perfect for car keys you don't want to lose. It fits perfectly. I ordered a size M. I am 5'4" and weigh about 128 lbs. I could fit a light sweater or fleece underneath it, but so far there is no need because the coat is so comfortable and warm just as it is. I walk about 4 miles a day, and so far, I have worn it in warmer (40+ degree) weather, as well as colder (below 30 degree weather), and it has been comfortable in any conditions. Today I walked for an hour in a light misting rain. My coat was wet on the outside when I got back, but I was warm and dry. I love the hood. It fits over a beanie hat providing extra protection in the wind. I am completely satisfied with this coat, and am so happy that I decided to purchase it!!

This coat is exactly what I needed! I got the highly rated Marmot last year and replaced it with this NF and am so much happier. It is super light but without sacrificing warmth. It has a sturdy zipper unlike the Marmot. I have the dark green and the color is so pretty. There are no feathers coming out, the finish of the material is great, the cut is flattering - looks better than in the photos even. I cant figure out where all the hate is coming from?! I highly recommend it! (I am 5'9" and 138lbs and the M fits great.)

I purchased this coat about a month ago and have used it as my everyday coat ever since. I'm a very cold blooded person, and I live in Idaho where winter is cold and very windy, and usually at this time of year I pull out my most "hardcore" winter gear just to drive to work. For winter hiking, I wear such a comical amount of layers it's hard to move. Here's the deal with this coat though... it is so so much warmer than anything I've ever owned. I went from a Patagonia puffy coat to this and I feel like I'm just wearing a sleeping bag around (in the best way possible). I can't believe how warm it is. Today is 20F and snowing and I left my house in this coat, winter boots, and a light hat and it was honestly too warm. This purchase was absolutely worth it. Unlike what some reviewers have said, I haven't really lost any feathers yet (at least nothing compared to how many feathers my Patagonia lost) and I haven't had any issues with my hood. In fact, I've tried to be a little rough with the hood to see what will happen and it hasn't popped off yet.

I like the fit and size on me and the look! I don't like the feathers sticking out all over the place it seems like, and hope it won't be too bad for normal washing!

At first I was afraid it was too small because it hugged my body. After two hours I realized it hugged the spots as needed and moved with me, never against me. I'm happy i bought this in every way!

Love this jacket. So warm and cozy and definitely helps in the snow/wind.

I just received the northface metropolis iii coat. It is stylish and very light weight at 768 grams. It keeps me warm and toasty...i liked it a lot...highly recommended...

I hesitated before I actually made the purchase because of a review I read about the coat's length not not fitting as it appeared in the pic, but I stepped out on faith and the length is perfect, a great first time customer experience.

Searched long and wide for a nice coat that didn't overwhelm my petite frame but still had that puffy look! This coat did not dissapoint.

Great for extreme cold weather

This parka is warm and comfortable without being bulky or heavy. Hood envelopes the shoulders and head nicely. Stylish cut in the back. Looks good with jeans or dress and boots. Will definitely get a lot of use out of it.
