I have lived in the Addiction Walker for years. It is my exercise mainstay. However, the new material on the sole makes it super impossible to keep clean. It has very fine groove that attract fine road and sidewalk debris. It is impossible to keep clean. Even using a knife to scrape out the fine particles becomes laborious and should be unnecessary. The old soles were not like this. I wish the company would realize the mistake of this new material. It is awful.

Husband has worn these shoes for several years after a stroke that left him a hemiplegic. These were the perfect shoes, fitting his leg splint for the affected leg with just removing the liner. The new style, since fall of 2020, is not of the same quality. The leather on the outside seems thinner and much more susceptible to being damaged through normal wear and tear. The previous design was more durable and have held up to his wearing them exclusively, black in the fall and winter, white in the spring and summer. He has tried other models and other brands, but Brooks Addiction has served his needs well. We are disappointed in the changes.

Nice shoe, tires your feet out after 9hours working delivery. Great support though, definitely not slip resistant, these shoes are so slippery on wet, damp, and moist surfaces im very disappointed with that

The Brooks Addiction has been my favorite walking shoe for several years. These new Addiction 2 were beautiful shoes, which I am sure I would have loved if they had not ever so slightly shrunk the toe box. Sad to have to return. I hate it when that happens.

have worn the shoe for several hours and it is comfortable and provide appropriate support, however I believe the Brooks Brurisier is more suitable for walkers who have hammer or claw shaped toes as the top in a softer material.

These shows have made a huge difference in my life. I had injured my foot a few years ago and periodically the injury would reoccur. My podiatrist suggested putting in an arch support and when that didn't fully solve the problem, he told me to make it higher. I did, and then my hips started to hurt...bad solution. I had an old pair of Brooks Addiction I had gotten many years ago and decided to try them. Felt great...only problems were that they were pretty worn and hard to keep the tongue centered as I walked. Purchased a new pair with the velcro straps...very convenient and comfortable but wish there was some way to make the tongue thicker. I have very thin feet so hard to get the top of the shoe snug against my foot. That being said, so glad I found that old pair and now have a new one...I'm able to walk again!

This is my second pair of Brooks shoes. I take a daily walk of 2 - 5 miles, which counts as exercise for an old guy approaching 70. So, adequate shoes are a must. My other pair are Ghost 13s, which are very comfortable and my satisfaction with them is the reason I purchased these Addiction V-straps. The Addicions are a little less comfy, but they provide better support. I really appreciate the convenience of the velco straps vs tying laces every morning.

The shoe has excellent arch support and the toe box (4E) is just what I need. The Velcro closures work fine but do not seen very robust and the upper strap is a bit too long. The shoe is great for my exercise walk but does not lend itself to wearing all day. It is heavy and bulky. I would like to be able to also buy a lighter weight version with the same arch support, 4E toe box and Velcro closure to wear through the day. (For the record I am 86. I learned about your shoe from the Marathoners in the family.)

So far, so good. Purchased these on the recommendation of my Physical Therapist. He suggested they would offer a solid foundation for support and adequate toe space to accommodate my diabetic neuropathy affected feet. Consider i paid 50% more than my last pair of walking shoes, my expectations are very high Check back with me in 3 months to see if those expectations are met!

Overall these shoes are a bit better than what I have been wearing and though I am returning one pair, I will keep the other four pair. We'll have to see how the wear goes after a while. As far as sizing, EVERYTHING seems just shy of being big enough on my right foot. I expect that by the time I am able to get something that actually REALLY DOES fit the right foot, my left foot will be flopping around. And they never offer the actually WIDE shoes in the single shoe for sale listings it seems. Zappos still does a great job, though.
I'd also recommend:
I would actually NOT recommend any brand till they begin selling all sizes singly.

Returned the shoe as the velcro does not allow for fit as well as laces. Ordering style with laces as I already have 2 pair and they fit better. In the extra wide, the heel cup is a little too large.

I've been wearing and buying this particular brand and model shoe for at least 7 years. They fit me comfortably and do not fall apart. However, they don't breathe. They can get very warm while walking on hot pavement or sidewalk in the summer.

Comfortable shoe, good fit. There is very little arch support which is a disapointment. Still a great shoe.

Velcro straps are too long. Had the shoes 3 weeks, starting to loosen a bit, the strap overhang is annoying, people can see them, and they think I'm wearing cheap shoes! Velcro shoes are not associated with quality. I do like these shoes, for the support and leather, I work with water all day and need a waterproof shoe. All of your other shoes let water pass right through the top. Cant work with wet feet all day!
