Just bought a pair of the New Balance work shoes with non-skid soles. Using the shoes for yard work. True to size and fairly comfortable shoes. So far, so good.

I have a new ankle. Comfort and stability unbeatable. Have both colors. Hard to improve on this

They are much better than the 990. More comfortable and they just feel better. I am a walker. I have been purchasing and wearing New Balance for over a decade. I also like the shoe laces, much better than the 990 series.

I use as my workout shoe and it looks great. I wear a double E width and it fits well.

I am a veteran who's feet were injured and these running shoes are the only ones I have ever found that give me any relief from foot pain.

This is my first pair of 1540v3, but I had seven or eights pairs of 1540v2 in previous years. Both fit my feet very well and provide great comfort.

I'm 70 years old and have been running, not racing, for 39 years. It keeps me alive and well. At 6'4" and 195 lbs, I need a shoe that manages the shock of the concrete sidewalk to keep me running, and the 1540 does just that.

I think New Balance is just about the only place I can buy extra wide shoes.

Great shoes, especially if you have flat feet and need stability. I used to wear V990 for jogging and loving 1540 even more. Still wear and love the 990s but 1540 show a marked improvement for me when it comes to let discomfort and pain associated with running / flat, pronated feet.

Love these shoes even lighter than previous model. These great for air flow so if you have sweaty feet even standing still but not a runner you should consider these. Flat feet people consider these also great motion control.

This is the only option New Balance offers in a running shoe in my size (13, 6E). Would like to have some other less expensive options.

My purchase a tad expensive but good shoes....need senior discount....
