I've used this all winter in NYC and it's great! The windproofing and waterproofing are fantastic and make it perfect for inclement weather. It's super easy to combine and separate the pieces, and they're both lightweight enough to fold up and put in a backpack if you're out and about. I have two minor complaints: there's no ventilation, so if you're out hiking or moving a lot, you'll end up having to pull the layers on and off because it's not breathable. But that's what you get with a shell that keeps everything out \_()_/ Secondly, I'm a slender 5'8 guy, and the men's smalls at The North Face have always been too big on me, it would be nice to have a smaller option. But functionally this coat is great and super versatile, I'm a fan!

I'd definitely recommend this jacket, it is so comfortable and cozy!

Used this to Ski in Tahoe this year and on a backpacking trip in Yosemite in December. Kept me super warm and dry, and could be used casually in a city as well. The thermoball on the inside is also very nice to remove if you need just insulation, same for the outer shell if you need solely waterproof capabilities.

Bought this for the winter and it's really going good

This is a great all around coat, it's light weight but keeps me very warm in cold temps.

I have snowboarded with this jacket 5 times this year. From slushy to very cold conditions this jacket has kept we warm and dry.

Used it for bike commuting in cold winter and it was very warm without being bulky.

I bought this coat for my teen son to wear in our cold South Dakota winters. It is very warm and has the option of two coats and one which allows him to wear it in spring and fall as well.

I like that you can separate the jackets to suit your needs. With both zipped together you can not even feel the freezing temps.

I wear it to many places including church and find it fit each occasion.

I walk an hour and 20 minutes to work everyday while I work on my project car and I needed something to keep me warm during the winter days. I am MORE than satisfied with this jacket combo and would recommend to anyone. It works better than it should!

The jacket is great for temps in the 40's. Have yet to wear it below that. Love that you're able to layer it for colder weather.
