The shoes are very cute and comfortable. The only issue was that the sock like upper didn’t work for me because my feet tend to roll out at the front and you could see it happening. I think I need more shoe there.

The fabric around the opening caused my socks to bunch up uncomfortably. I prefer the normal tongue style.

The shoe felt heavy and clunky. Bulky at the bottom.

These shoes just didn't have enough support for my overpronated, flat feet.

Shortly after I started wearing these the bottom layer bubbled off on both shoes. I had to keep gluing them back together to get my money’s worth.

The shoe was just not Comfortable at all

New balance changed this show design significantly from prior versions. The shoe fits like a sock and is very firm fitted and snug to the foot. If you like that, this is your shoe. They removed the tongue, which I don’t prefer. This shoe series, despite being ordered as a wide, always needs a break in period or the use of a shoe stretcher to accommodate a wide foot. That’s always been the case with the vongo series. The shoe has excellent cushion and is very springy and absorptive when walking. I’m returning this pair due to the sock like design changes. New balance should have called this a new style name and kept the Vongo series features they’ve had for several versions. Unfortunate because I’ve been a new balance devote for decades and am now moving to Brooks or Saucony.

THE NON MOVEABLE TONGUE OF THE SHOE DID NOT ALLOW ROOM FOR MY ORTHOTIC. UNABLE TO SPEAK TO COMFORT OR SUPPORT SINCE I COULD NOT GET MY FOOT INTO THE SHOE.

This shoe has a sort of built in sock top so it's REALLY difficult to put your foot in - especially if you are wearing socks. I didn't even bother putting both of them on, because I will not take the time to wrestle with it on a daily basis.

Narrower then past NB wide size. I have been wearing New Balance Size 8.5 D(wide) in a running shoe for more than 10 years and these Vongos felt narrower then those as soon as I slipped them on. I was so surprised and disappointed. I was looking forward to the fresh foam padding and dragon fruit color.

I had the Vongo v3 and absolutely loved them - I bought 3 pair. This version does not fit me as well so sadly, I am returning them. The integrated sock thing is cool, but it just does not hold my narrow heel in the same way. I am sad as I loved the previous version. I am an 8.5 W and am always glad when shoes have a decent pair available in W. Oh well, now back to trying on multiple pairs to find my next dream shoe.

These shoes are boats. I purchased these for road running - about 15 miles per week. I didn't even take them for a test run because they're that huge and unstable. I don't recommend.
