Great cushioning. My step is a little bouncier with these shoes!

These Asics were fine but, medium is too wide, and slipping at the heel. My mistake,
was hoping the med. would fit. :(

Had to order a half size up from usual size in ASICS and they are still too snug. I'm keeping them but hoping to break them in soon. Definitley recommend to order at least one full size up from regular if you have wider feet. Which is weird because all of my other ASICS have been my usual size.

These didn't work for me. Too snug & not the right support. Seem durable, & stylish colors however.

Runs small. Had to get a full size up. Extremely comfortable once I found the right size. I wear them for work at a casino and I am walking most of my shift.

Shoes are more narrow than previous models of the 1000GT.

I bought these as I've been running specifically in ASICS GT-1000 after getting a gait analysis done. These are NOT the same and have gravely irritated my feet. They do not provide the same heel support as others, nor do they have the posted midsole. For a casual shoe, they're fine. If you can run in any shoe, probably fine. But if you specifically are looking for a newer model of GT-1000, these are NOT what you want. (Slightly less important- they appear red but are actually VERY hot pink!)

I have severe over pronation so I specifically bought these shoes since they were targeted for people like me. Whenever I wear these shoes WITH my custom orthotics, I'm able to stand for long periods of time. Wearing these shoes WITHOUT my custom orthotics still gives me slight support but my feet still hurt. I would recommend wearing these with your orthotics if you have really flat feet like myself, these shoes greatly reduce pain in combination with orthotics. My only complaint is that the size runs a half size smaller than most shoes companies so order a SIZE UP just to be comfortable. I made the mistake of ordering my actual size (10) and the shoes are tight. Next time, I'll order a 10.5.

The shoe does not run true to size, its tight. It does not have the feel of a good cushion as other models of this shoe do.

Not the most comfortable pair of shoes. I would not run on these.

For some reason the shoe got smaller. I ordered this exact pair last year and this time I ordered the same size but it's almost a size smaller. Not happy with this purchase

Soft support, uneven in spots. Toes feel unsupported, and tend to ache after a workout. Did not experience this with my previous pairs. Not recommended for walking on sidewalks. But are nice looking

I've ordered these in the past. I have always really liked them. Th last ones I got seem to run a bit smaller. Not sure why.

These shoes had the comfort and stability that led me to ASICS many years ago. At this point in my life, however, these felt too bulky for running or anything other than walking. Although I need a somewhat stiff sole, these were too bulky for so little flexibility. I sized up a half size from my street shoe size. They felt a little big, but they might have been okay because the arch was in the right place. The color is nice and simple. If you are used to bulky, supportive shoes, you might like these. I sent them back.

I have a 12 N foot and high arches. Almost no sneakers come in 12 N, so my default is SAS. They are very well made and very comfortable, albeit not gorgeous. Anyway, I also have a pair of Asics gel 12 M which I probably bought at a Nordstrom Rack- the “on sale” mentality. They have been a great fit and very reliable and comfortable. With covid quarantine I have been walking many miles a day, and decided it was time for new sneakers. I took a chance on Asics Gel, without really knowing anything about the different styles. When ordering, I went with 4-5-star shoes and I avoided ones which seemed only for running, as I am not a runner. I ended up trying Venture 7, GT 1008, Scram 5, and Contend 6. The GT 1000-8 went back in its box right away- it felt heavy and stiff and was not a quiet walk. The Scram 5 was instantly comfortable when I put it on, and I am keeping it. The other two are very close, for my foot, and I ended up picking the Contend 6, as it is just slightly more comfortable on my foot, although I very much also liked the Venture 7. Now I have to decide if I am keeping my new SAS Tour Mesh- the problem with them is only cosmetic- they make my feet look quite long. The Asics Gel shoes do not have that effect- I just look like a normal person wearing a normal sneaker. For a size 12 gal, that is a fabulous experience.

Really like the shoe, however, it was way too tight through instep. Had to return. Does not run true to size.

I bought these to add to my lovely collection and oh my do my feet kill me. I wore them 2 times and I am so sore it's unreal. I need overpronate which these are. And my feet and ankles up to my knees have been sore since I wore them. Now I'm an asics girl have been for about 6 years or so and now I'm seriously disappointed right now. If I didn't wear them I'd return them. I work in the medical field. These are super uncomfortable for flat feet...

I've worn Cumulus for years and decided to see if there was some other model that would also be an option for my funny foot. The GT-1000 8 says it's for those who overpronate like me. But in these shoes, the outside of the shoe (along my pinky toe) rolls my foot in, the exact thing I don't want in a shoe. I'm sending these back for something else.

These GT 1000 8 were not as comfy as another Asics I am trying (Venture). I like they way they look better, but they are a little clunky and stiff and hurt in several places. Not cushiony and they have a heavy heel feeling when walking if you like that.
