My husband loves them. He said it's like walking on air.

Love this product! Running /walking. Recommended by friend. And now I recommend as well. I still love my Nike Air as well but these are definitely my #1 alternative!!!! This is pair number #2.

I historically have worn Clifton's for road and Challenger ATR's for trail and obstacle races. I decided to try the Carbon X and was not disappointed with performance. They are a fast shoe and the carbon foot plate does help propulsion.
They have a relatively low sole profile versus other HOKA's. I found the toe box and instep area took maybe 15-20km to loosen up. After that they were awesome.
The sole started to wear out after probably 500km (I'm 72kg) but I had been wearing these off road a bit

This is the second pair of Hoka sneakers I've bought for my airman son. He doesn't rave over running shoes often so I was thrilled when he told me this morning that he took a quick two mile run to break his new ones in and that "they're amazing".

Feel great so far for my tempo and faster. I've logged just over 40 miles and enjoy the turnover. The size feels slightly more snug than other Hoka's but love the mesh top and snug feel for my faster runs. I would purchase again and look to wear for my next race.

Ran my first race and picked these up as my first pair of running shoes. They feel awesome, and really help me focus on landing position as I've had a problem with heel striking.

I am a true size 10 which is the size I first ordered. I found size 10 too tight when wearing socks. I ordered size 10.5 and it's perfect with socks.

This is my second pair of Carbon X shoes and I'm sure there will be a 3rd in my future. These shoes are fantastically comfortable. They break in quickly and maintain their cushion well into 300 miles of daily running. My only comment . . . unless you live in a dry and arid location do not buy the lighter colors. A few times of getting them wet or dirty and they look dingy. I went with the blue top/neon yellow soles and am much happier.
These are fantastic shoes for a neutral runner. Highly recommend them!

I am a fifty-year-old male, twenty marathons under my belt, 30-45 miles per week. I broke my foot this summer, took ten weeks to heal, and was told by my doctor to run only in shoes with carbon plates. So I bought a pair of Vaporflys on StockX and the CarbonX direct from Hoka. I like both shoes, but for distance and training and, so far, durability, I would definitely choose the CarbonX. I love the feel and the stability. The upper gives me the perfect amount of toe-box space. I plan to have a pair of these for a long, long time.

Not a big fan of super cushioned shoes. I wanted to try something new. At first I thought it was too soft, but over time I have grown to like it. The shoe has ultra cushion but maintains its responsiveness, while also being ultra light. That is no easy task. The shoe fits snug. It feels like the shoe is wrapping itself around your foot for a firm hold. I prefer a little room but again over time the shoe has won me over. This shoe has made it to the top of the rotation. Starting to really love this shoe.

I'm a 47 year old male that runs over 1300 miles per year, including at least one 50 mile trail race and 3-4 50K trail races. As part of this I run about 10 or so marathon+ distance efforts per year as part of training for the trail races. Apart from doing well in my age group, I'm a mid-pack runner and I run simply because I love it and not for t-shirts, Instagram or medals. Coming from a high school and college track background and marathoning ever since, I've had my share of injuries and tried many shoes (including every Hoka road shoe and most of their trail shoes). While I'm not a road-racer any longer, I do grit my teeth and run roads as part of mileage base training and speed work. I had thought that the Hoka Carbon X was ONLY for real road runners and triathletes you know, those fast runners dedicated to pavement. Based on the reviews it seemed that people opined that you need to be fast to enjoy this shoe, and then only for certain distance efforts. Nevertheless, one day when replacing my Rincon's for another "speed shoe" I decided to drop the cash on the Carbon X. On the first run I was surprised how quickly I clicked with this shoe. On the second run, the same but I liked it even more. Several runs later I decided to clear my road shoe closet and use only this shoe for roads. Now, well over 100 miles into running in this shoe, it feels like it did on day one and it's a no-brainer what shoe I'm wearing on the roads for any distance, for any workout, and at any speed. It feels just as natural when running intervals or tempo as it does when I'm slowly shuffling home after a hard and/or long effort. All in all, this shoe has made my life as a runner happier and simpler.
Note that I wear 11.5 in all Hokas, except the Carbon X. I had to size down to size 11.

So I have a horrible low back with herniated and bulging discs. But I used to run 20 miles a week. And I miss it. Not sure if I'll get that mileage back soon but I know if I do it's because of these shoes. Amazing!
