It's not as heavy of a jacket as I thought I was getting but it will do, and will go with everything! Love Columbia in general!

I purchased this online and was surprised how thin and lightweight it was. I have only worn it once on a cold December night and it kept me very warm. It is a very comfortable jacket.
I would size up especially if you want to wear layers underneath.

Never had a down puffer coat before but needed one
Immediately for a plane trips to very cold, snowy
areas.
So lightweight. I hope it keeps me warm enough but
I can always fit a heavy sweater underneath. Other
down puffers I tried had feathers pricking through.
Dont think that can happen due to good construction.
Hope it is water repellent as well. Cant believe it can be washed. Love how thin it folds to fit into a backpack or
luggage without ruining it. Very nice long, lightweight
coat. Good value.

The jacket is a great fit and is very light weight + comfortable.
It looks trendy and protects you from the cold as well. Love it!

i love the material and design of this jacket. There aren't really any seams so the down doesn't come out like it does in other jackets. Also since there aren't really seams it traps the heat pretty well. I live in MN and haven't really tried it yet in the below zero weather yet but I feel like it would do fine with a baselayer underneath.
My only complaint is I wish the waist had a cinch/ drawstring thing. It is overall flattering but its still a bit boxy on me.

I ordered this jacket to replace my favorite Columbia winter jacket when the zipper finally gave out. I love the color and the fitted look, and the attached hood is much less cumbersome than the detachable one I had previously. It is super lightweight and great for 30-40 degree weather!
I am a little more concerned about wearing it in colder weather. The material is much thinner than my previous jacket, and since it is very fitted so I can't fit many layers under it. It hasn't been cold enough for me to test this yet, but I'm not sure how it will do. If you are in a very cold climate, I would maybe choose a different jacket or go up a size to layer under!

I usually like to wear things in a small, but after wearing a friends similar jacket it was too tight when over a sweatshirt so I ordered a size up to be able to layer. It looks cute on, and the quality is nice, it was a little thinner than I expected but still a good jacket. I'm 5'6" and the length hits about lower mid-thigh

I didn't really test this coat out in the cold PA elements since it ended up being too small. I normally wear a small in coats, but this one was super tight, so I returned it. It was very thin, but seemed pretty warm when I tried it on. I'm sure if it would've fit, it would have been a nice coat. I ended up getting the MightyLite jacket with Omni-heat from Columbia which I absolutely love!

Awesome jacket, definitely runs small and nocturnal blue color is a gorgeous color. I gave this purchase a rating of three because the zipper is poor. I am returning it . This is my favorite mid length jacket, I have one in black. So nice to wear out and about. Light weight, warm, and comfortable for driving.

The coat is a VERY light weight. Almost like a rain jacket with a very small padding for warmth. I'm 5 foot 2 inches & weight is 150. I purchased a size medium and it zips up just right. Very snug, so I can't gain any weight or it won't fit. Jacket falls above the knees.

Nice, light jacket that goes with virtually anything, and good warmth for the weight. However, as I always experience with Columbia products, sub-standard zipper that gets stuck and is difficult to operate. I expected this so was not too surprised when this jacket showed up with zipper problems from the very first wearing, but this is offset by the relatively low price, I suppose.

The jacket is nice looking and the longer length I was looking for. I have a 3-4 year old Columbia down jacket that I was wanting to replace. The new one is not as heavy of down, therefore not as warm and fit strange. Through the abdomen area it felt too tight yet larger through the upper body. It was returned.

The description stated that the sizes were true and not to buy big so I didn't. This jacket was so small I couldn't even zip it up. I wear a medium size in everything that I buy and this medium was more an extra small.

For a size L I thought it would be roomier bc I want to wear it over layers of clothing but it's still a beautiful jacket. Love the light weight and length! If you're an in between size like me
I would size up. For reference I wear a Medium in Columbia fleece jackets and a size 6/8 pant. I am large chested so I wish this had a little more room.

I got this jacket in hopes that it'd keep me warm while I'm dog walking, but I was very upset to see that it doesn't work well in below 20 degree weather. I was hoping with it keeping body heat inside that I'd be warm on cold days, but that doesn't seem to work too well. I do layer up whenever I'm out in the cold, but I could still feel some cold coming into the jacket. I layered my barn jacket, which isn't as long as this jacket, over this jacket and it seems to help. The hood isn't that great at keeping the cold and wind out since you can't fit it to your head. I do like that it's long enough to keep my upper legs warm, so that's a plus. I guess I'll just have to wear it whenever the temperature is above 20 degrees. For reference, I'm 5'1" and weight 140 pounds. A large fit me perfectly even when I have to add layers underneath.

So thin. Not warm! It looks like a solid winter coat but it is more of a long fall jacket. Not practical in the north in the winter.

I have another columbia jacket in the same size, and it fits with a little extra room. I ordered the same size in this jacket, and it's too tight. so yeah. don't have too much to say other than it runs really small.

This coat is very cute and flattering, but unfortunately not warm enough. The wind blows right through. I would say it's sufficient for a low of 20-30 with no/light wind, but definitely nothing colder or windier than that.

I purchased this coat last month. It has a super thin feel. I'm seriously wondering if the feather count is accurate. Also, they run small so size up. I'm 5'4" 130 LBS. I purchased the medium, tall. It was a lil snug in the hip area but the length in body and arms were just right and I'm by no means classified as tall or plump.
I've been in weather conditions with temps as low as 26* F, cold rain, heavy wind and I stayed fairly warm WITH a layer. However, and again, the fit was a bit snug without the layer so I felt like the lil child whose mom dresses them in 1000 layers and can barely move.
I gave it to my daughter. She's the same height, weighs 125LBS and it fits perfectly on her. Won't be sending it back for that reason but I'm back on the hunt for a coat.
