I usually wear Kayano or Metarun for long-distance running, they fit my feet well. This pair of Kayano 26 are the worst ASICS I've ever own, they run small with very weird fitting, gave me pains after running for just 5 miles. Don't buy.

Really unique and pretty shoe for an athletic shoe. The 9M was a bit wide in the toe box for me, so I'm exchanging for a 1/2 size smaller. If you like some room across the toes or your feet swell during exercise, this shoe will be wonderful in your normal size. If your feet skew towards narrow, you might want to order the N or a 1/2 size smaller than normal. Love my Asics Gel Kayanos, my 6th pair!

The soft area around the ankle was torn in several places on both sneakers after a few weeks of light use. The padding inside has also gotten less cushion-y over the years. This will be my last pair of what was once my favorite and only sneaker.

I was extremely disappointed in these shoes. I'm on my feet for 12 hours at work and my current pair of shoes is the Gel-Kayano 25 which keeps my feet happy. The 26 doesn't even compare. After my 12 hour shift, I could barely stand to walk another step because my feet, legs and knees hurt so bad.

I bought these in March 2020, and within a few weeks, both shoes were torn around the ankles. I reported the problem to ASICS several times, receiving only a "thanks for your patience" auto-reply. I have worn ASICS for a decade with no complaints. So disappointed they do not stand by their products!

The Tokyo special edition runs smaller than the standard Kayano 26. The instep was very tight. Kayano is the typical sneaker for people with orthotics and between the orthotic and the smaller cut, I actually bruised it was so tight. Returned.

I am so disappointed with this shoe. My first pair in Peacock blue were absolutely perfect and lasted 4 months. This time, they only had the black in my size (supposedly). The left shoe feels like an 8 narrow, the right shoe was an 8.5 but also narrow. They were the same SKU but the shoe was completely different and awful!

Loved my Gel Kayano 25's figured id get the next gen 26's.. my feet have never hurt so bad after running or a normal day at the office. If you are a 25 fan, stick with them!! Unfortunately i cannot return them, needed a new pair ASAP and wore them for 4 days.

Tried this style as it was promoted for over pronation and stability. It was a huge disappointment. Footbed too squishy and heel wrap not stable.
I Wore the Evolution DuoMax for 7 years. Would purchase two pairs at a time. Why was it discontinued? Please bring back or design a comparable shoe.

Extremely disappointed. I returned the shoes. I wore Gel Nimbus for years and stopped when they became smaller, shorter and narrower with less cushion. I waited 5 years and decided to try the Kayano. This sealed it for me. I will not buy Asics again. These shoes are very stiff, there is no cushion in the fore-foot and they were like walking on boards. I don't know why this company has chosen not to listen to its loyal customer base.

I know people love these but after trying multiple sizes (and recommended styles) they just don't work for me and I will be sticking with Hoka One One for now. My narrow heels lift out of these and while the length is good (I'm 7.5-8.5 in sneakers) there something about the toe box that bother my big toe like it's hitting a hard edge. I wanted these for dance cardio and sculpt class at home and maybe walking and there's not enough support in them for my sensitive feet and knees. I do really like simple black and white style.
I'd also recommend:

I was so excited for this color combination!! Ive been wearing Kayano since forever! always the same size...BUT these were a huge disappointment! they were 1/2 size smaller than my Kayano 25.I even tried 1/2 size bigger, but then they were too big. Sadly had to return.

Been wearing Kayano since I could remember...this Kayano 26 was a dissappointment! They are 1/2 size smaller than all my older Kayano's . I even tried 1/2 size bigger, but too big. SAD

Poor quality shoe. I only wear these inside for light walks. In as little as 3 weeks they are already wearing on the sides. I hope Customer care will replace these shoes. I've barely used them. First pair of ASICS I've ever had a problem with.

These are the only running style of shoes I have worn for the last 7 years. This is the first year the kayano shoes ran significantly shorter than previous models. I actually went up a 1/2 size to try and make them work. Sadly, they just aren't right. I hope the 27 have the proper fitting.
