I had to return this pair. It feels tighter than the first Asics Duomax pair I bought (and liked). There is also a "clicking" sound that it makes whenever I walk in them. I had hoped it would work its way out, but it's been enough time to give up.

Returned these because there is a hard...plate? Under the ball of the foot. Not sure if it has some sort of deliberate function, but it made for a very uncomfortable wear.

The length/width was a good fit but this is a poor running shoe. I should have stuck to the GT-2000 like always, but the reviews said this was good so I trusted them. It cuts and run my ankle on the front sides and has NO arch support. I will never buy these again.

I've been buying ASICS for years and am always happy with them right out of the box. Until this pair. The color is a bit more dull than what I see in the pictures on the site. I can live with that but they are also too big. I bought the same size I always buy and they are so much bigger. There is about an inch of space between my toes and the front of the shoe. I've never had this happen with ASICS before. Will return them and try a different pair of ASICS.

They were much bulkier than I expected them to be. Seemed heavy. I sent them back.

These shoes are narrower than expected, thus they hurt my feet even sitting down.
I'd also recommend:
I'm looking into a flexible sneaker with lots of cushion and comfortable arch.

The color in the photo is reddish, but in real life this shoe is neon pink! POOR PHOTO shows wrong color! Change your photo for accuracy! Disappointed...wanted what I saw in the photo!

I returned these. They were SO. HEAVY. And the sole was far too rigid for me.

I have worn Asics for well over 15 years, and this was by far the worst pair I ever tried on. They were so tight my feet went numb, and the nerves in my feet caused excruciating pain. Unless you have super narrow feet, I would not recommend them. I have already returned them!

Worn this ASICS model for as long as I can remember. Never had an issue with the fit before. The 8 has a high and super-cushion heal/ankle area compared to other GT-1000 models I have worn. I did not realize how significantly different this fit was until I ran and got blisters and sore ankles (still sore 10 days later) from this shoe. The GT-1000 version 9 does NOT have this issue, so if you are looking to buy this series of shoe, go with the newer model. Avoid the 8. Waste of my money.

I have been wearing the GT-1000 for years as a runner. I run anywhere from 3-20 mile distances, and the GT-1000 has always been the best fit for me. THIS version of the GT-1000, however, is fitted much more like the GT-2000. It has a high back heel cushion that This model rubs my ankles into blisters when I run more than 3 miles at a time. I buy the GT-1000 instead of the GT-2000 because of the difference in heal cushion...and the GT-1000 8 is built in a way that makes it unlike any other GT-1000 model I have previously bought before (I have used almost every GT-1000 model that has existed). I previously had the GT-1000 9, and that version didn't have the heal cushion issue at all, so if you are choosing to go with the GT-1000, go with the 9, not the 8.

I bought these shoes 6 months ago. I don't wear them every day and use them for walking. Like a previous reviewer, within 4 months, the inside fabric started falling apart and now 2 months later they need to be replaced. This is the second time this has happened to me. While comfortable, I would expect the shoes to last longer than that.

The shoes were the wrong width - I've never worn a "D" width in my life; so, I don't know if I made a mistake on my order or if the companty sent the wrong size because they were out of my width!

I bought these shoes 3 months ago and wear them twice a week for walking and they have all ready started deteriorating. The back of the heal inside the shoe has ripped and the top of each shoe have holes. Very disappointing as I buy ASICS each year and have never seen a pair with such poor quality.

Asics have always worked for me, but there was something structurally different about this shoe. I have a high arch and every time I wore these shoes for an hour, my feet hurt.

Too hard, no give or bounce. After a few workouts with pain in my legs and back after each one, I've realized that I can't wear them.

I have worn the Gt-1000 6( love them) Gt-1000 7 ( not as good but tolerable) but the Gt-1000 8 are just no good. Wore for less than a week and they literally make feet, ankles, knees, hips and back hurt so bad had to take off work.

Purchased 2 pairs of Asics. This one had to be defective since there weren't any issues with other. The toe box for the right shoe was so tight, it was hurt the top of my big toe. Returning.
