Ok this is the third pair of this walking shoe I?ve purchased? but I noticed I was slipping a little on wet surfaces outside. Then I saw the design of the sole has changed?a lot. Wish they had maintained the old design , as I never had that issue with previous walkers in the same make. I guess in future I will ask to see the sole before purchasing, or look at different models.. although the trend seems to be geared more to running shoes now . You could consider there?s a large number in the senior market looking for good walking shoes.

This pair of shoes fits fine, but is not as comfortable as my first pair which had the hush puppy look. Not sure if the hush puppy style, the material was more flexible, than this style which is a leather shoe.

It's a nice looking shoe, but the sole doesn't have enough traction for snow and ice. That's what I was looking for.

Bought 13s because that the size shoe I've worn for 15 yrs now but this pair was to small. It felt like I was cramming my feet into size 12s

It's kind of funny to be doing a review since I returned the shoes after 10 minutes. They seemed comfortable enough, but the material feels and looks cheap, and they make NOISE. As different parts of the shoe move against each other they squeak like crazy. This design needs work!

Not a fitting shoe for standing on your feet. I need another type of comfortable shoe. Or a sock that supports the shoe as well..

Good fit/look but they are already starting to fall apart after only 2 weeks or so of wear-Reading the comments it seems others have had the same problem with the toe separating on these shoes

They are OK. Not great like my Ghost runners. I use these for work, and I expect they will last quite a while. I'll need to buy a pair oh Ghost 15 before my next convention though.

I walk my dog 2 miles each day. I wanted a warmer shoe for our winter walks, and this shoe is definitely warmer than my summer Brooks Addiction. In fact, sitting inside in 70 degrees, my feet feel moist. This shoe may be too hot to wear in the spring and summer, especially in the sun. I am thinking of adding a few small vent holes. I actually prefer the Addiction Walker in brown suede, but it has been unavailable for a while.

The version 2 of the Addiction Walker is different from the original shoe. First of all, when new, the version 2 shoe doesn't feel as comfortably padded as the original. Secondly, this shoe squeaks when I walk, which makes it noisy, compared with the original shoe. As far as I am concerned, the shoe was changed when it didn't need to be changed, and not for the better. I also liked the original shoe's appearance over the new appearance. The sole has been changed, as well, so I want to see how the shoe holds up over time. I have been wearing this shoe for a week or so now, so I don't have enough time with them to know how much I'll like them as they wear in, but I would rate the original as a five-star. I can't give these new ones a five star rating because they are squeaky, flashy, and not the relieving feeling when they are new.

This shoe is very stiff; the upper material seems thick and a bit inflexible. It also makes a squeaky noise that is unwelcome. The fit is good and the sole cushion is as expected. I am assuming that the upper will break in over time. Previous Brooks shoes were excellent from day 1, both Addiction and Adrenaline. I use this shoe for walking, not for running.

I need a "winter shoe" for walking, so selected the leather upper Addiction because the Dyads I use the rest of the year are ventilated. I'm 74 years old and no longer run due to some leg and foot issues. The Addictions fit well, and definitely are more suited for cold, wet weather, but do not offer the kind of support that the Dyads provide. I cannot walk as far or as quickly in the Addictions. The lack of support causes back and leg pain fairly quickly. I realize that my situation probably is not typical of your customers, but I really wish you had a product available such as a leather-topped Dyad for winter use.

I have bought these for years. Great shoe but the last 2 pair that i have boughten squeak so badly I am embarrassed to wear them. I do have orthotics I wear in these shoes. Its been the same orthotics I have worn for years. I have never had a problem. I dont know if they are making them narrower or less material in the soul or bed. It looks like I have to find another brand which I hate to do.

To be honest I am disappointed in the quality of the shoe. I have been wearing addiction walkers for the better part of 20 years and always found them to be of superior quality. I ordered my most recent pair only to find out that a size 12 no longer fit me. I'm 72 yrs. old so I know my feet haven't grown. I spoke to one of your staff and he recognized that it has become necessary to order everything a half size larger. Quality control? or vendors skimping on material? I have reordered and the fit is now OK. However, whatever material you have used inside causes a squeak where the tongue contacts the inside of the shoe just below the laces when walking. This can be duplicated by just using your hand to move the tongue around. I am not trying to be a cranky old man but I hate to see a quality product from a highly reputable company become tarnished.

I was excited to get them, I only wear Brooks, but when I got them they look great, but run small. I always get a 13 in my sneakers, thye would of been a 14 and that would of been to big so I exchanged them for another Brooks.

The updates to this shoe are not improvements. The shoe is sleeker and more fashionable, but now squeezes my feet and lacks softness that my last set of addiction walkers had. I'll check to see if someone still has an older version. The new version is OK, just had more foot pain after a 12 hour shift.

Fit is as advertized... Comfort is decent but not great quality is not very good anti slip sole is useless. You can and I did slip on wet concrete. Do not expect any sort of traction with these shoes.

Before I purchased these online, I did so, because I wanted to be professionally sized. I went to one of your dealers here in town. I am very happy with the overall fit and craftsmanship. However, the pad of my right heal caused me a sharp pain while wearing them at work, standing on a rubber mat over concrete. My left shoe is fine. I work i an USDA grade food lab. After standing for hours, it can be very painful. When finished with work walking can improve the painful condition, but it is still with me even though reduced. How do I keep up with their appearance and condition? Do I use good quality shoe polish to dress them up if alcohol drips on them? Will it be possible to buy more shoe laces for these shoes? They are very nice quality and will wear out before the shoes. I would like to buy 4 pair for siz 11.5 d. Thank you, Stephen Williams

Nice, good looking and comfortable shoes, BUT they're not slip resistant. At least in the kitchen.

The sole is too stiff for ideal walking distances. Its great for standing. Very comfortable. I wear it to baseball games where I'm largely sitting and short walks. I use other Brooks shoes for fitness walking.
