I usually wear 8.5 or 9 and I tried both sizes in the Ghost and preferred the 9. After a 3 mile walk in the 8.5 pair, my toes hurt because they didn’t have enough space (they were bumping into the sides), something that didn’t happen to me while doing errands. I am a forefoot striker. I prefer the Ghost’s arch support over Glycerin’s. And while I liked the supportive feel under foot, after a 5 mile walk in the size 9, my feet felt fatigued. Perhaps this was also due to the drop being 12 mm, better suited for running than walking. I ultimately went with Adrenaline 19 which are more cushioned than Ghost but not neutral. I like the extra support Adrenaline offered. For me, Ghost would have be great for running errands but I needed a pair for long daily walks.

Great fit. Slightly less cushioning than the Transcend model but overall very comfy.

Frustrated with sizing. Also, Amount of cushion forces foot up and squishes my entire foot

Bought this shoe because a lot of the reviews said they have suitable arch support for high arches. Personally, I could barely feel the arch support in these, but I'm keeping them because they are lightweight (good for travel) and I think they will still make good walking shoes.

I always wear an 8. My toe came right to the end. Need a half size up. 8 1/2 .

I got these in a size 8 for my daughter. She needs a wide shoe and has the Ghost 11, but wanted a different color, so we went with the Ghost 12. She said it was very comfortable, plenty of room for her toes. It's not quite as cute as the Ghost 11 style, and I think we prefer Ghost 11, but they need more colors.

I have a Mortons Neuroma and Brooks was a recommended brand for me. This is a cute shoe with a rigid sole which is what I need. Unfortunately, the insole did not have enough cushion for me and aggravated my neuroma. Back they go. Thanks Zappos for your wonderful return policy.

The Ghost 12 sizing is truly bizarre. I can't believe the difference between the 6.5 and the 7 is truly just 1/2 centimeters. On me, the 6.5 was snug: my toes touched the front, although the heel was perfect. The 7 was enormous: the heel was swimming and the length had gone from shoe to canoe. How can there be such an enormous difference in half a size? Either there is no quality control or Ghost 12 is a lemon (which it might be, since they switched to 13 quite quickly). Back to Zappos they go. It's for things like this that Zappos is unparalleled: knowing that you can try shoes on at home at your leisure and simply return them without stress if they don't fit.

Out f the box. Felt wonderful. Walked around the house and everything still very comfortable. Went for a three mile hike and by the time I was finished the side of my big toe felt so much pressure I thought maybe there was cardboard from the shipping that I hadn’t removed! Took the shoes off and definitely no cardboard. I don’t know what’s wrong but these are unbearable for me. And now that I’ve worn them I don’t think I can return them. Super disappointed!

I wanted to love these so badly, but each time I tried them, I either got a numb toe or a strange pinch across the top of the arch. I played around with different lacing styles, but nothing quite worked. Bummed

Definitely not for road ... more appropriate for treadmill workouts; not cushioned enough for me in the heal or the forefront. So I have to go back to my Aasics.

These shoes felt great expect they ran a half size too small. I wear 7/7.5 everyday shoes and a consistent 8 in running shoes. My toes were hitting the ends as soon as I started running. I did feel these were most comfortable and bought a size 8.5... to be continued.... I run/walk 4-5mi everyday and have a slightly over pronated right foot

I love the way this shoe looks, I wanted them to work for me, but for some reason I just could not wear them. I have some arthritis in my left foot and these shoes caused pain. I wished they worked.

I love these, they fit well, generous toe box, but nice snug hee. Perfect. BUT, after running in them for 5 months, the fabric has completely ripped. Not a little tear, a huge two inch gash on the outer top edge of both shoes. Maybe it is how they fit my feet, but the tear is bilateral and in the same position on both shoes. I do wear them on muddy trails, lots of hills, but that has been true of all my running shoes and I have never had a pair rip like this. I want another pair, but am reluctant to buy them as I am sure they will tear and be trashed in 4-5 months too...disappointed.

I have worn Brooks Ghost for many years and love the shoe. However, I have had to send back several pairs because the toe box on the Ghost 12 is narrower than on the 10 or 11. Other than the narrow toe box, I love the sneaker and hope my next pair will be one I can wear comfortably.

Unfortunately, the Ghost 12 doesn't feel as roomy as the Ghost 10. My Ghost 10s felt perfect right out of the box. I have wide feet, and the Ghost 12 feels a bit narrower. They're going back.

I currently wear the Launch 6 (I really like them). I thought I wanted something different, so I purchased the Ghost 12. I read the reviews and ended up buying a half size larger (I should not have done that). The toe box area is wide and my toes don’t feel scrunched and they are definitely comfortable, but I just cannot run in them. I felt like all of the cushion absorbed energy and they just felt “heavy” and “clunky” to me. I will definitely wear them for a day of walking or if I will be on my feet all day, but not running.

As far as the looks - 5 *'s; but after a while they started to hurt in the arches. They have tons of arch support, and they are very bouncy and cushiony overall. I wish they just didn't hurt. True to size though. I've had Ghost 7 a long time ago; they were great for a few years!

Ordered these to replace a well worn pair of Ghost 10s. The Ghost 10s felt like walking on pillows; the 12s do not. They’re not necessarily a bad shoe but I was hoping for a new set of foot pillows and these are much firmer than my beaten down Ghost 10s. Returning and am going to try my luck with a pair of Hokas.

The new ghost 12 doesn't have as much cushion and comfort as the ghost 11. I don't care for the new style of the shoe. It makes my feet look huge :( I've been wearing brooks for many years and have favored the ghost running shoe until now. I'm hoping the next ghost will be an improvement over the ghost 12!

I wanted to like these. The cushion of the soles was very nice. They were very comfortable... except for the opening around the ankle. I felt it was too bulky, and put pressure on the back of my Achilles. I was sure to get a blister if i wore then much longer. For this reason i had to return them. I've never had this happen with a pair of Ghost's before.

I have previous model of ghost that felt half size too big but going down half size with new model is way too small. It does feel like they kept the great cushiony sole that sold me on Brooks Ghost to begin with - just have to go up a half size.

I bought these Ghost 12’s to replace my Ghost 11’s. They did not fit or feel the same. Not even close. I have had 4 pairs of Ghost shoes and I keep buying them because they seem to work best with my orthotics. I am disappointed that Brooks shoes are so inconsistent from season to season. If you find a pair you love chances are you will never be able to find another pair that fits exactly the same. I returned the Ghost 12’s.

I purchased these Brooke’s to take to Italy on a month long trip that I knew would involve lots of walking on city walkways. I chose Ghost 12 after my partner purchased these shoes in men’s directly from Brooke’s, the company website, based on the company’s rating for superior cushion in the footbed. While these shoes are true to size and quality as other Brooke’s I have owned, the cushioning in the heel was great, but the ball of the foot area did not supply the cushion that I was hoping for. Shortly after our arrival, and the walking and standing involved with the first tour, my poor feet were killing me. I weigh 140 pounds, and thought these shoes were wonderful at first, breaking them in at home before traveling. I had to purchase Dr. Scholl’s inserts to survive the rest of our stay in Italy.
