Comfortable. I have had total knee replacement and the shoe was perfect.

Fit great but wish you had some more stylish shoes for narrow width

Fit and size are great but they're not very stylish, I have narrow feet and they don't have any "stylish & cool" shoes for narrow feet

The overall size and fit is excellent! I gave a 5 star most of all because I was able to finally find a NARROW fitting shoe. For so.e reason this world feels there are no Narrow feet out here. Thank goodness the shoe does not flop off and on my feet. When I walk in it it gives me great pride and comfort. Not having to try and put something in the shoe to try and keep it on. NARROW feet people do exist. BRAVO BROOKS SHOES AND ZAPPOS!!!!????????

My first pair of these were great and just right for me. These second one are NOT the same!!! They are larger, roomier and bulkier on my foot- I would have returned but I had already worn outside.

I have worn and loved the Addiction Walker for many years...size 9.5 Narrow. I ordered the Addiction Walker 2 in the same size a few months ago and I am very disappointed in this shoe. My foot slides forward and compresses my toes. I've tried wearing a thicker sock but that has not corrected the fit. Can you just bring back the former shoe??!!

I already submitted a review, but here goes again. I have been ordering Brooks Walkers for years because they are the best for accommodating orthotics. I don't love the clunky look of the shores, but they provide sufficient suppot.

I’ve had multiple foot and ankle surgeries and have worn Brooks shoes for the past 15 years. My right foot is size 6.5 B and my left foot is size 6 nearly B. I wear my shoes with Thorlo padded socks, custom full orthotics, and ideally a foam insole so I need to size up. In 2013 I bought the original Addiction Walker size 7D, in black leather. Because of the pandemic I decided to shop online. I ordered several different sizes and styles of Brooks shoes (Ghost 13 and Addiction 14) in addition to the Addiction Walker 2 in both the leather and suede uppers. As other reviewers noted, the Addiction Walker 2 fits smaller and narrower than the original. Also, the shoe laces on the new version are not long enough to thread through all the holes, which I need for stability. (Yes, I can buy longer laces but it’s frustrating when I’m spending $130+ for a pair of shoes with laces that are too short!) Plus I noticed a few differences between the leather and suede Addiction Walker 2 versions. The leather upper was stiff and uncomfortable, while the suede upper felt softer, narrower, and not as deep as the leather upper. I was also concerned about how the suede would wear (is it really suede or a suede fabric?) and how it could be cleaned. I clean my original Addiction Walker with mild soap and water on a cloth. From my perspective the changes to the Addiction Walker 2 are not improvements. I believe that this is a perfect example for the old saying: “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”! But I really needed new shoes, so I selected the white leather in 7.5 D which fortunately was back in stock. I agree that people need to size up at least a half a size and they may also want to consider a wider width when ordering.

I buy this particular brand at least twice a year in white & black, same style & material. They accommodate my orthotics & provide the support I require for glad feet. They are great for all these requirements.

I am a long time fan of Brooks Addiction Walkers. The Addiction 2s are great shoes. The pair I received, (and have already returned) however, was defective in a major way and from the moment I opened the box, I could tell they had already been returned at least once. I tried them on and walked a few feet over a carpeted floor. The squeak was so loud there was no way I could wear them. The Addiction Walkers 2 run very small but that's easily fixed by buying a whole size larger than usual, as I did when I bought those I have just returned.

I loved the old Addiction Walker, and I went everywhere in them--I had both strap and tie. I was excited to try the Addiction Walker 2, but it hurt the back of my ankle so much. No matter how thick the socks were that I wore with them, I was in pain. Big blisters. I even tried them, waited for the blisters to heal, and tried them again. No luck. Gosh, I thought high heels were bad... There's no way I can even walk a block in these, and now the old ones aren't even on the website anymore. Ebay, here I come.

So disappointed! I have worn Brooks Addiction Walkers (Black), in Women's Size 11 for more years than I can even remember! Over 25 years?? Always Loved them, straight out of the box! UNTIL..... They have changed the style/size - something!- and these Addiction 2's are awful! I am SOO disappointed! They now seem a whole size too small, and ordering the larger size just gave me a shoe that still slipped up and down on my heel and felt wrong in the toe box. PLEASE GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL WAY - and don't ruin a good thing! I would love recommendation for overpronation, which is what brought me to these shoes in the first place. 25+ years is a long time, to now NOT know what shoes will work, or to buy! Bad call, Brooks~!

I have been using Brooks addiction walker more than two decades. When I ordered this time - I noticed it is called Addiction walker-2. Brooks actually screwed it up. They proved the proverb "If something is not broken do not try to fix it". As soon as put it on I realized this is not going to work. Returning. My next try will be Spira and New balance.

Very supportive and well-balanced shoe; just what I need. The size and width seem to me to be consistent with earlier versions of this shoe that I have had. The removable insoles are very resilient and offer pretty good arch support, but I need to wear orthotics. Fortunately there was plenty of room in this shoe to replace the stock insoles with the orthotics.

There is a saying "Don't fix it if it is not broken". Brooks Addiction walker is a perfect example. The original Addiction walker was one of the best shoes. I have been using that for more than 15 years. When I wanted to order a new pair and saw all the negative reviews I was apprehensive. But wanted to try anyway. Within 5 minutes I realized that this is not going to work. Returning it. Will research all brands to find something suitable. The person who authorized this change did a big disservice to the company as well as to the consumers.

They claim to be padded and supportive, they were neither. Uncomfortable. Ugly big chunky plastic soles.

After all the sneakers I've ordered and returned, ( Thank you Zappos), I keep coming back to Brooks Addiction Walker.
There is no break in period. Comfortable from the beginning.
Room enough for my own orthotic.
Less back and knee pain.
I will have to buy more, before they change them.

The shoe was ample in front, but still a little narrow in the heel, as Brooks tend to be. I need the 9.5W. The right shoe has a rough seam on the inside of the heel, which made the problem worse. I have worn the Brooks Addiction Walker for years, and I now need to find my size in the new model. I also thought the new shoe was not as well made as my old ones, though it does look a little better.

I was used to the old Addiction walkers and had to go up a size for these new ones. I used to wear the 9W, but with the 9.5, wide was too big. So I am cautiously testing the 9.5 M at. home on the treadmill, to see if they will be ok. The length is fine, it is the width that worries me a bit.
These look to be as well made as the previous iterations. Perhaps the removable insole is thinner.

Been wearing these shoes many yrs..was really disappointed this last time. Whatever they did to this shoe they need to undo. Heel feels up to high, toe box more narrow, everything feels off with their "improvement"
