We liked these and my son has worn them a lot BUT the Velcro has totally stopped holding together after only 5 weeks of use. I would definitely not advise buying these. Have not had trouble with other Nike Velcro shoes in the past.

THE WORST Nikes! We always buy this exact style for our son because they are easy to wear, however, these are poorly made and the velcro doesnt stay attached! They come off when he runs. He does not have wide feet or a high instep, it's a poorly designed shoe. Wish we could return them!

Like other reviewers, after a few weeks of use, the velcro on these shoes fully refuse to stay closed and will not stay on my son's foot!

Shoe falling apart! I purchased these shoes for my 10 y.o. son. Within three weeks the glue that holds the rubber to the fabric around the toe of the shoe has come apart and is loose and baggy. Additionally the rubber has ripped. These are not durable shoes. Very disappointed!

My son loved these shoes and they fit fine except for the strap. The strap is too short to connect fully to the Velcro on the other side when the shoe is on his foot. It is so short it barely connects 1/4" when pulled as tight as possible.

The straps on these shoes are really horrible - they are not long enough to attach to the Velcro on the other side of the shoe. Even if I pull really hard, the end barely reaches and as soon as my son starts walking around they come undone. He says they keep falling off at school because the straps won't stay closed.

The issue with these shoes is that the velcro wore out really quickly. As my child would run, the velcro would open and the shoe would fall off.

The sneakers are falling apart. The rubber on the bottom is peeling off. My son has had the sneakers for about a month. He hasn’t even been wearing them much because these are his “nice” sneakers and he has a junkie pair for the yard. Nike has once again been a disappointment. Zappos has been great with timely delivery during the pandemic.

Found to be true to size. My son loves these. Laces don’t need to be tied, is only a Velcro closure.

These shoes are fine but the strap that velcros across the top is way too short! I’ve had these shoes for my son in other versions and haven’t had this issue. And he’s never needed wide shoes or anything. I’m not sure why they made it so short but the strap pops open whenever he walks. He can’t even wear them anymore.

These are great shoes but definitely for a narrow foot. They don’t seem to have enough Velcro if your kids feet are a little on the wider side. We have loved them but friends say they don’t fit their kids wider feet.

Favorite sneakers for my kids. I buy in different styles and colors and every half size up as needed

My son chose these(pretty similar to his current pair of Nike’s) The fit and style are great, however, he does complain that the strap for the Velcro isn’t very long hence doesn’t do a proper job of really securing the shoe. But we’ll still keep them. Plus, couldn’t beat the $40.00 price tag.
