I have been buying Brooks for years, even though they are more expensive than many brands. Why. Because they are more comfortable and supportive than many other brands. Zappos has made it easier to obtain (then Brooks itself). I just wish that Brooks had a larger variety of styles for their walking shoe. We are all not runners. The front of the Suede style holds up better than the non suede. So I am limited to two shoes.

Shoe is not a good winter shoe, breathes too much! Previously owned 2 pair of same shoe in the brown (buck) fabric. Would trade the current shoe for the brown one at any time. Too bad you discontinued the (buck). Live and learn??

Like the shoe, would recommend, and likely would buy again. If anyone at Brooks is reading I’d suggest a couple improvements which would turn a very good shoe into the best: > more cushion & support; water resistant/ proof; and greater choice of colors. BTW I ended up putting a Dr Scholl’s Sport Gel in and this improved the cushion & support- you get the idea. Also, on the color front the two worst colors for keeping “clean” are white and black….

These run about a half size small for my 12 EE feet. On second try, the 12.5 EE men's fit OK. I've got wide feet and on these the toe box tapers a bit more quickly to the toe. Support is OK. Cushioning could be better. I'll probably end up swapping out the insole for a Dr. Sholls gel sport; which adds more cushion and more arch support. Like everything else about the shoe, however, wish Brooks had more color options. Black for a walking shoe gets real dirty real fast!!

These shoes run about 1/2 size small. I wear size 12 and had to return the originals I ordered and get size 12.5 and they are the most comfortable and supportive walking shoe I have ever worn. The suede is awesome!

I use these for regular walking, typically only 3-6 miles. I used to wear the leather Addiction Walkers which fit my feet perfectly. But they didn't breath and tended to get smelly. The Addiction Walker Suede breathes enough to wear on warm days in Florida. I like an exercise shoe with a narrow heel and a wide toe box. Compared to the leather Walkers, the Suede Walker seems to have a pointier toe and tends to press on my toes and metatarsals. Careful lacing helps. (But they are still better than most other walking/running shoes I've tried.) The sole is ok for my use. It does collect a lot of small pebbles and plant clutter. I sometimes have problems with plantar fasciitis. The support in this shoe doesn't really seem to help with that, but it also doesn't seem to cause it. In general, I feel like the shoe does well for side-to-side motion support.

Nice shoe, Good that I bought a size larger as the toe area is narrow. I could have gone with the wide size. Need more color choices as the dark blue or black can get hot on the feet under sunny conditions.

Good fitting shoe. However, the tongue is sewn in such a way that about a quarter-inch of fabric in the interior, near what would be around the bottom-most lace, constitutes a shallow ridge that presses against where the base of my toes join the beginning of the instep on my left foot. That's the only rub, no pun intended. To be fair, I wear orthotic insoles, which probably raise my foot a millimeter or so higher than the factory insole. Still, perhaps the tongue could be sowed on so that any protruding fabric is on the exterior, which the bottom-most lace could cover. Otherwise, I'd give the shoe five stars.

First, I love Brooks shoes. This is my 1st time to rate, but this pair was my 5th pair of Brooks Shoes (and I just ordered Adrenaline 21's for my 6th pair). I work in Food Service and am constantly on my feet. I have Achilles Tendinitis and Bone Spurs in both heals. Brooks has helped my feet recover when not at work with my Transcend 4, Transcend 5, Adrenaline 20, and Beast 20 shoes. I was hoping these "Slip Resistant" Addiction Walker Suedes would help while at work. They are slip resistant, but definitely not Oil & Slip Resistant. I probably wouldn't fall in the kitchen, but it's not 100% safe there either. I slowly slide around corners. These are the least comfortable of the 5 pairs I have, but I get it that sacrifices have to be made in weight and comfort to achieve the slip resistant aspect. Please, Brooks, come up with some Oil & Slip Resistant shoes to help those of us in Food Service and probably also Nursing, etc. I've worn Shoes for Crews, New Balance, Sketchers, Dr. Scholls, and pretty much every brand imaginable trying to find good quality shoes for someone like me who's on their feet often 12 hours a day in my restaurant. We need help!

I?m a mechanic and usually buy the leather version so I can just wipe off spilled fluids. The suede material is heavier than your average brooks shoe cloth material so hopefully still cleans up ok. Took about a week to break in and now they are real comfortable. I wish they were more slip resistant. They are slightly more grippy than regular shoes but can definitely still fall if not careful on a wet floor. The total weight of the shoe feels less than the leather version and looks good but heavier than other brooks shoes. To me, the last version was a little more comfortable but a real ugly duckling. I don?t run in these, just stand about 10 hours a day on hard floor.

These are nice shoes. I wear them for walking and daily life. The toe box seems a little narrower than my previous pairs of Addiction Walkers. My biggest regret is that Brooks has discontinued the brown leather Addiction Walker.

I have to say that my knee and foot issues are helped by my wearing these walkers the past 2 weeks. I believe it is the Maximum Support that is doing it - so my knees and feet aren?t forced to move all over the place when walking. They are 5 stars for functionality, but I feel the look is that of an old man?s shoe.

I like the looks of the shoe. They are comfortable and have a lot of support. I was concerned about the arch support being sufficient but they are perfect. They do run a little tight. I ordered extra wide 4E and there is no room for an ortho insert unless you take out the insole that comes with the shoe.
