I originally bought these in my normal size, 9.5W, but they were way too big. I went down to the 9W and I still have room. I love the way they feel and the way they look. My orthotics fit in them perfectly. When I buy my next pair I will probably try the 8.5W since they seem to run a whole size bigger than my other sneakers do. I’m using them for HIIT workouts and they are perfect for that and give me a little bounce and plenty of cushion while supporting my high arches. Overall I love these shoes and I’m already thinking of ordering another pair!

Shoe has really good impact absorption. I ordered a width of B and found they run quite narrow so I am returning. They are not quite as flexible as a soft foam adidas ultraboost or newbalance foam. I prefer a shoe with a little more flexibility. I'd say it's a tad closer to a stability shoe in support/stiffness around ankle.

These run a bit narrow and definitely would work well for someone has a high arch.l

These are great looking and feeling shoes. However, the cut is too high on the ankle for me. I have sinus tarsi syndrome (causing swelling of the ankles) and this shoe puts press on the ankle.

I loved this shoe! Ever since the outbreak and quarantine, I’ve been walking as my main source of exercise. I bought Nike flyknits about a month ago on here and they’ve hurt from day one and my feet hurt all day afterward. I bought these in both 8.5 & 9 as reviews say to size down but I didn’t trust that for myself. Sure enough the 9’a are much more comfy and roomy and I’m not squished in. This shoe has tons of padding in the upper and super cushioning which the Nikes didn’t have at all. The ASICs Gel Kayanos 9’s also felt tight and not cushiony like they used to ( especially when comparing with these) I just did a 3 miler with hills, and though they need breaking in, they felt SO good immediately, unlike the Nike flyknits. My new walking go - to’s! Yay!!!

I am a devout fan of Asics. I have metatarsalgia and walking barefoot even in my home is painful. The amount of cushion underneath my toe bed is paramount to not having pain, and the "Gel" styles of Asics were awesome for years. Until recently. Either my foot has gotten THAT much worse that my old reliables now cause discomfort, or they've changed up the engineering and they use less of the "gel". Either way, I had to find something comfortable. Months of reading reviews, trying them on (back when we could go to a store and try on shoes) - I hadnt found any I liked *under $200*. I'm not a runner, but I walk a lot so I go through a pair about every 5-6 months. Which brings me to the Hoka One One's Clifton 6. I like these A LOT, but I'm not in love with them. They are really large - I'm an 8.5 in Asics Gel Nimbus or Cumulus, but I went with a 7.5 in H11 and still have a little room. They are bouncy, without being springy - if that makes sense. I had to readjust to walking in them, I almost have to watch that I dont fall back on them - with the rounded heel. My Asics were a broader bottom so i never felt like I was tipping over. They are NOISY on the concrete sidewalks - I cant explain that; they are quiet inside. It is a different feeling sneaker - I definitely feel like I have a shoe on, and maybe thats because Im not used to this brand. Will I get another pair of H11's after these? Not sure. Still considering the Novablast for my next pair.

I usually wear 8-8.5 in athletic shoes...I ordered the 8 and they definitely ere big so I exchanged (easy process) and the 7.5 fits perfectly. Got these in anticipation of being called to go back to bedside care for COVID patients and the thought of 12 hour shifts on hard surface was not a happy thought for me! I have been wearing them regularly and find them quite comfy and supportive! I normally NEVER spen this kind of $$ but I am inclined to think they are worth it!!

The arch support is located to narrowly. Too much pressure on my foot for walking. Have to return. I’m hoping the wide works better. Otherwise I love the shoe!

This is my first time keeping Hokas. I'm an 8.5 in New Balance, but had to size down to an 8 in these (am normally an 8 in most shoes, sometimes even a 7.5). The arch support is amazing, almost to the point of being too much. But having recently recovered from plantar fasciitis, I appreciate the generous support, and I won't need an innersole or orthodic with these. I have a somewhat wide foot but narrow heel, and these don't grip my heel as much as I'd like. I don't think it'll be problematic but if so, it will be an easy fix with those stick-on heel grips for the inside. Looking forward to putting a few miles on these. They're also kinda cute imo, and provide a little boost in height due to the thick sole.

I ordered the size 5.5 and 6. I ended up keeping the 5.5. I am typically a size 6 in most shoes.

My first time trying out hoka one one brand. I usually wear Brooks. I ordered my usual size 7s. These felt very roomy in the toe box and I will have to go down half a size and see how those fit. Aside from the size being big it is a comfy fit and the shoe in white with pink accents is very pretty.

I really like the way these shoes look, the teal and white make the shoes appear more feminine and they are cushy. However the arch support was not enough for me, I have flat feet and plantar fasciitis and need lots of arch support. I took out the provided insoles and put in my own. The shoestrings started coming unraveled after 3 weeks and I really hope they will send me some replacements for free. These shoes were expensive and I would like them to stay in tact for more than a month. I'm not sure who to contact but will check into it.

