Fit perfectly. I have been buying this model for many years. No matter what model they change to it has always fit my feet. I have very wide feet due to bunions and these shoes accommodate that area perfectly. Very comfortable also, no breaking in.

I use this shoe for daily 2-4 mile fitness walks. This shoe has good support and stands up to uneven, hard terrain.

I have severe foot problems from old injuries and the place I went to always used New Balance as the choice for me and then modified them for me specifically. After the owners death that business closed. This model was his choice for the last shoes he did for me so that's why I ordered them. The only thing that I am disappointed in is that they no longer come in white which is my preference. Now I just need to find someone with the knowledge to modify them.

I have worn New Balance shoes for years. These are just what I expected. Comfortable and a great fit!

These are the best shoes I've ever owned. They support my feet and are cool and comfortable to wear. They also look great.

and my only complaint is that it is never on sale (though I can use accumulated points for it, but so what) and is one of the more expensive shoes you sell.

Have high insteps and am victim of plantar fasciitis. My doctor recommended New Balance and New Balance associate got me started on the 1540. It has undergone some adjustments over the years but the latest is amazing. Sturdy where you need it and cushioned where you need it! It seems that the latest model has a wider or roomier toe housing.

Of course this shoe has a different feel from fresh foam; whether I'm wearing it for cross training in the gym (where stability is an absolute must for me), or walking, I like the fit and feeling of being secure on my feet. Love this shoe! It's my third pair.

There is no need to break in these shoes. They are comfortable from day one. I like the cool mesh, the subtle gray color and the teal trim and laces. This is my everyday, go-everywhere pair of shoes. I wear my inserts in them and keep my feet in good condition for walking. Because of inserts, I order a 9-1/2 narrow. Because I have narrow feet and typically wear a "slim" there are one of a few brands that offer a narrow width.

I love this shoe. Actually, it's the only one I can wear. The stabilizer bar on the bottom, the large toe box....essential for me.

I love these shoes because they work for all my fitness activities-walking; Zumba & personal training. New Balance shoes like these work so well for me because they accommodate my AFO (Ankle Foot Orthoses) & orthodics. New Balance is the only shoe for me.

I have a size E width, and it's nearly impossible for me to find running shoes that properly fit. I've purchased shoes through New Balance before via store. This time, because of the quarantine, I decided to try my luck online. Using my old shoes' model number and size, I contacted New Balance customer service. Someone helped me find a comparable running shoe (in a newer model). I then used that recommendation to purchase online. I received the shoes within two weeks, and I'm very happy with them! Right now, they're a little stiff, but I'm breaking them in.

This is probably my fifth pair of 1540s, new version. Normally, I get them from my local New Balance store, who offers a money-back 30-day guarantee, worn or unworn. I've never returned them. The store is temporarily closed because of Covid-19, so I ordered them from the New Balance website. The return policy on the website is that returns must be within 30 days and shoes must be in new condition with no signs of wear. That made me a little nervous, since this is V3, and it seems like sometimes shoe models evolve a little over time. But these are as comfortable as the last several pairs I've had, and the color is waaaaaay better (prior ones have been a pale pale gray with turquoise, new ones are "gunmetal with dragonfly"). These shoes are great for my wide feet and for the way I walk (tend to overpronate), and they have tons of space for my toes. I've had problems with Morton's Neuroma, and the podiatrist said "New Balance, New Balance, New Balance". Physical therapist and doctor have also given plugs for New Balance shoes for my feet. I normally get better insoles (like Superfeet) or New Balance brand inserts and swap them out for the basic ones that come in the shoes. I've worn the new shoes several times, and haven't gotten around to putting in Superfeet, and the insoles the shoes came with aren't too bad, although they don't offer much arch support or cushioning, both of which I need.

I like the 1540 shoe. Could it be possible for you to make them in all black and all white again? They would go with everything. White in the spring and summer and the black in the fall and winter.

I walk for about 4 miles a day and I love these shoes. They are really comfortable for my feet with my arthritic bone growth that looks a lot like bunions. These shoes wear better with the anti roll feature. I always buy another pair when I start wearing the last.

I have had plantar fasciitis and relevant complications for over four years and recently finally went to a doctor about it. I was given orthotics and stretches to do. I wanted a new shoe that is firm and supportive to use the orthotics. This shoe is awesome! I've only worn NB for many years and have to say this is my favorite.

I was looking for a shoe that provided motion control and stability for my overpronation. I read all the shoe info and it boiled down to three shoes. Called your help / information center and explained my issues. I am so sorry I don't remember her name; however, she was knowledgeable and informative in helping me choose this shoe. Also, wonderfully friendly. ;-) Kudos to your help center. They best represent your brand! P.S. I have and have been wearing New Balance tennis shoes for over 10 years. I have wide feet and require a 2E.

My podiatrist recommended I start wearing a shoe with stability and as soon as he said New Balance, I was ALL over it!! From the moment I put my first pair on, my "bad" foot felt instantly better. They hug your feet and are very comfortable. Every time there is a new version, I pick up a new pair. My employer encourages walking and allows athletic shoes to be worn at all times. I never leave home without them.

I love them! Very nice material and style. I walk daily 6 miles and feel very good at the end of the walk! They are very comfortable!

I must have liked them the first time to go back and order another pair. Yes, I'm pretty happy with them.
