Just didn’t work

fit was fine -- I have worn this style for years -- these were just skimpy on the lining and lumpy

TOO BIG, THE SHEARING DID NOT HELP WITH FOOT BED. MAKE THE SHOE LOOK TO MESSY

size 5 feet and I had to return because they ran en entire full size larger. :( be sure to size down

I saw these on someone else and thought they were "jolie laide." French for "so ugly they're cute." In the end, or at least on me - they were just ugly. Comfy as all get out -- but strange and ugly. And I'm betting that -- living in NYC, the shearline would have gotten filthy as anything within moments of my wearing them. Wanted to like 'em. Didn't.

My mocha suede shearling for at-home only wear are wonderful in bare feet and get a 5 star. I ordered the black shearling ones and the glue used to insert shearling was gloppy, stuck out on the inside of the sandal and felt like hard plastic needles in my feet. I sent those back for another black pair and the same problem existed with the black ones. I tried thinking the projections would wear away, but there is also a gap in the glued material and the shoe base, so it's not likely. Not going to pay that amount for sandals that aren't well made. That said, I have had many Birkenstock shoes and have never, ever encountered poor workmanship, so I am surprised that quality control slipped up on the black shearlings produced. Would have liked it if Zappos actually inspected this shoe before sending me another defective pair.

I am very disappointed because I wanted these shoes for an event and when they came the right shoe had no buckle holes. I was not going to put holes in them myself when I just paid so much for them.

The shearling wore out under great toe and heel area after wearing 1 season and as far as I can determine there is no way to replace the foot bed. I would not purchase again, and will not purchase other hybrid type Birkenstocks.

Much wider and larger than expected. Not align w arch in my size nor 1 size up. Sad as they appeared so comfy

These fit great, however, the interior left side of shoe has no fur, just excess glue that rubbed on my foot - I think they may have been a defective pair

Fit and size were fine but there was a flaw in the inside of one shoe which caused painful scratching/rubbing on one foot.

This is the second time I've tried these -- the first pair the fleece pealed away at the toe and the heal after a couple of wearings -- and now there are white spots where they pealed. The second pair I just tried on, and there's sharp bits of glue poking at the insides of the sandal. I'll try to order one more pair to see if I get a good pair. Very disappointed, as the first pair started out so comfy and cozy.

I love the look but have had to return twice and now again reordered due to glue and heal area missing fur. Am taking another chance and hoping it will be a perfect pair

Runs narrow

I’m disappointed in Birkenstock for making most of their women’s shoes in “narrow” instead of their regular width. I’ve worn Birks for 30 years, the whole purpose being the forefoot width. I thought I ordered these shoes in a 39R, but they arrived a 39N. I tried one on anyway, and of course my outer toes spilled over the edges despite the shoe being plenty long enough. So they’re going back. I put myself on the waitlist for the 39R. Two days later I received a back in stock notification. But guess what? It was for a 39N. ????

These fit about a size too small. Toe hits the very end. Need to size up a full size.

States that it accommodates a regular Birkenstock Medium width, but I tend to disagree. (I’m an original Birkenstock “Regular” width, so a bit in the wide side). I’m still not sure if I’ll be able to keep them. I really, emphasis on really, wish that Birkenstock would go back to their original sizing and fit. They are all I can wear without putting custom orthotics in my shoes. I’ve had a terrible time with fit lately. So disappointed over this.

I have multiple pairs of Birkenstocks. I was interested in trying these because of the Shearling lining. I was not pleased with the overall look. I'll stick to the simple sandal

Comfy and warm, but stained my feet black. Had to return.

The first pair I had worked out well--exceptionally comfortable in mocha brown. I ordered black ones next but they were defective--the fuzz was separated from the footbed as in poor workmanship. I exchanged them for another mocha colored pair and after 20 or so wearings, the fuzz receded away from the footbed by the big toe and the inner arch area leaving bare footbed. Since they cannot be returned now, I found some shearling material to take to a shoe repairman to see if he can piece and glue some more in to make do. Love these shoes, but this model of Birkenstock has a tendency for poor design and or workmanship from reading other reviews. The $145.00 price tag far exceeds the quality. This is surprising to me as Birkenstock has always had a good reputation--just not for this shoe. Looks like your chances of getting a well-made pair that lasts in this style is about 50-50. I bought these for my daughter for Christmas, per her request, and she loves the feel of the shearling lining. However, her feet do not stay in position like her feet do in her Birkenstocks without the lining. Her toes slide forward making it look as if the sandals are too small, but they are the correct size. Another problem is that when she wear socks with them the socks slide forward and bunches up around her toes. I would say return them, but she wants to keep them and is hoping that with further wear they will be her favorite sandals.

I'm a size 9-9.5 and these shoes make my feet look HUGE!! I felt like I had snowshoes on. Seriously it was awful! But they are super comfy and soft and would have been perfect for the Florida winter season. If I had a smaller foot they would have been adorable.

Something wrong either with this style or this particular shoe. The fit is weird and not like other Birkenstock. I’ve had this style of birk before but my feet are sliding through. I’d have to tighten them to the pin rod being u comfortable to keep the on my feet. The box was extremely worn. Im suspicious

Too difficult to buckle them very thick through the shearing lining

Left and right shoe did not seem the same. Fur was trimmed more on left shoe. It also seemed like the arch support was futher forward on the left shoe, pushing my foot forward making it look like the shoe was too big, although the right was fine. I ordered the same size as I already own in the unlined style. I also think the shoes could be a tad dangerous because your foot could slip out. It was also strange the shoebox was plain cardboard with no birkenstock name. Perhaps this is normal, but I have not experienced this before. Highly dissapointing as I expected better quality at this price. The return process takes much longer than it used to. It has been 2 weeks since UPS scanned the box and the refund is still processing on Zappos end.
