What happened to the Leather Addiction walker? It just isnt right that Brooks would have such a great shoe that they just stop making. What a shame. Looking elsewhere for something so I can function..aggh.

Very noisy shoe. Too small in toe area (cause blisters on big toes). This was a size 13 4E. Used for 9-10 mile walks daily.

To me it's just not a comfortable shoe. I have tried wearing them several times and still just not comfortable. For what they cost I feel like there are much better options out there. I tripped and fell the first time I wore then and it put a bad scratch on one of the shoes so I can't return them.

Squeaks under the laces. Loud creaking/squeaking with every step! I will be returning them,

These shoes feel a little tight. These are actually quite unattractive as they are made of a cheap looking rubber. I was not expecting them to look like "rubber sneakers".

I have bought these shoes every year repeatedly and they were the only shoes I would ever wear due to my wide feet for the first time I'm returning a pair because they were pinching my feet badly and it was the same size that I purchased before.

The original version was the best shoe I ever wore, I bought them for years and years. Comfortable, thick enough for winter, sturdy, fantastic for flat feet. The new version is awful. Too thin for winter, uncomfortable, inflame plantar fascitis. More like sneakers than a walking shoe. They look cool, but it's style with the substance completely gone. Wish I'd known the originals were being phased out, would have bought several pairs--which I'll do if they bring back the original.

Bought the newly designed shoes, had to send them back. Toe box was too small. Bought the mesh shoes and they stretched a little too much and cannot wear them for very long. I am not sure why, after 10 years of wearing these shoes and always having them comfortable, supportive, and stable, Brooks felt they had to modernize and update something that was working well for their customer base. If "it ain't broken, don't fix it". Brooks made a big mistake in changing this shoe. It is a walking shoe and did not need a design change. I hope you go back and rethink this and bring back the old style. Lost a long time customer on this change.

The Addiction 2 walker is a total disaster. I wore the Addiction 1 for many, many years and was totally satisfied with both the fit and finish. It was so comfortable right out of the box and fit perfectly. The Addiction 2 will not fit my foot comfortably no matter what I do. My usual size of 11.5B was too tight, my toes were rubbing right up against the front of the shoe. I then ordered the 12B a half size larger and my toes are still rubbing up against the front of the shoe. I even tried an 11.5D and that didn't fit right either. Every time I fitness walk with this shoe my feet are absolutely killing me because my toes are being crunched. I am so frustrated and aggravated that you changed the design and totally ruined the fit of this shoe. Why couldn't you just leave well enough alone with the Addiction 1, it was perfect in every way just the way it was. I don't know why you tried to fix it when it wasn't broken. I know that it is a fool's errand to suggest this but I have wishful thinking. Why don't you just discontinue the Addiction 2 and bring back the original Addiction 1 or at the very least offer both the Addiction 1 and Addiction 2.

This shoe got sent back. My husband couldn’t even get his foot in the shoe. He had the previous version and he loved it. This was the same size and it just didn’t work!

Long time user of the Addiction Walker... but the changes made to the non-slip tread of the Addiction 2 make these shoes bad at holding sand/dirt and tracking all over, also the tread is very grippy and squeaks often like a Tennis shoe on the court. Not a good every day wearing shoe and will not buy this model again... please bring back the old Addition sole pattern.

I've bought these shoes for many years but was extremely disappointed with them. I ordered a size up after reading reviews that they ran small and they still were rubbing against my toes. My feet hurt as well like the support wasn't like it used to be. Ordering different shoes from now on.

I have purchased at least six of the original Brooks Addiction Walkers over the years. I walk at a fast clip at least five miles a day for exercise, and those original Addiction Walkers were a dream. I never had a complaint. However, the same cannot be said for the Addiction Walker 2. I will not be buying any more Brooks Addiction Walkers since only Walker 2 is available. Within two weeks of my regular walks, I had a blister form on the right side of my right foot where a seam now exists on the Brooks Addiction Walker 2. This is a pity because the original Addiction Walker was perfect. Why companies feel compelled to change an item that already works puzzles me - unless, of course, they can have the item manufactured for less elsewhere. When they do, it appears that Brooks was willing to be satisfied with an item of much poorer quality.

To whom it may concern, I've only had these shoes for a short period of time & the sole is starting to separate from the front of the shoe itself(both feet). I've always been a fan of Brooks, but I'm a little disappointed this time around. Thanks, Cory Beebe

The Addiction Walker 11.5B fit perfectly. The Addiction Walker 2 right sneaker is too tight in the toe box. As a result I had to purchase an additional pair 11.5D. Now I have to wear an 11.5B on my left foot and an 11.5D on my right foot all because Brooks had to monkey around with the design of the sneaker. They should have left well enough alone. It it ain't broke don't fix it! Now I have to buy 2 pairs and spend twice as much money.

I have been buying the Addiction Walker for years. The Walker 2 is not the same shoe. I think if you will check the reviews that I am not the only person to point this out.

I normally do not do reviews. However, the Brooks Addiction Walker 2 it a terrible product! I have been wearing Brooks Addiction Walkers for many years, I have owned dozens of them. I wear them at work where I walk several miles a day. This shoe felt cheap and poorly made. The size was much smaller than the original. The tread change was not for the better. The top mostly plastic part was unattractive. The price went up and the quality went way down. If you ever bring the original Brooks Addiction back let me know.

Loved the old Addiction Walkers, I wore 11 1/2 4E with an orthotic and the shoe fit perfectly and were cushioned and very comfortable all day. The new Walker 2 is more narrow in the toe box and are not as cushioned. Also on the toe area the rubber sole started separating from the shoe after 2 months and the right shoe down the left side down the toe area the leather started to separate from the sole. I used to wear the originals all day without issue the new ones hurt the ball of my foot and my ankles start hurting. I also liked the old style better even though they weren't the greatest looking shoe out there.
