I had read prior reviews. The fit did not seem any different. This shoe seems a bit more streamlined in appearance though it weighs the same. It does take time to break in. It still seems sturdy and stable. The strings could be longer. And you could give it a little color, it seems so bland. I can see where you trimmed the rubber on the toe.

Excellent for those that toil on their feet, especially retail workers on concrete floors. Don't mess with the moneymakers (your feet!), spend the money. They are worth it. Just wish they weren't so visually sedate.

I really like the feel and support of Addiction walker 2 shoes. The only downside is that they were creaking loudly the first week I wore them. The creaking is getting quieter. Almost returned them except that I really like the support they give me.

Mail carrier says good footbed, nonslip sole, uppers breath well, good support and lightweight.

The reviews I read by those who had been wearing addiction 1’s lead me to delay trying these 2’s. Truth is there not the same but they’re good. My 15 M’s are a good fit.

I deliver for an Amazon DSP so I'm walking on concrete, up and down stairs, and climbing in and out of my van all day, usually about 150 stops per day. These shoes are more comfortable than most work shoes I've had. I've had mine a week now and my back, legs, and knees don't hurt as much as the boots or shoes I used to deliver in. In the next version they could add more cushioning though, I think Hoka has these beat by a lot in that department, unfortunately hoka doesn't have slip resistant so not Amazon approved.
I'd also recommend:

My previous pair of Ascics Gel Kayonos had to be fitted 1 full size larger than my 11.5 and that was recommended on the site for these as well - proved to be accurate. The shoes are comfortable and very supportive, but my wife thinks they make me look like Herman Munster. Since I don't care much about style, that's fine for me. I did a lot of research before buying these and the consensus was that these were among the best walking shoes for flat footed people like myself, and so far, I've been very pleased with them.

I was seeking a very firm sole for support, this shoe substantially meets my goal

Second eyelet from the top seems vulnerable to stress and should be reinforced. Addiction walkers have become very expensive. Perhaps you could streamline operations and reduce costs. Otherwise, excellent walking shoe.

I like the old style better for walking and wish you still had the brown ones available

I am a nurse working 12 hour shifts with a lot of that on my feet. I developed planter fasciitis in my right foot which was extremely painful. I was told brooks running shoes have superior support but was disappointment to find out that none of the running shoes were leather but made of fabric. In my work environment I need a shoe that is easy to clean and sanitize. I did get a pair of Adrenaline running shoes which were comfortable but keeping the fabric clean was a concern of mine. I finally ran across these walking shoes and even though they are almost but not quite as comfortable as the running shoes I am able to work with minimal pain wearing these shoes with inserts from my doctor. These shoes seem to be durable and high quality.

My first pair of shoes from Brooks. Fit and materials are great! My ONLY complaint is a a "squeak" that seems to be between the insole and the bottom of the interior of the shoe. More prominent in the right shoe that the left.

My husband likes his Brooks. But he said this pair needs more arch support. He had to buy insoles for his.

Note, I am not a runner, these are used for daily casual wear and walking on a treadmill. Very comfortable, sturdy shoes. Reasonably grippy on wet surfaces, I suspect that if they were more grippy then the outsole would wear more quickly based on past experience. Like all shoes with punched lacing holes they are a nuisance to loosen and tighten, I decoupled the laces from the tongue and that helped a lot, but I still spend more time than I like getting pressure even from the bottom to the top of the laces. I would pay extra a model with low profile metal loops. Silver lining is that they do not loosen during the day. I appreciate finding shoes in narrow; I have a long, narrow foot with a high instep and finding comfortable, supportive shoes is a challenge.

I bought all the original addiction walkers online i could find in my size. I had 10-12 pairs stocked up since I seriously doubted I'd like the the # 2 Addition Walker as well. After using all those up, i tried some very expensive shoes before returning to Brooks. This is my first pair of the new Addiction Walker #2. I am pleasantly surprised at the shoe. Although it is not the original, I'll be staying with Brooks. Thank you. EB

They are comfortable right out of the box but a little stiff. I wish I would have listened to the warning of going up a half size.

Material more durable than regular Addiction. Width seemed 1/2 size too narrow.

I just retired my Addiction1 for the 2. Seems heavy for a running shoe. I use to walk 8-10 miles per day .Great arch / roll support. Needs more heal and toe cushioning. Looks out of date compared to today's styled shoes.

I work for Amazon and deliver packages all day, just had got these through work for free and I must say they are very supportive waking shoes but they aren’t as light as I was hoping. Still overall good walking shoe, just wouldn’t pay this much out of my own pocket..

Exceptionally made shoes. First time my husband has purchased this brand for work- he's on his feet on hard floors walking all day. He's enjoying them much! Hopefully they'll hold up better than some of his previous ones.
