These were quite possibly the worst shoes I've ever owned - and I'm thankful for Zappos' return policy. I was a true believer in the Brooks Beast shoes and all that changed with the Beast 2020 version (just head over there to see the barrage of negative reviews with the 20), so I thought I would swap over to the Addiction line. The comfort was there, but the quality sure wasn't. They lasted ONE WEEK before they started falling apart - the seams around the ankle actually came undone. I can't believe these are $130/pair - seriously, I've gotten better quality shoes from those no-name places in the mall.

I bought this (my second Brooks) five months ago. The shoe fit wells, and was very comfortable. I felt it was a good purchase. However, a few days ago I noticed a little hole on the top tip of my left shoe. I have no idea how it happened. And the hole is growing bigger, now about 1/2 inch in diameter. I am quite disappointed with the quality of the shoe upper material. This is the first time for me in all my years of sneaker use. Quite disappointed with the lack of quality materials on the shoe upper.

I've worn out countless pairs of Brooks Ghost and several pairs of Addiction. This shoe has the worst cushioning of any Brooks shoe I've ever tried. It feels like a $50 pair of Asics. I tried gel inserts, and it still felt like I was strapping a board to my foot. Many reviewers have lamented the lack of cushioning in this model. They're right. I simply don't understand why shoe manufacturers ditch proven designs. I do not recommend this shoe.

I have been wearing g Brooks Adrenaline GTS for years but for the past two years they have become progressively narrower in the toe box. In order to accommodate arthritic conditions, bunions, hammer toes and Morton’s neuroma, I ordered these a half size larger and they feel great! What a wonderful surpruse( I was about to give up).

My husband loves these. Extremely comfortable for his large problem feet.

Cushy, spongy, deep plunging goodness for my old feet. Great investment for yourself. I am not a runner, I use these for office work.

Winners! My husband wears a 12.5 Narrow, and these are the best fitting shoes he's had in forever. No need for the SuperFeet inserts he typically needs to add. They were delivered a day earlier than promised, as well. Happy customers.

These shoes have proven durable and comfortable. Very satisfied.

The sizing is spot on. I'm a female that suffers from plantar fasciitis and men's shoes are always my go to. I'm on my feet my entire 10 hour shift at work. The Brooks Addiction 14 we're a perfect fit for my orthotic inserts and provide stability and comfort. My feet no longer ache after work! I'm in love with these shoes!

I'm getting older and have a problem with one of my feet, so I really have to look long and hard to find shoes that are a comfortable fit and look decent. I had been wearing Merrell hiking shoes for everyday use because I like a solid platform, but the last pair of Merrells I bought suck (excuse the language). The quality level was nowhere close to my previous pair that I wore out. I wish I had sent them back. So I looked and looked and came upon the Brooks Addiction 14. I ordered a regular wide for my first pair and had to return them. I recently received my extra-wide pair and absolutely love them! They are so comfortable, best shoes I've worn in a long time. Of course, the problem with really supportive shoes is that they can look like orthopedic shoes, but these look pretty darn good. Even my fashion-conscious daughter gave them a thumbs-up. Highly recommend, although I think several of the reviews mention "too narrow" -- so if you have wide feet, I'd go with the extra-wide.

As is usually the case with athletic shoes, the new pair feel so much more supportive and cushioned than the outgoing pair, but these are excellent shoes. Lightweight, they stay cool, and they feel very solid while walking and jogging.
