I wear shoes for walking about 3-5 miles daily. I have a wide foot, high arch, and high instep. My foot measures 5.5, but in sneakers I usually wear at size 6. Amazon recommends a size 5.5. Based on the reviews, I ordered a 6.5 wide and have to return them. The length was adequate for my foot at 6.5 - any shorter would not have worked, but that little tab of suede near where the little toe sits? It narrowed the toe box too much and added uncomfortable pressure. Overall, the shoe did not feel like a wide shoe. I love NB, and am hoping to find something that works for my wide foot. This is getting more difficult every year.

Love this shoe! My doctor will not let me wear anything but New Balance and these are my pretend boots for Winter! My back surgeon said those are great shoes for back problems! So there ya go!

I need to replace my old Asics Kahana trail running shoes. I've tried multiple different shoes and brands through Zappos, and it's been a frustrating search - the shoe manufacturers seem to be making shoes narrower, and with not much cushion/support. I tried the New Balance 669v2 in both size 8 Wide and 7.5 Wide. My usual shoe size is consistently 7.5 Medium, but because shoes seem to be made narrower than stated, I opted for the wide width. The wide fits like a medium width shoe. This shoe was not as stiff or clunky as the New Balance WW1350W1 Walking shoe. But the 669v2 was still stiffer than I would prefer to have - I walk on average 5 - 6 miles a day, and like good support, but some flex in the shoe. The size 8 Wide was too long, and size 7.5 Wide fit like a 7.5 Medium, but the sole was too stiff, and not much cushion in the sole. Perhaps this shoe would work for every day wear, errands, etc., but would not work for when I walk 5 - 6 miles daily, including hills.

Too short, even though I've been wearing the 669's for a few years now. This version is runs small. I'll have to return them. Also, they're very bulky.

These shoes were true to size. I have a bunion that was not comfortable in the otherwise perfect pair of sneakers. Loved the look and feel.

I wear custom orthotics that were made to fit the NB 669. I’ve tried other wide width brands, but they are too tight once I add my insoles and their is never enough sole under the arch. I can no longer find this style on the New Balance website, so when I found them on Zappos, I ordered two pairs! My last pair was several years old so I really needed new shoes.

These were short for me- my toes came to the very end of the shoe. A shame because they seemed great. Very light and not too clunky looking. I wear an 11, so no chance of going up a half size, but if you can, I'd recommend doing that.

Love them! Since I can't wear anything but New Balance I am thrilled to get these for Winter!

I decided that I would return them because the fabric lining bothered me--Also the tab on the back was stiff and stuck out. They would probably work well in snow country ! Pretty bulky!

The size 11 is too manish looking for my taste.

I wear orthotics and a brace. Other NB shoes in 9.5 W fit fine. This pair was too narrow in the toe. I need to try a men's size, I'm afraid.

I loved the looks for the shoe itself. It was very comfortable to wear walking around the house. the tongue however kept sliding off to the side despite a tab to hold it in place and was way too big for the shoe. The tab on the back is ridiculously big. I could just see myself snagging it on a branch…. sooooo I returned the shoes. I should love them for 80$

size 5 is too small and next size up comes only in W which is too wide. So..returning item.

Greats shoes for walking the dog--warmer for Autumn weather, cheaper than walking shoes, and waterproof. I usually wear a 9.5N, but the medium fit just fine, so I marked the review narrower than expected. Always happy with Zappos and New Balance. Wish there was more than one color.

I have been wearing these shoes to walk my dog almost every day since August 2020 (I don't wear them in pouring rain or in snow.) I wisely ordered one size larger as they run small. They are well worn and well loved. I would like to replace them with the exact same shoe, but this size is no longer available. In 2+ years, the inside heel at the back is worn and the sole is slightly worn. They have lasted well for my needs. I always use a custom insole as arch support is not enough for me in any shoe.

I like the all around feeling of support, the grippy outsole. I will use insole for more arch support. We’ll see how these hold up for my hill/trail hikes!
