I have worn out three pairs of the previous addiction walkers, in 10.5 4E. Despite the reviews, I tried the new version. Although the look and construction of these shoe seem fine, they are simply not wide enough in my regular size. I have other shoes in that size, including some recent ones, and I think my size remains 4E. I returned these and cannot decide whether to try 6E. It seems silly that they have changed the sizing of the shoes without changing the nominal sizes.

A hole started forming in one of my shoes back in December 2021. Purchased this pair of Addiction 14 back in August 2021. I expect a shoe this expensive to last longer. Brooks used to make a quality product. Not likely to buy another pair of Brooks running shoes in the future.

I've worn Brooks for years for a foot problem. I'm very disappointed that Brooks has changed the shoe and removed what gave them stability to make them lighter. I'm unable to wear Brooks because of this change. Please bring back the heavier shoe for those of us who aren't runners and need maximum stability in a shoe.

You big companies never cease to amaze. Its all in the comments. You walk away from the all leather shoes for this fabric nonsense and enrage everyone of your loyal followers.

The shoe begins to fall apart quickly. This is the second pair to have the issue with. Do not purchase.

I have been using for my self and my patients ( physical therapy ) the brooks addiction shoe from version 5 to 13 which all had good mid and forefoot support that controlled pronation very well through having none stretch material in the mid foot region. The version 14 is cheaper construction with mid foot stretch construction which allows some pronation to occur so that the center of gravity fall bit more inwards and the big toe now rubs against the plastic hard toe insert making the big toe go numb. We have tried 2E still same problem for patients that in the past was D to E width. I personally make orthotics since 1988 for Olympic athletes to walkers of all ages. 75 percent of people are pronators when you measure the forefoot in relation to the rear foot the adduction we found in the past great for up to 12 degrees forefoot pronation with out needing an orthotic

I have worn so many pairs of the Addictions that I lost count. This 14 does not meet the high standard as the others. The shoe wore out faster and my feet which pronate in were actually turning onto the side because of lack of support under my feet on the opposite side of the pronation. I have to wear an orthotic and the shoes squeak. My feet starting hurting due to them wearing out, so I bought another pair thinking maybe the shoe was just defective, but they squeak also, and I can't fathom wearing them with each step hearing that squeak! I have no way of knowing if these will hold up. I am not a runner, so they do not get harsh wear.

I do not reccomend these shoes, or the brand Brooks anymore. I used to wear their shoes exclusively - they fit well, offered great support, and lasted appropriately. I have had these shoes for 6 weeks and already the shoe is wearing down as if it had been used for 6 months. The sole is beginning to peel, in addition to the breakdown of the body on the shoe. It seems Brooks has started using much cheaper materials and is no longer the quality it used to be.

Bring back the original design! These are uncomfortable, wear out fast and do not help with pronation! Less support in the heel than previous design! I've owned several pairs of the previous design, they WERE great, not now! I need to find a new shoe!

I tried the addiction because they changed the beast and I personal find that they make my feet hurt. The new and improved brooks are not so new and improved after all

Like stepping into a cardboard shoe. No cushion, no bounce, very rigid. Disappointing.

I can't believe I've had these sneakers for less than a month and the fabric tore open. I've had sneakers from other brands for years, and it's never happened before.

I found the shoes to clunky while running. Maybe my running style or just shoe preference. But definitely not a good fit for me. On a good note, Brooks' customer service is awesome!

I've have worn the Addiction for many years. The version 14 is a huge disappointment! The redesigned toe box is a disaster. It seems Brooks wanted to make it lighter and less expensive to manufacture. The biggest flaw is the new toe box. Its molded rather than sewn and after a period of a few weeks the inside seam at the top of toes starts to peel back. This causes your toes to catch this seam when you flex the toe box such as when bending over. This new version also has less forefoot stability because it's a one-piece design and it becomes soft and less stable more quickly. The version 13 had sewn-in support pieces at the toe and was much better. Finally, the tongue is thinner and overall, the new version feels less supportive. Brooks has done the same thing to the Beast thus forcing me to go shopping other brands to find a replacement. Come on Brooks, put quality above cost and bring back the quality and support of previous versions.

The shoe is too big, and is very definitely not a 10 oz shoe, it's heavier.

Heel is to hard. Good support in arch and for b pronation but the end step by tired is way too soft and cause last minute roll in.

Not comfortable at all, no matter how tight tie shoe strings, shoe slides up and down my heel. Had the addiction 12 first, way more comfortable than 14. 14 hurts my feet while wearing not comfortable shoe even to lounge in

I have bought Brooks since 1998, particularly the Beast or whatever its predecessors were. They have always been great. Since COVID, I have started purchasing directly from you. I tried the Ghost - also great. The Addiction is terrible - what a clodhopper. I'd like to return them after my new Ghost arrives so I will have a box to put them in. My old Beasts are more comfortable than the Addiction

First day wearing these and I couldn't be more disappointed ? very uncomfortable. I've had numerous pairs of brooks that I've loved.. I am on my feet all day in the health care industry. Definitely should have tried these on in a store before purchasing online. Live and learn I guess

I purchased the Brooks Addiction, because the Brooks Adrenalin is no longer available in a narrow width. The Addiction has been a big disappointment. It has little or no arch support. The wider than usual sole seems to cause slapping or flat footed running. Also, the shoe is heavier and stiffer than the typical running shoe. I'll try to find a narrow Adrenalin online or go back to New Balance.

These are really comfortable and supportive. I need a large toe box and narrow heal.. But after just two months, the foam under the ankle is breaking down. Same place on both shoes.