Ordered a pair of Hoka's to upgrade from Nikes for jogging / treadmill / walking. So far they feel super comfy but I DEFINITELY think they run large. I am a 6 in literally everything - Nike, Adidas, Asics, etc. - plus all other shoe brands not for athletics. The 6 was flopping off my heel. I had to downgrade to a 5.5.

I am cautiously optimistic about this shoe. I have flat, pronated, feet with bunions. It is very difficult for me to find shoes that fit and are comfortable. So far so good with these. The real test will be if they still feel good after a few more months...

I am pleased with the Clifton 6. I’ve been used to Brooks for many years and wanted a change. I like The extra cushioning, it feels great while I work on my mid-foot strike while running. I am a size 8 in athletic shoes, however when I tried them on they definitely felt too large. I got the 7.5 instead and it’s still very comfortable with plenty of room for my feet to swell during a workout.

I too felt these shoes were a 1/2 size too large. I love that Hoka widen the toe box ever so slightly around the ball of the foot area. It doesn't feel as tight as previous versions which my toes love. I'm also super impressed that Hoka listened to the feedback from the previous 2 version (Clifton 4 and 5) and brought back a more flexible, slightly lighter shoe. The previous versions were stiff and getting kind of weighty. This version feels lighter, softer on the feet and a lot more flexible with the same rocker motion. Thank you, Hoka! And thank you, Zappos!

The left shoe was great. Good fit. The right shoe was not assembled correctly. The hard ridge that runs around the shoe at the point where the upper shoe and sole meet ran under my arch, not around it. If I try Hoka again, it will be in a store, not mail order.

These shoes are great for pavement because of all the cushion they offer, but the tread was absolutely destroyed after 300 miles. I was hoping to get at lease 400 miles on them, but can no longer wear them due to the uneven bottom.

These sneakers weren't for me. For years I've used New Balance 1080s for running because of my bad knees. When I needed to replace them I decided to try out these shoes since they were highly recommended for their cushioning. First off, they seem to run about a half size bigger than NB, so I'd recommend sizing down. The sizing wasn't the issue however, I just didn't like the way these shoes felt or fit. They didn't feel particularly cushioned, and to me the large cushion made me feel like I was wearing platform shoes. In addition to the platform shoe like feel, there's a large curve in the front of the shoe that makes the whole shoe rock when you walk. Overall I didn't feel like I could get used to the feel of the shoe, which is very different from any sneaker I've ever worn. I will be returning these sneakers.

The shoe does not have the arch support I need. I have not purchased the Clifton before only the Bondi and Arahi. I thought this would give me stability but its really hard and uncomfortable.

True to other reviews, I agree the shoe runs 1/2 size larger than other brands. I am normally an 8 in regular shoes and 8 1/2 in running shoes. I ordered an 8 and they fit well and were roomy in the toe area (yay!). For me, the insole arch hit in the wrong place and was really, really uncomfortable. The insole at the arch seemed higher and less well integrated with the shoe than other running shoes. I did like the high cushion feel of these shoes, but arch discomfort is a deal breaker. Back to looking for a new running shoe

I am not a runner. I don't have PF, but I do have metatarsaglia and I need cush under my toes. I've worn Asics Gel nimbus and cumulus for years and loved them. After one unsuccessful fitting with the Asics Novablast (they run big) my bestie suggested Hoka 1 1 - she has Clifton 6 and loves them. She described the cushy sole and how it feels like a cloud, so I tried them. (She has PF and requires comfortable shoes too) I ordered the black with white soles, and they are cute - and I noticed the higher than normal base. Also appears not as wide a base as my Gel Asics. I immediately felt the cushioning as described, and how i could feel it all over when I walked. It was bouncy - no lie. But the sensation of the cushioning moving with my foot as I walked, I figured I 'd have to get used to it. I don't run, but I walk and I'm on my feet all day for work (when such a thing existed). I walk the dog for 30 minutes each day, and if mama's feet hurt, everyone's gonna know. I walk on the outside of my foot (supination) and had to catch myself twice while walking to not roll my ankle in the Hoka's. Fast forward two weeks, I'm wearing my HOKA's, walking into my kitchen, and I take a funny, slightly-off on the edge of my foot step, and I fall down - hard. I land on my hands, hard but no damage, though I felt like I had fallen wearing platform shoes - which I never wear because of how I walk. Maybe chalk to up to being generally clumsy, but it came from my feet in the Hoka's and I decided they had to go back. This was the second fall I took in them - both similar in nature. Just taking a "regular" step, but without the extra wide base on the sole, the shoes didnt correct me. I liked them, I didnt love them but they are cushy, but dangerous for me. Ive re-ordered the Asics Novablast in an * (instead of usual 8.5) and so far, they're great. ALSO - I ordered an entire size down in the HOKA ONE ONE Clifton 6 - I ordered a 7.5 and they fit.

The material is AMAZING so soft and comfortable. Also the sponginess of the sole is incredible without being sloppy, unstable or bottoming out.....That being said. Here is the HUGE negative: these shoes dig into my arches something horrible. I ended up removing the insoles and adding a cheap pair from Walmart and the shoes feel much better. My arches are low and these definitely cause irritation and pain with the insole that comes with them.
