I purchased these shoes for my first marathon. I own Bondi's, Clifton's, and Speedgoat 4's. I love the brand because it fits my foot perfectly. This shoe was no exception. All makes fit me perfectly in the same size. I have the shoes one test run. Today I ran my marathon. The shoes were a treat to my feet. Super light and cushioned in just the right places. This is not a trainer. Unless you are rich, save these for the races. Plus, they are sharp looking!

This is by far the best shoe I have ever run in. I am 59 years old, run 40-60 miles per week and race in 3-4 marathons a year. My PR at Chicago 2019 was 3:24. This shoe truly propels you forward with the design and carbon plate, yet also providing superb cushion for longer runs and racing. Compared to other shoes, this shoe is light and keeps your legs fresh while your body does not feel beat up on longer or faster runs. In these shoes, the relative effort compared to other shoes is around 30 seconds a mile faster, no joking. They are incredible and a joy to run in. I use the Carbon X for most all my marathon training and racing. As I mentioned earlier, I PR'ed in Chicago using these shoes, amazing how I could run just as fresh at the end of the race, these shoes make a big difference in pace, conserving energy and staying strong. HOKA well done, these are my go to training and racing shoe.

This will be the best pair of shoes you'll ever own. It's style and comfort are the best assets to this product. I haven't felt any type of back nor leg pain since wearing these shoes when running. I highly recommend this shoe and there is no other comfortable running shoe out there in the market other than these.

I have been running in Hoka's for a few years, Cliftons and Aharis. I am going to run the Boston Marathon in April 2020 this year and thought WHY NOT, let's try the CarbonX, even though they were a little more expensive than I originally would spend on a running shoe. Right away when I put the shoes on I knew they will give me a different experience while running, and I was not wrong. The curvature is pretty noticeable and does help propel forward.. I enjoy running in the shoes and find it difficult to alternate with other shoes because I just want to run with the CarbonX every time I am out running :-) ... If I was to mention one Con for the show, it looks like it will wear out quicker than the previous Hoka's I had used in the past. Something Hoka needs to work on....

After many YouTube's and reviews I finally decided to give it a try and I can say it is worth every $$$. This is my first Hoka One One purchase and I love it! I have been running for past +15 years and recently jumped into Ironman playground and I think Carbon X is going to be my race day shoes. Just ran my first 10 mile at 7:30/mile pace without any achy or back pain after the run... This shoe got the comfort and punch to move you forward... Kudos!

If I could trade in all my Hoka's that aren't WIDES and get all wides , I'd be one very happy man !. Having to order a shoe a 1/2 size larger to be comfortable is something I've come accustom to doing . Now that WIDES are available in some shoes , I have an option. Maybe one day all shoes will have that option ?.

I've been using them for my regular weekly routine of 20-25 miles. So far I've notice less lower leg and calf pain with this shoe. Also, they seem to give a lot more spring. I'd highly recommend.

My boyfriend has been eyeing these shoes out for a few weeks now so I bought a pair for him and boy was he excited to open them up! He immediately went on an 8-miler and had absolutely zero complaints. No breaking in or blisters. Nothing but love for these shoes. Very light. I'm sure he will be purchasing another in the near future.

I've been racing (triathlons) on Nike vaporfly 4%, another shoe with a full length carbon plate. And these have a similar feel, but actually better for a variety of road conditions. They aren't as light. But unlike the Nike's, these feel fast on multiple road conditions, including hills, gravel, wet pavement, even off road a bit. They are more stable side to side and have a better grip. The vaporfly will continue to be my race shoe for shorter distances. These are my choice for longer distance races or any kind of training.

First, I want to say. I've been a Runner not a sometime jogger for over 37 years. I'm 54, I have had knee reconstruction and 3 different back surgeries. It is because if the Carbon X sole design that I run ache-free now. I used to have to fight through the arthritic ache pains and stiffness to get loose before I could enjoy my runs. Then, after getting loose, I would overdo it. All I can say is that I'm an old Marine. It's in my DNA. So yeah I'm guilty of Never Quit, Never Surrenderitis even at my age. Now, I can warm up normally, Run intervals normally. Run long distances normally and then NOT wake up in the middle of the night or the next morning thinking that my body Hates me. Simply put, I love my Carbon-X Hoka One One's. I wish I could afford a 3rd pair in size but in a size 10 WIDE. Currently, I have two pairs right now that I rotate daily. My other running shies are now out-of-service indefinitely. First pair was 10.5. Second is 10. Why the difference? The Carbon X does not have width sizing...Yet, I hope! I really need a men's 10W Hoka!! The 10.5 is a tad long but a tad wider than the 10 I have, obviously. With the rotation I make I can make do until the good folks at Hoka One One send me a Men's 10.5 W to test for them during one of my 30-50 mile weeks I normally have, depending on work/travel schedule. Help an old Marine out Hoka! Love you guys! Keep Running! Semper Fi!

I like this shoe, it feels soft but also fast, I am doing mostly fast runs with these shoes since they will not last long ( i think ) but from more than 5 fast sessions and a few track session this shoe delivers.
