It's a great jacket. Kept me very warm during our first storm.

I have worn Columbia for years and I love this jacket. I am taller with longer arms so I need a long jacket so that it fits right. For the price point you are not going to find a better jacket. It's great it has a shell with pit zips and a hood, the shell is made out of waterproof material that is great for spending all day out in the snow. The best part of this jacket, it has a seperate removable poofy that you can wear seperate from the shell and it's really warm on it's own. Again for this price you are not going to find something of this quality with this may features.

Going to stay warm. Whirlibird Interchange system works well. Only been able to use the pieces separately so far in Minnesota. Used the inside piece this morning in about 40 degree weather and stayed nice and warm. I tried on the large and it ran too tight across my chest so I went with XL. The XL definitely feels like it goes up two sizes and gives you plenty of room.

I am very happy with my jacket. It was exactly what I was looking for and of course what I expected from Columbia. It has many pockets which comes to be very important during the winter when I usually carry many things (glasses, gloves, cellphone, wallet, etc). The materials are just great and it is true to size (I am 5.8 ft and 160 pounds).

My friend from my native country asked me for a great jacket.. I got this one :) He loves it... I got a kiss . My country is a little humid and this one is isolated.

As a New Englander, not only is this my most worn piece of clothing throughout the year, the fact that Columbia stands behind their products to the superior extent that they do makes them a company you want to give kudos to. Awesome jacket, right prices, unmatched support....6 Stars :-)

One if tge wsrmest parkas i have had. I call it the postman's jacket. It will probably go through rain, snow sleet, or hail.

Love Columbia period! This jacket is awesome, I love how its basically two jackets. You the outside part (The shell) which is really good for rain or snow then the inside (soft shell) which is super warm. At this price this jacket was a steal and I shall have it for a long time thanks again!

Great coat! Very warm and keeps you dry while skiing/snowboarding. Removing the inner jacket from the outer jacket is very easy to do and is very convenient. Great quality product. Would buy again

This coat is very warm! There is an obvious difference in quality from a big box store coat and a Columbia coat. I live in an area that can reach sub-zero temperatures for days to weeks, and this coat keeps me nice and warm!

Very comfortable and warm. Lots of pockets and good zippers were important to me and this jacket did not disappoint.

This is the first ski season I used this jacket. I've used it for about 7 days in the snow. I've used just the outer shell when it was on the warm side on the mountain and the pit zips are such an improvement over my old Bugaboo jacket. Another positive over my Bugaboo jacket is that I use the interior jacket with the polyester down filling more than the fleece interior jacket of the Bugaboo. I've also skied in just the interior jacket and it kept me warm on the slopes when the temps were in the mid 30s. When it was below freezing, using both jackets kept me adequately warm and the powder skirt was nice feature that didn't come with my 5 year old Bugaboo jacket. I highly recommend this just because it's so functional and just plain works. The pockets are more than sufficient too and having the pass pocket on the left sleeve is also another great feature. 10 out of 10.

This jacket is warm and comfortable. I like the Omni heat lining. Pockets are nice and big. Looking forward to wearing this coat.

I am a very picky shopper when it comes to clothing (just ask my wife)... and I rarely post reviews of anything. However, this jacket is the best purchase I've made in a very long time. I love everything about it! It fits my body type (broad shoulders and chest and short (5'6") with relatively short arms). The Whirlibird IV is not to tight in the shoulders and the sleeves don't engulf my hands. It is extremely well made as you'd expect from Columbia and is very warm, even in cold, strong winds. It's been a mild winter here so far with temps into the 20's and my early morning walks with the dogs have been very enjoyable with this jacket. On the not so cold mornings, the inner lining portion easily removes and is also lightweight yet warm. If I have to find fault with anything, I would like to see a better method of attachment of the inner lining at the end of the sleeves and at the neckline. I also wish it had a better toggle or grippy string for the main zipper: as it is, it is difficult to grip with gloves on. Overall, a great buy and a great Jacket!

I bought this coat for my boyfriend and loves it. It fit perfectly and kept him warm on the slopes. For the price there isn't a better coat.

I bought this for my husband to wear skiing and he absolutely loves it. Very warm, plenty of pockets for all his gear, and a nice bright color so our kids can spot him easily on the slopes! (Even if he does get mistaken for a member of ski patrol now and then- hahahaha!)

I purchased this coat for my husband because his old one was in need of replacing. When it finally arrived (took a little longer due to Christmas shipping chaos) and he tried it on he was pleased with how it fit, how light yet warm it is and the many pockets it has for him to carry things in. He wears it daily and appreciates its warmth in the cold northern Ohio winters.
