I have gone through several Baggallini purse models trying to find one that works for me. This would be my top choice-- it's plenty roomy, sturdy and well made, has a variety of generously sizeed pockets and is good for everyday or as a carry-on with the sleeve in the back you can slide your suitcase handle through. One MAJOR design flaw for me is that when the top is not zipped, it gapes open, in both the back pack and the shoulder bag/crossbody configurations, inviting pickpockets. I'm in and out of my bag constantly and rarely zip it. The zipper is a nice feature to have if you are stowing it under your seat or want to make sure things inside are very secure, but for day to day use, they could have (and should have) added an invisible magnetic closure inside the lining, or a short or full height flap w/ magnetic closure that would go over the top of the front. Or put the shoulder strap D-rings on the sides. Even if they had moved one of the top D-rings to the front of the bag (as is very common with detachable shoulder straps), that would prevent it from gaping excessively. I know myself and I know I'm not going to start zipping it open and closed 20x a day. Another issue is that the long strap when used in the backpack configuration is not long enough when wearing a bulky coat or for larger bodied people. And the drop on the leatherette carry-handles aren't long enough to fit over your shoulder, only can be held in your hand. If they would fix these features, I could see this being my go-to bag and buy a new color or print every year. Sadly, now, i will need to return this one.

I bought this bag a few years ago. Great design and wore well. Bought it in midnight blossom and thought it was same design. NOPE. No longer has a great pocket with a built in rfid wallet which was fantastic and handy. Now it needs a separate wallet that adds bulk, weight and expense. Super disappointed you changed a very useful design to a cheaper, not so great version. Debating sending it back. It and all the accessories.

I purchased the 3-in-1 convertible because it had the backpack and water bottle holder features which I would love on my avenue tote. I've had a silver version of the Avenue tote (which is very similar) for four years and it's been to seven countries and was my every day commuter bag when I lived in London for a year. I jumped on the 3-in-1 thinking it would be just like my other bag but with extra features, however it's not big enough to fit my 15" laptop! I wish the bag was a little bigger because then it would check off all the boxes for what I want in a bag and the build quality of the 3-in-1 looks just a good as that of my beloved tote. If there's any way, please make it a little bigger!

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Nice fabric, quality is solid. But by the time I put my water bottle in the outside sleeve and my laptop inside the bag, there is no room for anything else!

The bag is a lot smaller than I thought it was. And the material is kind of cheap.

I was really looking forward to receiving this bag. Unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. The backpack is not easy to put on. It could be used as a crossbody, but it is bulky. Sadly I'm returning

I just bought this, but the wristlet was not included. The bag is great, but I would like the matching wristlet. The hang tag even boasts about RFID-protection.

This has not made me as happy as I hoped it would. I find it very difficult to put on and off, given its construction. It is also very stiff. Good features are that it easily holds my laptop and has a good number of other pockets.

In short: better than most soft briefcases; not a good backpack. The main pocket functions like a briefcase and holds my iPad Pro and papers plus all my purse items. The main pocket holds the briefcase shape better than other soft briefcases. The backpack straps - the feature that I purchased the bag for - don't work well. They are awkward to put on and so I don't use them. So I carry the bag like a purse (which is usually too heavy to be a good idea) or a briefcase.

So been looking at this bag for awhile. Like the backpack option for brief periods when need hands free. Like the shoulder strap to use as crossbody or for a change up. CON: purse type handles way too short they need 2 to 4 more inches. When traveling or commuting with this bag, safety and security is needed. Holding the bag close to the body is necessary. The purse handle strap barely fit on my shoulder with a t-shirt on, will never fit with a jacket or coat. How are women supposed to carry this close to the body. Please re-think this design, would re-buy if handles were longer, as is will be returning as un-useful with current design.

Used it for a couple of weeks and went back to my old Bagga-tote. This bag is heavy empty and the strap makes it hang badly, especially if it's unzipped. The hand straps get in the way. I own over a dozen Baggallini bags and this was the first failure to perform. Too bad, like the color.

I returned the bag because I couldn't figure out how to make it a cross body. Couldn't figure out how to get the strap out of the holder that made it a back pack.

I really wish Baggallini would use gold tone or matching dark hardware on more bags. It looks much more refined, not just functional. I hesitate to buy this bag because the silver hardware on black fabric. I love the functionality of these bags, but I want them to look classy too...especially for the price.

I bought this bag hoping it would be my travel bag. It is very nice but small. It's more of a medium pocketbook then travel bag. Side pockets weren't deep enough. And it just didn't hold enough for my purpose so returned it.

I ordered this item because I loved the concept of being able to convert from cross-body to back pack. However, I find the main compartment opening to be too small to be convenient to search for things and the side pockets too tight to hold my thermos. Love the fabric.

Purchased this for my girlfriend 2 weeks ago for our trip to Africa. The backpack straps fit well and are a welcome addition. Being able to convert the bag to a cross body is an added attraction. Size is just right for day Tripp's in the outback. However there is one flaw that is very irritating and I would return it if she didn't need it for a trip: The buckle on the strap to convert it from a cross body bag to a back pack will not fit through the loop near the bags top. This was a surprise for me. I own 4 Baggallini's and have never come across a flaw like this. Will look around for my day bag for Africa.

I'm giving this three stars because it was too small for what I needed, which was a carry-on bag. This bag would be great as a purse/tote to use every day. I purchased the Baggallini thinking it would be a good option for travel. Sadly, I had to return. If it was bigger I would have kept it.

I've tried a couple bags like this and they just don't work. As a backpack lover who would also love a convertible bag, I find that bags like this fall short. The backpack straps slide all around and it is impossible at times to put on. I love baggalini - but please add REAL backpack straps.

Convertible is a stretch. Sure, there are straps, but the are not stationary, so when you remove one shoulder, the whole bag falls trousers the ground. You could tie a knot at the top loop to hold them I'm place, but I decided not to settle, especially since this bag is actually pretty small, and I was hoping it would fit my carry-on needs. Quality is great, price is reasonable, just not the bag I became excited about. I will be returning it.

The bag is the perfect size for the traveling I will be doing. There are 2 items I wish were different--the handles are too short to be able to slip on the shoulder; the strap for shoulder and backpack mood is flimsy

I bought this specifically to use on weekends, hanging out, summer adventures. I also bought it because I have a toddler and need to be hands free. I want to use it only as a backpack but the straps don't stay at the place where I set them, so when I put it on like a backpack, the straps stretch out and slide and the whole thing gets lopsided. It's been an awkward adjustment to figure out how to put this on without looking so silly. I think there must be an easy solution but I haven't figured it out yet. I still like it and hope to adjust to it soon.
