Love these but the shearling wears off. Bought a pair winter before last, but could not find any last year to replace them. So I bought them early this year, asking Zappos to send an alert when they became available, which they did. I wish Birkenstock would come up with a fix for the shearling wearing off, even if they could just remove it and replace it with something else. I just wear my old ones around the house. They run a little wide, but with winter socks they’re ok. People always compliment me on them. Mostly they just look so comfy:)

I like how they look and feel so cozy. But after one wear, I’m already a bit worried about how long the shearling will last. Will have to wear with care.

I felt compelled to write a review. I really wanted to LOVE these shoes. I'm a runner and these just called to me for my tired feet. I'm also a birki fan and own two other pair which I live in. First, I love the style and the way they look. I sized up but could have maybe even sized up one more with these. Here's my beef: there is a really sharp glue lining on either side of the shoes and I can feel it. It's not terribly uncomfortable (I'm not returning over it) BUT I notice it and wish I didn't AND for the price I feel like they could have been made better. I thought people should be aware of this as I didn't see anyone else mention it.

i love this sandal. However, the lining sheds and before long think there won't be anything left to the lining. It also made the sole of my foot perspire. For those reasons, I am returning this sandal. Thank you Zappos for your wonderful customer service.

I have always loved Birkenstocks. I love these, however, DO NOT wear these without socks because my feet turned black and it was very hard to get off! I really wanted to wear these barefoot, but you can't with these.

When will I learn, the new birkenstock styles do not have the same arch support as the original. These were cute but do not offer the support that I needed, so they're getting returned.

Loved everything about these, except for the fact that the shearling felt slippery for some reason. My foot kept sliding around in the shoe making them feel very unstable on my feet. Big issue for me due to balance and mobility issues. I have other shearling lined items by Birkenstock that do not have this same "finish". So sad to return these, I was really looking forward to having these in my rotation.

Was hopeful these would be better sizing and quality than previous color/sizes. The size is ok but inside seam beneath the lower strap has no / scant covering. Didn't notice at first - walking around house (on carpeted floors) just a few times irritated skin on foot. Birkenstock Shearlings have become inconsistent. A shame. Great looking.

I love the style and comfort; however, the black color is somewhat problematic. After only wearing the pair for a few times, the base of the sandal is showing through the black shearling at the top.

I was really excited to receive these as a gift. They run size-wise the same as my regular birks. However, the comfy sherpa wears very quickly. I wanted these to wear without socks in the fall and winter but after a few weeks of wear I needed socks again. Save yourself the money and just wear your "summer" birks with socks.

Cozy feeling However, I am normally a narrow but these were tight w little strap with and the foot and heel bed were too snug. I got a 39 but I think a 40 or a 39 wide. And I have a narrow foot.

These are beautiful shoes. Unfortunately after wearing them in the house during one day, the shearling is wearing off around the edges of the shoes.

Loved the look and feel of the (furry) lining.It looked like it would not hold up to wearing and the strap area was already showing this.

I just don't like the color on me. I am keeping the fuschia.

Was so excited to get these! But I got them in black and they immediately created a black ring around my foot that I had to scrub off. I guess I'm glad I wasn't wearing socks that would have certainly been stained. Really too bad as I found them to be very cute and warm. Will be returning.

There was a problem with this pair. The cut inside the right foot hurts. It was not shaped properly.

Truly a narrow shoe. Not as soft as shearling, felt synthetic. I love my birks but had to pass on these.

I really wanted to love these, but they did not work out for me. They are offered in two widths, and I selected "Regular", as I usually am a B/Medium, not a narrow. I cinched the buckles to the tightest hole, but the sandals still felt a bit wide. I know Birkenstocks are not the most attractive shoes, but with the addition of the shearling and the fact that I ordered the mocha color, my feet looked like they belonged to a hairy gorilla. I may try the regular Arizona style with no shearling, but had to send these back.

I compared my old pair of shearling birkenstocks to the new and there was a significant difference in the width on the new, despite that they both had all of the same codes and were both narrow sized. Way too big a difference for me. The new footbed is very loose.

The area on side of shoe where the sole meets the straps felt very sharp against the foot making it uncomfortable.

Loved just about everything about them except that my foot slipped forward when walking. I tightened them as tight as I could get them to help solve the problem but it didn’t work. Maybe it is one of those things that fixes itself once you have them broken in (much like other birks) but this was an immediate deal breaker for me.

The fleece peals away from the footbed very easily.

These are really comfortable and have helped my back due to the increased arch support but after just a few wears the shearling look terrible. It’s coming off of the sides and not how I expected them to wear at all.
