I wanted to love these shoes, but after wearing them briefly my bunion started to ache. The 10's had more room in the toe box which is important for my foot. I am so sad that these have to go back.

Come on Brooks!! A good redo of the Brooks Ghost < 11 but SHORT SHORT SHORT in length. I wear a 9.5 in every single pair of running shoes I own but each time Brooks does a redesign of a shoe, the first year redo runs short. I will likely reorder a 10 and see if that is even enough room - my toes hitting the end of the shoe in the 9.5. I hope the 12 is not as flimsy as the 11 which was really a bad redesign of the original ghost.

i am on my feet 8 to 9 hours a day. I broke them in slowly each day but after 4 hours of standing my feet hurt so much that I had to take them off. I have bunions on both feet and have yet found the right shoes. I ordered wide and half a size up but they felt tight across. This shoes are well made but they're not for me. Although the insoles seemed supportive, the arch in this shoe hits my foot incorrectly, causing discomfort. I also prefer a more supportive, stiffer fabric, rather than the sweater knit type of athletic shoe.

I like the Ghost 11 a lot but was disappointed in the Ghost 12. I had read many positive reviews about the improved cushioning in the Ghost 12, but I didn't think it felt as good as the Ghost 11. The toe box is much narrower in the Ghost 12, although that alone would not have been enough for me to return them as I think they probably would have stretched a bit. But combined with the cushion, I decided to return them and will stick with the Glycerin for now.

I LOVED my Ghost 10s and wore them out completely. I went ahead and just bought the 12s thinking they would be similar enough without trying them first. I need shoes that provide stability and more support around the ankle. I feel like the 12s lost a little bit of that support since they fit a little lower. The toe box also felt a little smaller than the 10s. If you need support for your ankles, these may not be for you. And if your border on needing a standard or wide shoe, get the wide.

These are too narrow in the toe box, the toe is not rounded enough for me and put pressure on my big toe. Had to return.

IThrough the years, i have bought many great shoes from Zppos. Here lately, the same style and brand of shoe don't seem to fit as well. On the Brooks Ghost 12, the width is tight (and I have a narrow foot) and the laces are short. Ive've worn the ghost before, although usually my go to is the Brooks Glycerine. Thought I'd try the Ghost since Zappos was out of my size in the Glycerine color I wanted. The way this Ghost is made hurt the outside of my foot.

I am so disappointed. I run in the Ghost 11s. They are perfect and were my replacement shoe for Asics who changed their design. Now Brooks changed the Ghost and put a piece on the back of the heel that adds 2 seems that rub on your heels while running. This new heel design is terribly uncomfortable and would cause blisters. Why would they change a perfectly good smooth heel design. Love the shoe but this makes it unwearable. So bummed!

I bought another pair of this style and found them to be much more comfortable. This pair hurt the bottom of the ball of my foot and was actually hurting one side of my foot as well.

Love my Ghost 10's, but the Ghost 12's hurt my feet terribly. So wanted to make them work.

I've had several pairs of Ghost 11's. LOVE them, got the new Ghost 12 and my feet hurt, feel burning when I walk. They feel smaller, my toe touches almost. I'm so very disappointed. Now I have to try another style and hope that I find one that works for me; then hope they don't go changing it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it Brooks! Bring back my 11's!

The fit on these shoes was great. They are great for walking. However, I HATE them for running. I bought them because they were ranked #1 for runners in a 2020 review of womens athletic shoes. It described how cushioned the front of foot was etc. which was something I was looking for. For me, the cushioning was obvious around the top/sides of the foot. But the impact of my foot onto the ground was intense. The shoe has no give (or cushion) at all as the sole of your foot hits the ground. I should have known not to buy Brooks. I have another pair of Brooks I bought for running. Was not thrilled with them either but still better than Brooks Ghost 12. I will not buy Brooks again. Going back to Asics.

I love Brooks but this shoe was not comfortable. My foot is fairly narrow but this medium width shoe felt much too narrow. I ordered a half size larger and probably needed a full size larger. Given all of the above, I decided this style wasn’t for me.

I have a narrow foot and high arches. I typically wear a size 9 in shoes and 9.5 in sneakers. I bought the 9.5 and after walking for 15 minutes my feet were burning and so uncomfortable. I normally wear the Brooks Glycerin but there make this time around was way too big. I am not sure if I can continue with Brooks sneakers at this point. Beyond frustrated with all of the returns but not willing to waist over $100 and uncomfortable sneakers.

I have been wearing brooks ghosts for a long time and they usually fit well. I wear a size 10. But these come up higher in the back and they were too uncomfortable so i returned them. Although i would recommend brooks ghost sneakers most of the time , i would not recommend ghost 12.

I buy the Brooks Ghost shoes often and was really disappointed in this version. Initially they felt great but since they have start making this cracking noise in the toe area and I can feel the cracking when I walk. I can see no visible damage so definitely something in the shoe. I'm a heavier individual so my shoes breakdown faster so I typically replace every 4-6 months buy I'm only a little over a month in and already hate them. Just super bummed...

This is my 4th pair of Ghost Brooks and the comfort is just not as great as my 2 pair of Ghost 11's. I'm not sure what is going on but I'm very disappointed. I walk an average of 20 miles a week.

I went up 1/2 size larger than my norm and was still not happy with fit. I had a previous version of the ghost that I loved, but the 12 has too many differences in the fit and style

Don’t purchase the vanilla sprinkle style if you are a runner. Great sneaker, however I’d like to know what genius decided ribbons for laces makes sense for a running shoe. Came untied within 30 seconds of running. A potentially dangerous situation on a treadmill.

love ghost and wanted to love this shoe because it was so cute with the multi color laces. However the material used for the laces is slippery so they untie several times during my runs. have to return

I've tried these in my regular size 9 wide, but the width wasn't wide enough. I tried size 9.5 wide but those were too big. The Ghost 12 are not as wide as their predecessor. The Ghost 11 gave me more room in the toe box for the width of the shoe. Very disappointed.

I WANTED to love these shoes. I loved the color of hollyhock and black. Sadly not as much cushion as I was hoping for. Lastly, too narrow even in a wide width and I don't take a wide in any other shoe. PLEASE brings back a wide toe box. Too many shoes makers are going narrow and/or more fitted. Those of us with problem feet can't wear a tight shoe. So sad, finally a color I could love and they look better than the mesh holes of the Glycerin I normally wear. Disappointing!

Brooks continues to be so inconsistent in sizes. This model has 2 different types of uppers & both fit different. I found the real mesh to be better overall, but the other material was a cotton/tweed tighter weave. Those run short & narrow due to that material, & probably runs hot as not much ventilation. Mesh knit did better for size & gave more in already narrow toe box. So sorry, Zappos but had to return Many for various reasons. I see others are doing the same for exact reasons I noted. I think l'm done with Brooks due to quality over past years. Materials they use don't last long as before & quality control is definitely lacking. As a reference, I only use to walk & casual use, so I don't see how these can last very long for runners. Their other models seem to suffer from the same problem, so on with my hunt for another manufacturer, but I think most of them are doing the same thing. I've tried Asics, New Balance, Saucony. No luck.. So ? sad
