Unlike the previous reviews which state the redesigned shoe is different from the older version, I don?t find that to be true. The shoe fits exactly like the older version. I have no complaints.

These shoes are extremely comfortable for my 3.5 mile per day walk. The all white sort of bugged me though. So I bought neon pink/orange replacement laces that have brightened them up. Perfect.

I don't understand why they have to take a good thing and ruin it. I have worn Brooks Addiction Walkers for at least the last 7 years and they were the best walking show out there. Not so much with the Addiction 2. I have bone spurs in the tops of my feet as well as bunions. I need good supportive shoes and that is what made the previous version a cut above. I have always worn a 9 wide. In these the 9 wide is too wide and too long. I then ordered the 9 B and they are better but... they are looser in the heel causing my no show socks to be "eaten" more an more with each step I take. Finally, with the new comfort footbed they are like the original memory foam matress and not only make my feet hot but tired. Enough of Brooks Addiction for me until they come out with a version with a good stable footbed much like the previous version.

GREAT SHOE! I recommend this shoe if you are a walker!

I bought these online for my Mother and she LOVES them. She even asked me to buy them again in white. She wears orthotics and said these work well for them while also being extremely comfortable and giving her great stability. My online research paid off!

I thought the addiction 1 was great but the Addiction 2 is equal or maybe even a bit easier on my feet. I love those walkers. In my estimation nothing beats them. I have tried others but none help my stability like the addictions. Price wise you get more for your money with Brooks Walkers. This is from a person with nerve deterioration of auditory nerves and the middle ear is severely affected.

TERRIBLE. I've worn Brooks Addiction Walker for YEARS. I can't even tell you how many pair I have purchased in total. WAS my 12 hr shift, RN work shoe. However, this new design is the CHEAPEST LOOKING and most POORLY FITTING shoe I have purchased in years. A true and complete DEPARTURE from the prior Addiction design, comfort, and quality. If you are accustomed to the supportive, firm feel of the prior design, RUN (don't walk) AWAY! The new Addiction Walker design is squishy, non-supportive, and overly-padded. Does not fit the same, does not feel the same. Snug on left foot. Heels slip out, toes pushed to front of toe box. When compared side-by-side to my old pair, you can seethe lack of quality from design and thickness of the sole, to the leather stitching, to the new shorter overly padded tongue: there is absolutely no comparison. No structure. Not at all like the prior edition. I have LOST FAITH in Brooks and do NOT anticipate purchasing another pair of shoes from Brooks anytime soon. A shame, since I was once able to rely on Brooks for quality and comfort. After purchasing my initial pair locally, I mail ordered because I could depend on receiving a quality shoe, always fitting the same. Always well made. Well, that is no longer true, and this is no longer my go-to shoe. In short, THIS SHOE IS JUNK. Suggestion: with such a drastic redesign, Brooks should have just discontinued/retired the Addition Walker and called this shoe by any other name. Absolutely no comparison and a true insult to any loyal fan of the prior design. I would give this product Zero Stars if possible.

My feet have hurt for years have tried all kinds of shoes and insoles. I went to a new foot doctor and she recommended Brooks do I ordered and took 3 days to get. I still have problems with arthritis in my toes but so much better then before. I will buy more.

Great shoes for hard floors. Helps my feet not feel like broken glass at the end of the day. I like the leather because it’s water resistant.

I have arthritis in my feet and these shoes are very comfortable and give plenty of support. My only issue is that they are heavy compared to my Adrenaline GTS 20. I needed black so I bought these.

These are the best shoes I've ever owned! I have flat feet, my ankles rotate when I step down (don't remember what it's called) and am overweight so have a lot of feet problems. I'm also always on my feet for work. These shoes are a god send for foot pain. Now if only I could get inserts to do the same things so i could wear more of a variety and cuter shoes

These are my favorite shoes. They are stable for my knees and yet propel my feet forward in a walking motion. They fit very comfortably for my wide feet, and do not rub on my heel.

Good Bye New Balance. Hello Brooks. I'm a long time NB wearer that's spent 4 months looking for the perfect walking shoe to replace my worn out NB 845s. I tried on 2 dozen pairs of NB walking shoe candidates and it turns out the perfect replacement wasn't another NB pair. It was these Brooks Addiction Walker 2!! Their comfort, structure and support surpassed any of the NBs I tried on. I've been wearing them for my 5 mile morning walks for about a month now without any issues. Very pleased with these shoes.

It's so awesome to be able to try them out in your actual exercise environment to make sure they'll perform for you because sometimes an issue with a shoe isn't discovered until you wear them "for real". It's one thing to try them on and walk around the store or in your living room and find they fit. It another to put them to the test in a high intensity walk or a run to confirm they don't rub, hurt, or cause any kind of pain when subjected to your actual work out conditions. Kuddos Brooks! I'm now a Brooks convert!

I think I will like them after I have had a chance to wear them for a while. I have had other Brooks shoes and have liked them. That is why I decided to try the walkers.

Finally! Sneakers that fit my wide feet! I'm almost 75, so no longer run, but they are very supportive and comfortable for my long walks.

These are "2" version of my beloved Addiction Walker shoes. They do not seem to GIVE as much in the upper part of the shoe, especially across my arch, after a month of wearing them. They still fit pretty tight which I'm not sure I like so much. They are harder to get off and on than Version 1 shoes. I like the extra loops for lacing up on the tongue to help keep it in place. The cushioned base feels the same so the last is made well as always.

I ordered this in my true size and a full size up. True size fit the length of my feet, but the toe box was too narrow, despite being EE/WW width. Full size up fit the width, but my heel slipped in the heel cup, which seemed too short.
I'd also recommend:

I’ve been wearing Brooks addiction walking shoes for many years. They do run small. I usually wear an 8 1/2 shoe. But, I have to order these in a 9 1/2. The first pair I bought was at a running specialty store. They fitted me, so I now know what size to order.

Once again a home run on support, looks, and longevity. I will just be reordering these shoes when they wear our. Why change what works!

I really liked this shoe. It provides great support for my feet but isn't too heavy. It's more attractive than my previous Brooks walking shoes,

These are not nearly as comfortable as my Adrenaline 18. Brooks Running, PLEASE, PLEASE, make Adrenaline in size 5.5 AA. I only ordered this pair of Addiction Walker because they were the only ones available in my size.

I thought these would be comfortable to work in because I do a lot of walking but they are not very comfortable the inside are hard and don't have that soft insole like the other brooks.

I have worn Brooks Addiction Walkers for decades; it has been an automatic reorder for me. This time around I had no choice but to order the Addiction Walker 2, and I am sad to say that I must find another shoe. It simply does not have the support that the previous AW gave my feet. The resulting twinges in my feet after an hour of exercise have sent me back to my (very worn out) old pair. I hope that I can connect with another brand soon.
I give these Addiction 2 shoes a 3-rating because they are probably better than many other shoes, but unsatisfactory for me compared to the original Addiction Walker.
