So warm. I would need 2 under my ski suit cause I am super cold

These complete my ski outfit every year. My daughter keep stealing them and that's why I keep rebuying them. Keep me warm and so comfy you really don't think about them all day skiing. You are warm and movement is not hindered a bit.

I use this product mainly as a base layer for under my ski bibs - they're comfortable, dry quickly, maintain warmth, and I can move easily in them when skinning up a hill. They're my go-to pair and definitely want another pair!!

Keeps me warm for my runs

I wear them everyday, wash buses for a living so I'm damp, in and out year long. They are good, but if you snag them or they just decide to come apart in a spot, they run. I'had three and I get a bit over two years out of them, just enough to miss warranty. They all tended to self destruct in the crotch area first. Don't know why but you have to wear pants with the for obvious reasons. Other than that, they are great.

I absolutely love this base layer. Very comfortable, warm and wicking. Truly the perfect layer. The fabric is substantial and it seems quite well made. Fit is great.

I ordered merino wool base layer bottoms from all the major companies that carry this type of product and hands down Smartwool's were the best. I returned all the rest and bought two colors from Smartwool. The waistband area is all merino wool and carefully crafted for movement with how they sewed the cut and seams whereas other were just an elastic band on top of the leggings creating more sagging in the crouch and less comfort around the waist. I bought a small and extra small and ended up keeping the extra small because of how much the wool gives, so though it was tight at first, in the long run it is more form fitting. The smalls became too baggy. For reference I am 5'2"/114#/25' waist and typically wear smalls in pants, so this was a downsize for me. My build is also more athletic like, not stick figure and not pear shape, so downsizing worked for my body type. I definitely recommend Smartwool leggings over any others. Hope this helps!

Smartwool sent these as a replacement for a pair I bought last year. The old pair had a weirdly designed waistband that was driving me nuts. They honored their guarantee promptly. This new design is absolutely perfect! The waistband sits flat and at a perfect height for layering. I live in Seattle and wear a base layer from October through June: under jeans, slacks, hiking pants, snow pants, work pants...even under other tights. These are incredibly comfortable and warm in our damp climate. I liked them so much I bought a second pair.

Very warm and comfortable! I am 5'3 and 150lb and got a size medium. Fit better than i thought. As in not too tight or anything.

I bought these bottoms and the top specifically for a snowboarding trip to Jackson Hole, WY. They are so comfortable and warm. I love Smartwool products and typically use their base layers and socks for all of my backpacking and camping so I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed-I definitely wasn't. Keep up the good work!

I wore these over a pair of soft shell pants and I was toasty for winter hiking! They fit me perfectly and are super soft but warm. I'm sad I didn't buy another pair!

I have an older version of these tights which I wear to bed in the winter months. I love the update to these in the waist, which fits better. Also, the cut keeps its shape longer so they don't sag in the seat or thighs. These are great to wear under a short wool skirt with knee high boots. I've also layered them over a lighter weight pair of footed wool tights when I'm out shoveling snow. Super versatile!

I have read reviews before purchasing one and still not totally convinced but thought I'd give it a try. So glad I did! It sure didn't disappoint. Went to Mayo Clinic for an appointment in Rochester, MN and it gets cold there but I was toasty . My cup of tea!

Super warm and not itchy!

Brought these on a ski trip and they kept me warm yet breathable. They aren't restrictive and allow for movement. Slightly see-through but great base layer.

I bought this for my daughter. She loves the color and immediately said it was so warm. It fits great and we can't wait for next winter to really get to use this. I have a set of merino wool long John's and they really keep you warm.

The pants are warm, soft, and long enough for my long legs, but I do not like the way it fits around my waist in the back. It doesn't stay on well when I bend over and have to adjust when I stand back up.

Worn for indoor lounging as well as for my daily hike: This is my first pair of Smartwool thermals. I purchased these along with one orher pair plus tops to mix and match. After trying out for several days, I ordered a pair of All season bottoms for when the temps are not as cool.

My 4th pair of these. So comfortable, warm, durable, great colors. Great for skiing base layer or even under skirts.
